I Don't know, they all abandoned us. the newbies to this forum tried to do swap Nov. but no one supported it, so we had to cancel. Sorry I don't know where the all went.

    I sure do miss them!!

Hi Denise & proudgm, that is a shame, that was the first RR I join and I really got to enjoy it and everybody in it.

Denise I hope you are right, but I don't think so

Carmen-What do you mean, you don't think so? I really enjoyed that group. There are some nice groups in the RR but there is not another group that matches the enthusiam and spirit of the pp group. If they are gone for good I will definitely miss them too. They were very warm and welcoming.

She sent me the most awesome Butterfly book, and some truly wonderful seeds for starting my butterfly garden.

I really liked that group too. There were some really nice people in it. I hope if someone's feelings got hurt that they are able to forgive and forget. I hate to see the group come to an end. What's up ladies?

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. I should have dropped a note to let everyone know that I wouldn't be trading during the winter months this year. (moneys a bit tight) I'm hoping to do a trade or 2 this spring/summer. I do not have any hurt feelings with anyone, just into other things for the time being. I just thought things would go on as normal with out me. The Petal Pushers are a great group of people and I've made many good friends here! :0) I, too, hope to see more around come spring! Take care everyone! I'll try to pop in a bit more often.

No problems here either. I usually do only a couple of Petal Pusher swaps a year and rarely after October. That's one of the things I enjoy about the group (same with MNF). You can pop in for a trade or two when you have time/money/inclination, but there is no minimum number of swaps you must do. I am sure now that the holidays are over and with spring coming there will be increased activity.

Every once in a while it's nice to take a break. ;)
I've been lurking/reading the posts whenever I can, but haven't swapped for a few months. I've been sooo busy! Things should calm down soon, hopefully.

    Hugs,

Blah, Blah (making a silly face to my self) There just are a few of you nuts out there that I care about.

    Hello eveyone!

It's been a while since I've come on here to say hello, HELLO!

I have been trying very hard to stay off here just to try and heal my neck. I have done a couple of seed swaps but that's it. I was never a big fan of sending out winter boxes, I like to share plants more than seeds and stuff that you don't know if someone will like.

I can say that I know where Tracy is, she's playing mafia wars on facebook along whith many other garden webbers. I myself don't play but I do keep in touch with my nieces that way.

I have started to slowly but surely get my winter sowing done so soon it will be spring and we will be up and running again!

    No hurt feelings here

There are a lot of GWers on facebook, playing Mafia Wars (quite violently I might add...) and Farmville. To that, I'll add my "HELLO", and go play with my seeds while I wait for the Hope for Haiti telethon.

    Hi Everyone!!

I am still around, it has just been one crazy winter! Working a lot of hours (I am NOT complaining, too many ppl out of work) And with it being dark so early it just seems like there is no time to get anything done.

I am sure we will start filtering in the closer it gets to spring and planting time. I am ready for a good RR box full of plants! : )

I am soooooo ready for spring!! I got some trees from Arbor Day, joined in Oct, and they sent my trees the middle of Dec! They have been in a vase of water ever since I got them and they are budding out! I am going to get them in some dirt this weekend!

Gosh no!! There are no hurt feelings! I think it's just the winter hum drums after the holiday rush.

Lisa, How is your neck doing? I'm glad to know I can still get some WS in, I started to do some a few weeks ago in one of those seed starting trays and didn't put it outside because I wasn't done with it. Well, it has started sprouting up all over and now it's too late to move them outside : (

How about everyone else? Other than wondering where all the PP's went, what has everyone been up to?

Hmmmm...... I think maybe I will ponder on putting together an April Fools swap anyone else game? We will have lots of time to think about it!

I'm still around....Had some computer problems and then internet troubles too.

I haven't done any trading this winder. It was so wet all last summer I didn't collect any seeds.

Carmen-I'm sure Sassy will start up Petal Pushers again.

Vic-Hey Girl! My son in law plays Mafia Wars. I've had dial up for years and finally have High Speed Internet. So I wasn't able to play Farmville or any of the games on Facebook.

Lisa-Take care of that neck of yours.

Everyone else I missed a big hello!!!

Hi All, I have been "away" for probably a couple years now as I retired and started traveling in my RV. That limited my plants and my access to swapable stuff and sometimes to the internet.
I'm sorta settled now but ina less than great climate for most of the plants I love.
OH well, it's a good choice, all in all and I still have stuff growing in pots.
Good to see so many of the old regulars popping in to say hello. I'll keep lurking.
Farmville sounds like fun but I better not get hooked on anything else for a while. I have two quilts in progress to be concentrating on.

    Hello everyone,

It's been a rough patch for our family from October through Christmas. We lost our dear Grandpa, my husband's Dad just a few days before Christmas, he had prostate cancer and began to quickly decline mid-October and required constant care. He died at home on December 20, the funeral was on Christmas Eve.

It has been a very busy few months and honestly, I was not feeling up to my normal chatty self. Between all of that, family, and recovering from being so sick I was just not up to it.

Yes, it's true, I was playing mafia wars on Facebook. It's a nice distraction when you're cooped up and not feeling well and not particularly social. Things are getting better. We all miss our Grandpa quite a bit. Especially hubby, they were very close. They worked together for years in the family business. Grandpa taught hubby all he knew about bricklaying from the time hubby was a teen.

Anyway, I'm not up for trading yet either. I have promised several people a box this spring and will follow through with it but mainly I think I am going to be on the sidelines. I may change my mind at some point but we'll see. I need to keep things contained for the time being and not spread myself too thin.

One thing I would like all of you to know is that YOU are the Petal Pushers. There is not one person here who is the leader. It is the sum total of all you wonderful ladies that makes this group work. There have been many times in the past where just a few people signed up for a swap. They traded anyway, sending their best plants, there love of gardening and most importantly their friendship to their partner. Please keep doing what you do best. Laugh, share stories, share your gardens, share your friendship with each other. It is what makes you so completely amazing and wonderful to me.

Hugs to all of you, do not wait for us oldies, you newbies are much too important and special for that.

Well said Tracy! It's great to see you hon! :) I'm sorry to hear about Grandpa, I know that must have made the holidays quite difficult...it has been a year and 1/2 since my mom passed and I'm still not feeling like I'm able to REALLY throw myself into anything big on here yet... Just know we care about you, you and all the other ladies that haven't been around in awhile, for whatever reasons.

SassyD was my very first PP trading partner and she was wonderful to get to know and teach me how it all works. :)

I'm sure things will pick up in the Spring, they always do! Lots more people come out of hibernation when the green starts peeking out of the ground and the days grow warmer!

    Hugs everyone!

Hi, Lovely Ladies-It's so great to see some of you posting again. I think of each of you so many times & wondered if we would get going again. I knew some of you would come through, though.

Maybe someone will come up with a swap for March St Patrick's Day or another kind with Spring coming. I just can't now as my DH had a heart attack the 1st of Jan & I took him back last weekend for another 3 stents. He is a candidate for a pacemaker but he says no to that. Will find out the last of the month how much damage was done with this last attack. This is his 4th so there is quite a bit of damage from them. Pray for him when the Lord brings him to your mind if you would.

Vic-It is so good to see you posting. How is Zack doing? Please post & let us know. Such a cutie!

Will be lurking so keep those posting coming, Ladies. Love them! Blessings, Margaret

It sounds like many of you have had some extremely hard times. Perhaps we need a Rest and Relaxation swap to start us off.

Wendy, thank you for your condolences, it was a very strange Christmas. We almost didn't do it but I decided that Grandpa wouldn't be to thrilled with that so we cooked up dinner and brought it over to Grandma's, rallied the cousins and Aunts, Uncles and it turned out to be a beautiful day for all of us. Even with the funeral the day before it was as if he were still there with us. We did enjoy our day, lived it fully, enjoyed each other that we were blessed to have in our company and remembered him very sweetly. It was a good day.

I did just speak to SassyD last night. She is very busy right now, her brother is very ill and she is taking care of him. Your prayers would be very welcome for him right now.

Margaret, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your husband. I will pray for him each day. I hope his tests come back better than expected. I'm praying for you too, dear lady. Be strong, take heart, we love you sweetheart. (((hugs)))

Becky, I think that is a nice idea. Go for it.

    See you soon,
    Tracy

Hi, everyone! This is my first time checking in, in a while too. It's good to hear from so many, though I'm sorry to learn that some of you are going through a bad time.

We've had a lot more snow than usual here this year. We've about 14" on the ground now with a couple of more predicted overnight. I love snow but the skies have been gray for too long! I'm SO ready for spring!

I'll check back in a few days,
    Pat

Hi everyone....so good to see this post and all the responses.

Vic-An April Fools swap sounds like great fun.

Tracy-So sorry to hear about your families loss. Losing a loved one around holidays is difficult.

Margaret-Praying for your DH's complete recovery. We worry so when health issues arise so praying for you also.

If you would please pray for a dear friend of mines little granddaughter. She is 2 years old and took very ill 2 weeks ago. Her symptoms stumped the doctors and hospitals. She was rushed to our Franklin Hospital, then on to Asheville Hospital and then to a hospital in Winston Salem. 6 specialists worked mightily trying to figure out what was wrong with her. They finally diagnosed her as having kawasaki disease. This disease usually happens in Asian children so they don't know how she got it. She started getting better the minute they treated her correctly. The sad thing is her heart was severely damaged so they put her on a donor list. God is good so I pray her heart will be healed and she will not need the transplant.
