| These mature once-bloomers (and Austin) have never set open pollinated hip in the last 4 years they've been planted. They are large, healthy, and productive rose bushes with blooms to die for, but never, EVER have I seen a hip form on either one! Why is this?

Are they not fertile?
I'm very new at this. |

| Many hybrids (which means all of the roses bred by David Austin) don't set hips. Their pollen can be used in crosses. |
