Bump is a boy, born in July of '07, a Maine Coon mix, and extremely soft! LOL! He is the feline half of me. Stella is a Maine Coon, very vocal, just two months old, and wants to know everything but the rules! I'm glad you all enjoyed their pictures! I don't know what kind of gardener Stella will turn out to be, but I do know that Bump likes to investigate every box, every plant, every seed packet that comes into the house! One of these days, I'll have to let him plan out part of the garden! LOL! Wouldn't that just be the "cat's meow"?

Hello Dan; what fun you will have for the next twenty years with Stella. Enjoy. diene

Awe, I love Maine Coons. I have a 15 year old MC mix female that weighs a little over 8 pounds. Her name is "Brat-Kat". How much does Bump weigh?

Bump and I just returned from the vet, where he got a clean bill of health, along with a number of shots. He was checked for the FIV and FLV viruses because he was exposed to both of them by Jason, the cat I had to put down last fall. Jason had contracted both viruses, unknown to me, before I adopted him, and I was fortunate enough to be able to provide him with a safe, stable home his last 15 months. Bump was weighed today, and so far he is up to 11.46 pounds, and still growing. Maine Coons can take up to 4 years to reach their full size. When I look at smaller cats, they look like kittens to me, even though they're 4-8 years old! If you've never had a Maine Coon, I'd heartily suggest opening your heart and home up to one or two of them. You won't regret it!

Hey Dan, Bump and Stella are just adorable! I love cats, have one of my own I rescued from the animal shelter a year ago. Smokey is about 2 years old, short hair gray tabby. He also loves to have his tummy rubbed. I will come home and there he is at the front door waiting... he plops on the floor starts meowing and rolls over so I can rub his tummy. He is a kick! So soft and sweet, loves to lay on the table next to my keyboard while I'm on the computer. Cracks me up because he will stretch and move the screen out of his way. Silly kitties. : ) Cindy
