First successful rooting

I have successfully rooted a Linda Campbell. I rooted it in Coir in a clear plastic glass. This is a first. In about a week it will be ready to be transplanted. As I am new at this please help me to grow this into a mature plant by answering these questions. As I don't want to lose this cutting all suggestions and advice will be much appreciated.

1. When I transplant it into another pot do I remove the coir? If so what is the correct way to do this? Should I soak it in transplant solution?

2. I will be using compost as the potting medium. Should I mix it with garden soil? If so at what ratio?

3. Should I add slow release 10-10-10 fertilizer to the mix?

4. Should I still keep it enclosed? It is now in an aquarium with a glass lid under a 48-inch florescent light.

5. How often do I water it?

6. How do I fertilize it, with what kind and how?

I will be much obliged if the answers are in sequence.

Thank you.

RE: First successful rooting

Roses do not seem to like having their roots messed with, they like a lot of water but the water has to drain away from the plant pretty fast, and they do not like change. Going from a aquarium to outside must take place slowly and best done in steps. Go easy on the fertilizer there is plenty of time for growth once it is established outside.

I would make sure the roots are well established in the container you have it in now before you move it, make sure there are many roots.
