Cuttings dying

I am trying to start 10 rose cuttings and have them in a 3 to 4 inch pots which I have setting in a large plastic container. I have a clear plastic cover over the cuttings. They where doing well with a few small new leaves starting to grow. Now they are starting to turn yellow and die. They are under a 3 bulb light fixture with Gro Lux bulbs; the temperature is in the mid 70Âs. I am using Sunshine Mix 4 as recommended by George Mander. The soil feels moist and I have been misting them every other day. Any suggestion as to what I may be doing wrong?

Did you use a rooting hormone?
How long have they been in the soil?

How far are there from the lights?

Is water collecting at the bottom of the bin?

The soil is Sunshine mix 4 which is airy. They have been in for just over 4 weeks. The light is within 6-8 inches of the plants, right on top of the plastic container that I have the potted cuttings setting in. I have the pots setting on a grid about 3/4 inches high so not to let the water that is in the containers touch the pots. I did not use rooting hormone.
