Taking cuttings inside?

cweathersby

Hey all!

I had great success this summer in rooting roses in storage baggies filled with peat moss and sand.

I took loads of cuttings the other day and used the same method only I left the baggies inside my house on a window sill. I figured that this way they would get indirect sunlight, just like the other cuttings were getting underneath my storage shed outside.

Will the heat of the house hinder or help the cuttings?

I've noticed that the heat is making the cuttings put out leaves, but they do not have roots yet. Are they trying to grow too quickly? Will this hurt them?

Carrie
