Looking for small misting system

| I am building a box for propagating roses using a domed skylight for the top, so it will be approximately 40" x 50". I want to put in an automatic misting system, but all the ones I'm finding are for bigger greenhouses. Does anyone know of a small system for sale somewhere?
Thanks! |

| The best value in mist systems is at Dripworks. Look at their Greenhouse Kit. It comes with lots of tubing, all the fittings, and 10 mist heads, but you don't have to use all of them. Connie (you may have to scroll down on the link below.) |
Here is a link that might be useful: Greenhouse Kit
Thank you, Connie!!

| That looks great. I really appreciate it, I've been searching online without much success. |

| Here is another option I posted about a couple of months ago. It worked for me. I would switch to the 0.5 gallon per hour (GPH) misters though. I had mine in a sand bed which received full sun from morning until some time after lunch. The misters ran 24 hours per day since I never found an economical timer that would come on for a few minutes many times per day. You will need to watch that mold doesn't grow on your cuttings. Good luck. POSTED PREVIOUSLY I put a number of cuttings into a sand bed 2 weeks ago. Used Rootone powder and placed an Arizona mister (blue in color) on them 24 hours per day. They receive full sun through around lunch or early afternoon then are shaded from the afternoon sun. This is the link to the FAQ http://faq.gardenweb.com/faq/lists/rosespro/2003063646004668.html I have recently found some misters -- 0.8 GPH -- which are supposed to work on drip irrigation equipment. http://www.dripdepot.com/1163.html Other misting heads can be found here http://www.dripdepot.com/search.html?id=5Q69A3Ke Because the AZ mister has only 2 mist heads which shoot out at 45 degree angles, I expect to stake 1/2 inch irrigation line in a rectangle around the sand bed, place the 0.8 GPH mister heads about 2 feet apart so that the cuttings will have the mist regardless of wind direction (the sand bed is on the edge of a field with no sides or top to block the wind). |

When I wanted a cool place in the yard for some doggies, I just tied a flat drip watering hose to the top of the fence with the tiny holes facing UP rather than down. Worked like a charm, sending cool mist over the area. Cheap, easy and effective. I have NO idea if this would work for roses, but it's a thought anyway... Barb |

| I few years ago I successfully started many rose cuttings in full sun under continuous daytime mist. I turned it off overnight. I did not have an official misting system, but rather had one of those hose-end sprayers that I could adjust to a fine mist. Of course this generated a modest amount of extra water that I didnt want to waste (about 15-20 gallons/day), so I 'collected' it via plastic sheeting under the entire set-up (which was tilted), and diverted it to a small yard pond (add nothing that would harm fish of course). If you had it high enough, you could collect any extra water in a garbage can and use it to water other things. This of course took a bit of extra work, but when you live in a drought area, every little bit helps. And it only takes a few weeks for rooting to occur. SL. |

| Hello, I can hook you up with a bonified mist system, new or used (timer, mist heads, rubber hose), you can add to it as much as you like depending on water pressure you have. The timer goes from seconds to minutes and is programmable for 1 to 7 days a week, and as many times in a 12-24 hr period. Mist heads are anti drip. |
