| I am a beginner to growing roses. I have a 100 foot fence and two Don Juan red rose plants that have done very well. I would like to know how to take cuttings and start new plants to cover the fence. |

| There are numerous links/tips/tricks to growing roses from cuttings. I tired the redwrench.com method in my garage but think the temps were too warm here in NE Florida this time of year. Now I'm following George Mander's info and directions on his site http://www3.telus.net/georgemander/ and it seems to be working pretty good indoors under florescent lighting. I have 45 cuttings in production and only one cutting has lost all it's leaves, and a few have lost just a couple. Either way it's been almost 3 weeks and the cuttings are still nice and green with some showing signs of budding. You could also just Google "growing roses from cuttings" and it will return lots of sites, each with a different take on the process. |
Here is a link that might be useful: George Mander's Rose Setup
