I'm trying to get some seeds going from Olympaid -- would you believe the seeds are coming thru the top of the hip !!
The hip itself is not expanding. Did anyone ever hear of this??? Will this work??
The stem is not drying up nor the hip. I started this in the spring. Still going. |

| They are called exogenous seeds. Though it doesn't happen that often it isn't uncommon either. My "My Hero" plant has the same thing happening with its hips. Some people collect those seeds earlier because they are afraid they might dry out before the rest of the seeds are mature. Others just wait and collect them all at the same time. I collect mine all at the same time, though I haven't done any experimenting to see if it makes a difference. |
