I found out that in some ocuntries, the import law requires that roses import into the country must be sprayed with a herbalcide so they are "killed" and cannot be propagated from. So only locally grown roses would be exempted. Anyway, the best way to propagate roses from cut flowers is grow some rootstock and learn how to do budding. This gaurantees sucess when you need the certainty.

well those pages were very informative thanks, but I dont have that kind of a cutting. The original leaves are mostly dead, and I have like 5 NEW shoots growing off of the old stem. Should i just cut them off and use them just like normal size cuttings? They are just like little branches with four or five leaves on them a piece. Thanks for the help and the help to come.
