Transplant question.

I thought I posted this last week, but I don't see it listed so I guess I goofed up. Anyway, I purchased several cuttings of roses which were in small pots. They seem to be doing well. Should I transplant them into one gallon pots, which I will bring into my garage this winter, or should I leave them alone? I don't think they are ready to be put into the ground. Thanks for the help - Barb

I move rooted cuttings from the little pots to gallons as soon as I'm confident that they have enough roots to hold the root ball together. You don't want them to be pot bound, but the available soil should be well occupied.
