climbing rose cutting

hi
if I take a cutting from a climbing rose , will it grow as a climber? or does the root stock determine whether it be a climber or not?

| I would certainly hope so. I know the cuttings I made a few years ago of a few climbers resulted in new climbers. Just took a few years to get really big. |

| It will grow as the variety that you cut it from, meaning the grafted variety. So, if you take a cutting from Blaze grafted on Dr. Huey and root it, you will get a plant of Blaze on its own roots. The rootstock has nothing to do with whether or not the grafted variety is a climber. |
