Rooting roses in coco coir. Deseas

Hi all! I fell in love with roses, especially ancient ones, about a year ago and I'm learning how to clone them.I experimented with different methods of cloning with some success. I'm currently trying to make cuttings in coconut, using transparent plastic cups with holes in the bottom, the hormone in gel and liquid fertilizer for rooting. My cuttings are rooted faster, some in less than 2 weeks, but at some point begin to rot and die. (I keep them in a light and airy place, but not in direct sun!)Can someone please explain to me why my cuttings are rotting?Thank you
