Is this bad?

I put a broken stem from my Hot Cocoa in a container, dusted the bottom of it with a rooting powder and covered it with a glass jar. I looked at it tonight and it had mold on it. Will that hurt it? Thanks for the info - Barb

It is summer, I doubt you need the glass jar. Hot Cocoa is very easy to root. I've just stuck a broken piece in the ground next to the bush and it rooted very quickly.
