| I can tell you this: It is pretty, not everyone has it, it is a myth from what I have read that you can't grow it from seeds. What I read it starts readily from seed. It likes warm weather. It grows from a tuber. There is a farm you can get it from, and it would go nicely in one of the gardens I plan on making this year! :) Fran |

| Lungwort? |
|
| Fran-Most times a plant will be propagated by tissue culture or cuttings because it doesn't breed true from seed. That doesn't mean it's sterile. Unless the plant doesn't set seed. I'm going to guess Night Blooming Jasmine. |
|
| OOPs forget Night Blooming Jasmine. It get's much taller than 36" plus it doesn't grow from a tuber. |

I think not having caffine for 9 months did something major.....HEHEHE take 5 deep breaths and say, this will be ok, it is just a game 3x and breath again and all will be just fine again, oh and go get some coffee....LOL Mariann, I have heard that this one you can't grow from seeds BUT it is a native to a warm climate. I am thinking it isn't sterile, because it is a native BUT I guess those can be too huh? I don't know, I had read somewhere it could start from seeds then Kym assured me it can't which since it was introduce some years ago this has been the story. It can not produce from seed. No one is right still :) Fran |

LOL I'm hoping hubby will take the hint and get me some for Valentine's day. How hard does a girl have to beg, anyhow?? :O) How about JACK IN THE PULPIT? That's the only flower I can think of that grows wild here (there is TONS of it at my grandma's!) and that has one color and kinda stinks. LOL |

| I give up! It's the tuber part that has me stumped. My aunt passed away last night. She was my mom's sister. Her daughter and I were born a few months apart and we are still close. The sad part was that I was asked to notify my remaining aunt and uncle. Out of 8 children, my grandparents had, only 2 are still living. We all use to get together frequently. I had lunch with my aunt and her daughter (my cousin) a week before Christmas. I'm so glad I was able to see her not that long ago. My aunt gave me a hand carved wooden trencher that my grandmother had on her dining room table. My grandmother use to fill it with fruit at Thanksgiving. She said she waited a long time to give that to me and that it was always meant to be mine. That is my last memory of her and was very special. |
|
| I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Mariann. How special that you were able to have that time with her! I'm always grateful for such special memories. Don't stress Bunny! I wish I could bring you some chocolate myself! Fran, I hope you are feeling better. I'm excited to get back in the game next month with the cupid swap. I hope our members will have time to come and chat more then. These "off" months may be needed but I sure do miss the action. Hi Kym! Are you feeling better? I hope you have all of the meds straight. Where's everyone else? Vic, Diene, Deb - I hope that you all are doing well and staying warm. Things are beginning to slow down just a little around here. My SIL seems to be doing better - One day at a time. Is the flower a gladiola? Have a great week! Nik |

| Bunny the plant isnt native to this area... Marianne, very sorry for your loss, and I am so thankful that you have such a wonderful memory to hold onto..I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers..and I truly hope it will be a celebration of her life !! Nikki, thanks, they took me off the meds, and the dr today didnt seem to want me to let them try anymore. I go see some of the specialist next week. But I do feel better then I did on that med, WOW ... Nik, how is school going ? My kids are in the middle of mid terms, sometimes I think they make things Like this, just so the parents have something to do..LOL We have been doing a lot of studying here. Fran, How is the winter sowing going ? I am still at 30 containers,I spent the morning with my daughter at the dr..and then I had to go in the afternoon... I hope all is well with everyone ...can ya beleive it was flurrying AGAIN..UGHHHHHHHHHHH, I am soo looking forward to seeing the grass again, yes, the grass..I miss the sea of green in my front yard..and I am worried about the poor bunnies, the snow is SOOO deep, must be atleast a foot deep in a normal spot.and higher where is has been plowed or shoveled. OH Mother Nature, if you are listening, we SURE could use some of the Heat Miser at the moment !!!! TTYS, Kym |

| Mariann, I am sorry you lost you aunt, it is so nice that you do have that special last memory. How nice she gifted you something of this nature to hold onto. It is not an easy task to inform family of the passing of other family. You are in my heart and my prayers. Hugs Sweet lady. OK, I am gonna ask you to pick someone you would like to send a Valentine too. I can not be picked. Nor can Marie we have already been picked. EMAIL ME WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEND A VALENTINE TOO if I don't hear from you with in the next 2 days I will pick for you. IF you do email me and the person you pick has already been picked I will tell you to pick again and let you know who is still left. Bunny, just breath. I was gonna tell you it is not native in the USA but Kym beat me to it, although it will grow here in the warmer months and survive outside in warmer areas over winter. :) Fran |

Nikki, is also busy, understandably as well. I hope everyone else checks in, need to find out who they wish to send too. :) Fran

| Thank You all for your kind words. My cousin called me last night. She thanked me for making those calls and told me there will be a Memorial Service in Feb. or March. She asked me to make calls for the Service also. I don't mind taking some of the stress from her. I remember how difficult it was when my mom passed away. Kym-What are you taking meds for? I must have missed something. Hope you are feeling better. Nik-Glad your SIL is doing better. Bunny-Lili is sooooo beautiful! I'd love to hold her. Haven't held a baby in years. Fran-Can we send seeds that have precious gem names? Like Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, etc.? Lots of women get proposed to on Valentine's Day. |
|
- Posted by ncgardengirl 7b 8a NC (My Page) on Wed, Jan 21, 09 at 14:12
| Mariann, I can assure you your Valentine will be thrilled with ANYTHING you gift her. EVERYONE has been picked now so start thinking about what you are gonna send. Start making your cards. REMEMBER your card can be SIMPLE and nothing fancy OR as fancy as you want to make it...this is for FUN... OK, no more guesses? No more questions? There is STILL room for one more question. :) Fran |
|
| Mariann: I also went off the reservation and used words like "beauty" and "passion". I think the idea is to be creative and attach it to the holiday. Am I right on that? BTW: Lili is SO adorable! I have baby envy! Isn't it strange how hard it is when they are that age and yet how much you miss it? |

| We didn't get around to filing the birth certificate, yet. We're procrastinating. LOL Actually, she was so sick the last 2 weeks, and then it got COLD, PLUS the court house has no parking lot right now (the parking deck is closed because the top level fell through) so parking is a nightmare. UGH We just said "well, we've got a year......" LOL Anyhoooooooo......Mama Fran~ I gave up on the plant ID. I just have NO clue, and I feel so silly everytime I throw a guess out there, and it's completely off base. LOL I haven't quite started on my valentine yet. I'm getting there, I've got a plan...just not supplies. :O) |

Games are supposed to be fun, I guess there are not enough of us to play, so I won't post anymore unless I can offer a prize to go along with it. I was trying to make this a fun group but there is not enough of us I guess to do that with. So I will just say, post when you can. I appreciate it, I know you are signed up in other groups and there is a lot more chatter there. So just do what you can to let me know you are STILL in this one. | I'm trying to get on here as much as possible, Fran! :O) You're right, time just gets away from me lately. UGH. I hate that! I've been trying to post in all the threads that I need to, but sometimes I miss one (or 2!). I hate feeling so scatterbrained! Oh, ya know what else? This morning I realized that I DON'T HAVE A DIAPER BAG!! LOL!! And yesterday (now THIS one gets me!) I went to give Lili a bath, and DIDN'T HAVE BABY WASH OR A BATHTUB!!! HA! Yeah, that really bugs me, because I am usually the most organized person in my house....I HATE not having my ducks in a row, I ALWAYS go shopping for birthdays and Christmas months in advance, I ALWAYS have a schedule & make plans weeks ahead of time and I HATE HATE HATE being late, and never was until THIS MONTH. But my question is.....WHY did it take kid #6 to drive me to this point?? LOL |
|
- Posted by ncgardengirl 7b 8a NC (My Page) on Thu, Jan 22, 09 at 18:45
| Bunny asked: WHY did it take kid #6 to drive me to this point?? Answer to this question IS: Because now you too are getting older and as you age your mind goes with it....sorry fact of life...HAHAHA I wish I would have know you didn't have a diaper bag I would have sent yah one for Christmas!!! Yeah, I know everybody is busy...I had just hoped this group would have been as chatty as the other ones... :) Fran |
|
| I think I know what it is. Is it chocolate cosmos? I know it doesn't make seed, in NC Zone 7 is a tender perennial, it grows from a tuber and is supposed to smell like chocolate. I soooooo want one this coming spring, maybe if I'm good I'll get it for Valentines day :) Monica |
|
| Wow Monica, I don't know if you are right, but that sure is a great guess! Bunny, No diaper bag? No bathtub? You would think you might still have one in the attic from the other 5? Hehe That is about the cutest baby - she seems like a sweetie! Fran, I'm around. My SIL is showing improvement. School is going fine both work and personal. My students are so great this year! I look at them and just can't believe how much they have learned this year. January is so much fun in the classroom. The kids already know the rhoutines and they come in so excited about learning new things. I definately love my job! My personal school is going fine, too. I made an A last semester - Yahoo! Three down, about 5 to go (about a year and a half). |

| YESSSSS Monica YOU ARE RIGHT...THANK GOODNESS...lol THANKS!!! I read somewhere it does make seeds then I read somewhere else it doesn't and every since it was introduce in the US they have said it does not set seed....so I guess that makes it a NO. YEAHHHHH, I am SOOOO glad someone finally got it right...lol. Nik, I wondered about that too. I thought she might still have stuff from the other last born, I kept my stuff my sister did too. My mom kept stuff to just incase...lol :) Fran |

| Ya know....I kept thinking about chocolate cosmos, but I didn't think they were THAT new. That's what was throwing me off, the "new" part! LOL Wow, THAT was a difficult game, Fran! Can we have something easier next time? Like "Name that big purple dinosaur show that drives every parent nuts but the kids love & has an annoying theme song that gets stuck in your head, and makes kissing your hubby impossible because all you can see is a big fat ugly dinosaur telling you how much he loves you." :O) Nikki & Fran~ You'd *think* so, huh? But after having Aubeni (#4), we cleaned house, because she was supposed to be the last one. So we started from scratch for Adora, and WOULDN'T YA KNOW IT, thought the same thing with her.... we gave away EVERYTHING. Even down to the baby finger nail clippers! My house was *finally* baby free! LOL So yep, we're starting over, and it's like having a baby for the first time. My big brother went to the DR yesterday, he'd been sick for a few weeks. Turns out, it's pneumonia. He *thought* it was sinus stuff. UGH Makes me nervous, because I've been fighting the sinus stuff for 2 weeks now, with body aches and everything. I felt OK yesterday & actually got some housework done. But today, it feels like I've been run over by a truck. I never knew I could be so worn out. ANYWAY....I think I'll go to the DR next week, if it hasn't improved any. Taking vitamins & stuff like crazy in the meantime, though. :O) Good job on the school, Nik!! Yay! :O) I hope the rest of the year goes well for you, too! |

| First Nikki, I didn't give the WHOLE wrong address JUST the city, thank you missy! It is not MY fault I don't know where I am LOL...But really I have lived in that town really pretty much ALL my life, I haven't lived here too long maybe in another 2-5 years I will remember where I live...LOL, gosh hope I don't move again, I really WILL be confused...lol. BTW, thanks for letting everyone over here know about that...lol, such good friends I have made all over GW, lol. And about the Cupid Swap it was voted to keep it a secret. SO NO TELLING WHO YOU ARE SENDING TOO OR WHO YOU RECEIVED FROM (VIC! HEHEHE,,,,I am sorry, I couldn't help it, I am having a wicked moment...lol.) Geeze Mariann, I hope you don't need power steering pump! If it is leaking though you know something is wrong with it...thank goodness my SO can work on our junk! Car, lawnmowers, washer, stove anything else really if it is a have too. Yeah, I keep him around for upkeep...lol. How was everyone's weekend? I got a few more things put in jugs, man I wish he would get my cold frames made! :) Fran |
|
| Hey Fran!! I may forget the rules, but at least I KNOW where I live!! ROFLOL Thanks SOOOO much for sharing that with us Nik, I needed a good laugh tonight! LOL Vic |

| ROFL! We can tease Mama Fran all we want, because we KNOW she'd do the same for us!! :O) Well, at least you had a "send to" address on there, right?? So you haven't gone postal the bunny way yet. LOL! I just wanted to let everyone know that the weatherman (such as he is, LOL!) is calling for an INCH of ice tonight & tomorrow, with some snow on top, just for effect....so if that REALLY HONESTLY AND TRULY happens, we won't have electricity, and will be stranded without hope of getting out for quite awhile. And if this old roof actually HOLDS that much ice without caving in, it'll be a complete miracle. Meanwhile, the kiddos are getting their roller skates ready for some ice-skating action. (I don't exactly trust them with ICE skates, and they think the rollers will be much more fun, ANYWAY...) So we may just have to skate across the county to the ER later as well. |

| Hi, Taking a well needed break for a few minutes! More snow is expected today, tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully, not that much- only a few inches. It's still so cold and chilly outside! I just filled up the bird feeders again, and somethings getting into them. I'm not sure if it's a squirrel? Seed is spilled everywhere by morning, and empty! And I see little footprints in the snow! I'm going to walmart today and see what type of feeders they have. Mine are a few years old, so really do need to be replaced. Everythings going really well, I'm still waiting for the weather to get better before I have the LAST estate sale. I was planning on having it a few weeks ago, but couldn't. We had a blizzard that weekend. The weather should be getting better in March. February's weather usually is worse than January! With this extra time I've managed to de-clutter my house and bring EVERYTHING over there! My only concern is what on earth would I do with all the stuff if it doesn't sell? Does anyone know of a charity that takes entire house contents? I sold all the furniture at the last estate sale, what's left is household appliances, glasses, nick-nacks, etc. Plus all my clutter! I can't wait to landscape my Mom's house, I'm looking so forward to fixing it up! She has just basic landscape, and needs LOTS of colorful flowers, hostas, lavender, Salvias to complete the look I'm going after. I love color! I'm going to start most of the flowers now (in pots). The hosta, lavender, salvia, I'll probably pick up at a local nursery in the spring. They need to be established, hardy plants or they look too skimpy in landscape. Can't you tell I'm just dreaming of nicer weather? ;) Better go, I have a ton of things to do today! Talk later! |

| Wow Marie, she has talent! You can keep your snow, I don't want any! Really, you just keep it all up there. Deb, I hope you can get everything sold. You could always try to ebay...lol. Yes, there are places that will take whole household stuff and will even come and pick it up! Just call around. Good luck with the sale. Hoping it goes well. Bunny, that would be me the life of the party lol. Glad ya'll are getting a kick out of my blunder. Yes, I had a return and a send to address on the label lol. Both were wrong HAHAHA. OK, well I am freezing and need to go figure out what I am gonna do for supper....yeah I get such a thrill cooking, NOT!!! I HATE COOKING....used to love it, but not anymore sandwiches sounds good to me. Alas we are out of bread...lol. OH well, guess I better go get something done. :) Fran |

| Hello Lovely Ladies, Yeap I am BACK up, went to bed early woke up a few hours later!!! Thought I would come check on a few things and post again here just cuz I can! I am actually getting sleepy again, thank goodness, maybe I can stay asleep this time until it is time to get up. The SO has to have surgery in the morning to fix his nose. It is almost closed shut, the doc said it was like 90-95% shut. He broke it when he was younger and the septum grew back wrong. The doc said he kept growing instead of stopping like it should have. It is closed on both sides not one or the other. It has gotten really bad over the last few years and I told him I could tell it was worse just by the way he would breath, he had started breathing out his mouth constantly the last time he went to his doctor for that wonderful viral thing everyone was getting I made him tell her he couldn't breath well anymore so she sent him to a ENT doc who comfirm it was deviation septum. It will take about 4 hours from start to finish, he is gonna be so ill. They told him it will be stopped up for a least a week after the procedure sounds kind of painful and I am sure if it is I will hear about it until it is, you know since it is all my doings it is getting fixed....MEN are such babies, if he does I am gonna remind him how good it will feel to be able to breathe again!!! What's a little pain compared to that? Ok, well maybe it will not be such little pain but hey, he will have drugs for that. LOL... So anyway, that is how I will be spending most of the am in a few more hours, I am so looking forward to sitting there waiting, NOT! To bad I don't have a laptop to take with me...Ya'll know I am gonna have withdrawal symptoms until I can get back home a check on everything, hehe. Ya'll be thinking about me biting my nails waiting for them to tell us we can come home, hehe...hopefully I will not be curled up in the corner rocking back on forth blubbering something unrecognizable that resembles something to the effect of gotta check GW,,,over and over! OK, off to go back to bed, lol, :) Fran |

| Well it went well today, good thing it was done NOW it the surgeon said it was worse then we thought and it was one of the worse he had ever seen and there was a crushed bone in it that had to be removed. All is well and I hope I can actually sleep tonight. :) Fran |
|
| Fran, glad to hear everything went well! And I'm sure you will be paying for it till he feels better, You know men like for us to suffer with them! LOL Marie, I hear ya on winter coming back! Just how is it that it can go from 66 to minus 10! It just isn't fair to be teased like that! Deb, nice to hear from you! I hope you sell everything at your next sale, but if you don't, and don't have a local charity that you know of, try craigslist.org or freecycle.org You can offer stuff up for free on those sites and it will be gone fast! Good luck, and I hope things settle down soon! Melissa, I hope you don't get all that ice! And if you do, I hope everthing is ok. How is everyone else doing? Vic |

| Posting for Melissa, she called to say they have no power. The ice storm that come through downed power lines in their yard. She says they have hugh 100 year old trees down all over their yard and one fell on their truck. She said it is devasting how extensive the damage is and it is going to be a min. of 2 weeks before she will have power restored, and that they have not even been able to go outside at the moment to access the damage to the house and the yard as of yet, they have had to stay inside because it was so bad outside. She called from her cell phone and she told me she was worried about it too because she has no way to plug it in a the moment, she hopes to be able to get out so maybe she can find a place to recharge it. Their neighbor place is just as bad and she said her mom had a tree through their livingroom. She said she heard the grocery stores are out of food at the moment because so many are without power and doesn't know how bad the destruction is in town nor does she know how bad the route into town is but they are going to have to try to make a trip into town for some needed items. So please keep her, her family, her town and all others who are in the path of this storm in mind. Pray for their safety and well being until all is righted again. I hope she finds a place to charge her phone, she needs it now more then ever. We only talked long enough for her to ask me to post this for her and to tell me about the desrtuction, it was a really fast conversation because we didn't want to run the phone down. Melissa, I am sorry you have having to go through all of this. I do hope it all gets better soon for you, your family, your mom, neighbors and I hope the town is not bad. :) Fran |
|
| Fran, I'm praying for Melissa! I am so sorry to hear that your SO had to have the surgery but I'm glad it went well. I'm sure you are quite busy taking care of him while hosting etc. You take some time for yourself! Can't have you getting sick or run down! Marie, That pic from your daughter is awesome! Her talent seems boundless! Hope everyone is staying warm and healthy. Nik |

Posed, to he a little warmer today, am hoping I can get some leeks plants...and some other rooty things need to go get started on that.... | Howdee Everybody, Just thought I would check to see what everyone was up too. I tried to contact Melissa today but didn't expect to get through, and I didn't. I hope everything goes well down there and they are not without power long. I really wish they had somewhere they could go... Well, I have checked the threads and nothing at the moment needs my assistance so I guess I will be on my way...lol. Night all, :) Fran |
|
| Marie-Your daughter is very talented. Fran-How is your SO doing after his surgery? Melissa-Prayers out to you and your family. We did get the storm that came through. Although we were luckier than most. Just a few inches of snow and then freezing rain. Everything is a sheet of ice here thankfully the roads are clear and we didn't lose power. I really am tired of this cold weather though. Doesn't get above 20 at night usually in the teens or lower. We are suppose to have 3 days in the 40's starting Sunday. |

| Ahh, Mariann, is that how you feel? HEHE Yeap, I can bet all this cold has a lot of ppl a little green. SO is doing ok, but refused to take any pain meds at all, but his nose is really tender and sore, the good thing is though he can tell already it is opened up he has to use a saline solution to help keep it moisturized and he said he could feel it go in places that he hasn't felt it before...;) HE can breath now that is the main thing. Our weather is going to get colder too, yuck. When is spring again? :) Fran |
|
| Marie, That is another gorgeous quilt! I've been waiting for a new quilt pic! I have to say that tree is unbelievable - you need that one framed! Fran, Glad to hear SO is feeling better. I've heard stories of how the surgery really changed lives - being able to breathe, not realizing how bad it really was until they breathed "normally" again. I've been praying for Bunny. I just can't imagine being stuck like that in the cold with a newborn... I'm also praying for Kym to get some much needed rest and time for herself. She's been a very busy bee lately. Kym, still praying, hon! Mariann, How are you? and Vic, How are things going for you? Deb, I know you are going to have a great time landscaping your mom's house. Don't forget to take a seed or cutting from something she already had there. It will be really special. I've been thinking about the house I grew up in lately. My dad planted an oak tree there when he was a teen and it is now huge. There were fruit trees - plums, peaches, figs, and more... pecan trees, blackberries, strawberries, big ole gardens with banana peppers and veggies that we would eat right off the vine. Special times, I wonder what the new owners would say if I paid them a visit and stole some seeds... I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm itchin to sow some seeds... Nik |
|
| Hey everyone! Happy Friday!!! Yes, I am hoping things get better for Melissa too! That has got to be horrible with a newborn and 5 other kids! Marie, I just love that quilt (as with all the others!) Fran, it's been 3 weeks!! no butts here! Except for the one behind me that keeps getting bigger! LOL Nik, how is your neck??? Mariann, I hope your ice all melts! And everyone elses ice and snow! I am SOOOOO ready for spring! I wish we had moved south, I am not a winter person at all! Vic |

| Vic I am glad you are doing so well. You can do it, just keep at it...I have been smoke free, well it will be 12 years Mother's Day this year. My kids would come home from school after they had their what smoking does to you lesson and tell me they wanted me to stop, that year they came home laid it on pretty thick with the mommie we love you and don't want you to have black lungs or any of the other stuff and I am telling you they laid it on me...so I promised them I would stop and I did... What ticks me off is NOW my oldest and youngest smoke! Dang brats!!! But I am glad I did, cost to much now!!! I think you should have moved south too...lol. Nice it is here I tell you, mind you we get cold but not all the snow...LOVELY!!! SO how is everyone doing? You all getting your Cupid Swap stuff together? I have all my stuff BUT haven't gotten my card made I did go on line to look up hearts to use for patterns...I have my card all invisioned, wow, I hope it turns out that nice...lol. :) Fran |

| Vic, don't skip eating something though, even if you eat a good breakfast and have a banana and apple for lunch, something you can eat while you walk OR only walk for 1/2 the breaktime and make sure you eat something, IF you don't eat to refuel your body no amount of exercise or deiting will help! DO NOT SKIP meals...I know I had the hardest time with this concept too, but my nutionalist FINALLY got it drilled in my head, eat something within the first hour of getting up, this will prevent your body from going into survival mode, meaning it will not hold onto everything going in your mouthg AFTER this time. Do not skip lunch, eat a snack between breakfast and lunch, and a snack before dinner in the evening! IF you can't do anything else you can always eat something for breakfast and do a slimfast shake for lunch! You can drink that while you are walking BUT would be better AFTER you finish walking! If you need any tips or support and are seriously going to diet. I can be a diet buddy for you too, just email me. Anyway, if you need moral support I am here! :) Fran |
|
| Vic, You are doing GREAT!!!! I can't believe you are going to also go on a diet. You must have great willpower. You go girl, but don't be too hard on yourself. My neck is fine. Fran, My cupid stuff is coming together. I just thought of a whole new direction I want to go in, can't divulge the details but I'm working on a plan... Finally got my dh to help me in the yard yesterday. I really want to get a bunch of beds prepped for my wintersown babies. There is just SO MUCH to do and the budget is tight. I want to do some lasagna beds but I already have some stuff planted. I don't want to "lift" and replant all of those. Not to mention, some are not above ground right now so I wouldn't know where to start. Do I just put everything around those sections? Anyone have any tips for preparing beds? Happy Sunday! Nik |

| Mariann, I have retrieved it from the second page typed a this nice LONG post and my freaking computer froze! I am hoping it is NOT my computer, but it must be, my son said he would come a look at it next chance he gets. He knows I get to mad at it trying to clean it up and figure out what is wrong with it so he rescues me from time to time. Anyway, this is basically what I had typed: Ok, I just wanted to say that is any one wanted to send me a gift card from Walmart for my month I am fine with that. I know some people think gift cards are a cop out BUT I do not see them in this manner, I have read people think the gift card says: Hey, I don't know you well enough to get you anything other then this, I can't think of anything you would want, I don't think your special enough for me to shop for, OR I didn't have time to shop for you. To me it says, I wanted you to REALLY be happy with your gift from me so I want you to pick out something you would REALLY enjoy. OR I would rather you choose your own gift either now or when you know something really speacial you would like to have. I do not see a gift card as a negative thing at all, I am not saying I am expecting anyone to contribute to my camera fund with a gift card. I am just saying I would be totally ok with it. OK then, I was just putting options out there, whatever you decide or chose for me is wonderful. I like pretty much everything :) ANYWHO...all is well and everything will work out somehow... Does everyone have my questionnaire? I think I sent Kym's out at the same time, she is looking over her's to maybe revise it a little if she changes anything I will be sure to resend it to all. Hope everyone is having a great day so far!!! :) Fran |
|
| LOL Fran, is that a "hint" on the gift card! No, I did not get your questionaire, could you send it again please? Oh girls, don't worry about me being too hard on myself with the diet, I had a piece of chocolate cake today at work (someones B-day) what a great start huh! LOL Yes Mariann, there are a lot of active threads on here aren't there? It's pretty busy around here these days! Vic |
|
| Awe Fran, If anyone deserves a camera, its you! I hope you get one soon. I want to see pics of all of your seedlings and flowers this spring! Vic, I've been craving cake. I saw a "cake episode" of ultimate recipe showdown and have wanted some ever since! Mariann, Congratulations on your weight loss. You must have been really dedicated to lose half of your goal so quickly. I really need to lose some before this summer. I hate being embarassed every time I go swimming. In my part of the south, you MUST swim during the summer. I even went so far as to get a pool so I could swim "privately" LOL I'm still working on my partner's box. I hope to get serious and get it out this week. Nik |

| No, not hints I was just saying I am a weirdo and am totally cool with a gift card should someone decide to go that route :) Thanks Nikki, you are too sweet. I hope I can lose a WHOLE lot more come this spring/summer, I am just embarassed all together about my weight in general...I WISH I had someone close by to REALLY go at it like a partner in working out and everything. I am not motivated enough to whole heartedly do it on my own...I need a coach....but I have lost too, Mariann is doing excellent though...so proud of her...WOOT WOOT you go lady! Ok, off to do something else now, maybe even bed...lol :) Fran |

| Well, I have been winter sowing and NOT getting no where near as much as I would like. I need more containers as well... I am still working on my Cupid Box... I hope my Valentine likes what I am sending...I still have to work on my card. I haven't started it yet. I feel like such a slacker! I am already getting packages in for my WOW seed swap, I know a few people are planning on sending in over 200 packs each. Swaps are so much fun and I love hostessing them! We didn't get anyone of the snow that was called for for Tuesday but it has been bitter cold here since Monday...I sure hope it is getting rid of some of the bugs we have in the summers, because that is the only advantage I see to this. So how is it with everyone else? :) Fran |

| Hey, I have started my card...I think it will be very pretty!!! Just thought I would share with you all. Mariann, how are you? Is everything going ok with your docs and appts and all? or went well? Are you feeling alright? How about everyone else??? Going good for all I hope.... Vic how is Zack doing mood wise now? HOW are YOU doing? I hope Melissa and her family are making out ok...so awful knowing the little ones are in all that mess. :) Fran |
|
| Nik-Actually I started my weight loss last April. I've lost 38 lbs. since then. I really believe that losing it slowly is the way to go. Vic-Honestly I wouldn't worry about your weight right now. One goal at a time. You're doing great with the quitting smoking. Fran-I, for one, like gift cards. As a matter of fact I asked my DH for one for Christmas. WalMart has the Visa/Mastercard gift cards that can be used anywhere. I wouldn't mind a gift card or two either. I've lost so much weight that by July I'm going to need new clothes. I'm feeling OK. Just a lot of pain, etc. I was invited to join a Paint Shop Pro learning group. I collect a lot of Tags that others make and I do make a few of my own. Once I'm done with this program I should be able to offer up some unique Tags to everyone here. |

| Hi everyone! Fran, you're not talking to yourself - we're listenin even if we're not posting! Mariann, I can't wait to see your tags. Be sure to share them with us as soon as possible, ok? Vic, How's the diet coming? I'm so proud of you for kicking the other habit. I think that speaks volumes for your willpower! Marie, How did the superbowl go for you? I watched a little of it and while I am football illiterate, it was an exciting game. Deb, How's it going? Kym, How are you feeling? Anybody heard from our Bunny? I can't believe how I miss her:( Don't tell my dh - he thinks I'm crazy - says I don't really "know" people on the internet. He just doesn't "get it". I prepared some beds today. Got some seeds from the wishlist swap, and plan on working on Feb trades tonight. Hope everyone has a happy weekend! Nik |

| Hello All; I spent all weekend doing gardening stuff. I had an envelope of herb seeds sent to me from a gardener from another site and I started planting them. Now I am looking at the seeds I received from my last swap on GW and I hope to get them in dirt tomorrow. Today we went to breakfast and then did the tour of the big box stores, I found a stash of spring bulbs (some a bit worse for the wear) but some worth saving for the price so I came home with 23 bags of bulbs. I spent all afternoon putting them in pots as we still have more than two feet of snow. I hope to have lots of flowers to offer for Easter gifts. I am tired tonight but it feels good. Hope everyone is well. diene |

| Hello All; I did not take many pictures while in Jamaica, just some of the fauna which I will post at some point. My valentine went out today. The DC is downstairs so I will post that later. I ascribe to the theory of saying it with flowers or was it candy? Oh well, who knows. diene |

| Hi Everyone-I received a box from Melissa (HNB) today. She sent me a cute gift bag with a snowman on it. Inside were Tulip Bulbs 'Beauty in Pink' plus a chocolate bar beautifully wrapped. She also included seeds Rudbeckia 'Goldilocks', Hibiscus 'Grenache Pink', Foxglove Apricot, Pink Lupines, Lion's Tail, Hollyhocks and Zinnia 'Red Spider'. Melissa with all you have going on you managed to get a box out to me. What a Sweetheart you are! My DH latched on to the chocolate immediately. He kept bugging me while I was opening the gift bag. He kept saying 'Did she send chocolate'.LOL |
|
| Hello All; Here is my DC, I am not going to tell you who will be receiving this. Time will tell. diene 0103 8555 7496 3556 0167 |

| Mariann HONEY.... I LOVE YOU DEARLY and you KNOW it, BUT you were NOT posed to POST JUST YET WHO you received from....lol OK SO, NOW you know Bunny (bless you heart) sent to Mariann...lol. Yes, I knew she was worried about the box and had sent word to tell me she would be mailing it out...I was amazed she was worried about the swap box too but she was. Thanks Diene for the DC#...will be looking for ANY pics from your vacation :) I have been working on my Wow swap pretty much all day. It is fun to see what comes in though and I am ALWAYS like OH, I WANTED THAT TOO! lol. Anyway, have to go post another swap month I am hosting so off to go get that done before 12:00 midnight... Talk later everyone, hope everyone is well. :) Fran |
|
| Hi Girls! Diene, hope you had a great trip! I was in Jamaica once, I had a lot of fun, but we were only there for one day, not long enough to really take time to enjoy it. Mariann, I'm glad it wasn't me that messed up this time! LOL! I can't believe Melissa got that box out so fast either with everything going on! Here is a post I put on the PP thread yesterday, I don't feel like retyping it all.... *****Zack's daycare called me Wed. he was vomiting so I went and got him. He was sick all day poor little guy, but then Thur. morning he was just fine! BUT, by thurs afternoon, I started feeling bad! This is the worst I've been sick in years! No temp, just the stomach bug and body aches. And it seems that I pulled a muscle in the base of my head from all the vomiting. I had Jamie take me to urgent care on Sat. b/c I couldn't take the headache anymore, it was from the base of my head behind my right ear and all the way around to behind my eye. The Doc gave me muscle relaxers, and told me to take my headache RX and Aleve. I was taking 2 of all of them just to tolerate the headache. Today one of the docs at work said it sounds like my ocular nerve is irritated, and that could be why the muscle relaxer isn't working, he gave me a stronger one and wanted me to try that tonight when I went to bed, of course, I forgot to pick it up at the pharmacy, I was in a hurry to get Zack from daycare so I didn't have to pay an extra hour! Just watch out for that stomach bug! And if someone says they have or have had it, RUN! It is a BAD one! I still have a terrible headache but I did take the stronger muscle relaxer tonight and hope it will help and I can get some sleep (well, at least as much sleep as I usually do) Now I am going to go fill up my hot water bottle and go lay on that and see if that helps : ) Night girls! |

| Vic I am sorry you still are not feeling well, you need to get the stronger script filled if you haven't already. Glad you are not smoking still and don't give up on the diet, it took me many false starts to really get it and although I have slipped some this winter I don't consider it a pitfall and you can't look at it that way either. IF you do end up looking at it from that point of view you will NEVER get over the hurdle, stick to your guns girlfriend. YOU can do it, one step at a time. Missing everyone, wish all would chat more here. :) Fran |
|
| OOOPs...Sorry it completely slipped my mind. I guess I was just so surprised that HNB was able to get mail out. Vic-You poor girl...Hope you and Zack are better. |

It's great to hear from you:) Kym, You are going to have to share those seeds - made them sound so good I'm thinking I might need to add some to my wishlist! Vic, I hate that you have been sick (and Zack too). That stuff is really going around and taking its time about leaving. I hope you feel better soon! Fran, How are you holding up with all those hostess gigs? Your house must have stashes everywhere! Take some time to enjoy it if possible. I'd be a wreck! I can't believe Bunny was able to get that box out. She probably had it ready in advance as usual! We miss you Bunny! Nik |

| Hello All; My box arrived yesterday and it had a beautiful homemade card as well as a great kitchen towel with a valentine motif. And a whole lot of seeds. I received Bright Pink Silene, Hardy light pink hibiscus, Pink Sweet Peas, Galardia Burgundy, Pink and White Dianthus, White cleome, Red four O'Clock, red, pink & white coleus. | Great boxes are going around as usual, we have a great group of gals and I am so glad we can share it each other. diene, you received some nice pink and red goodies! Kym had told me about her seeds already before she posted, she was THRILLED to pieces with them, her Cupid did a fine job! Deb, your box was impressive too. I am shocked that Bunny got her box out too. I knew she would though, she always has it ready and is ALWAYS worried about getting it out! OH btw, not sure if Bunny's mail is running right yet, so she had requested that she be told it is on the way so her hubby could pick it up at the PO because at the moment they are having to pick it up at the PO until it is running normal again. So if you haven't mailed out her package yet if you could email me I will let Kathy know so she can text the message to Bunny to know it might need to be picked up. :) Fran |

| Happy Late Valentines Day to everyone! :O) I wish I could post more, but this will have to be quick, as we're still working on the electric. (boy will I be glad when things get settled down! LOL) Mariann~ I'm glad you received your box. Nik is right, I had it ready to go a week before the storm hit. :O) I was really worried about not fulfilling my obligations to the swap, so I made sure it got out to you. I hope you enjoyed everything. Fran~ Thanks for everything. :O) Hugs, |

| Melissa, You KNOW I was worried about you and the babies. I wish I could have done something to actually help you out but things are rough for us around here at this moment too. Gosh I hope things can settle down for EVERYONE is our group here. At any rate just know I thought about you and the babies pretty much everyday. I could not imagine how hard going through that was during and after too. I know it is still hard and it is going to take a while to get this right again, but you will. The bright side is you now have more room to plant sun lovers and maybe a larger garden? I am glad everyone is safe and the things that were broken are replaceable for the most part. The important thing is you all are safe! I know it was a shame to lose all those trees. I am glad you are able to post again. Again let me say I am glad you and all are safe and no one was hurt. That is the most important. Hope everyone is having a GREAT WEEKEND... :) Fran |
|
| Hi Girls-Melissa it's so great to see you posting. I was so shocked and delighted to get your box that I forgot I wasn't suppose to post your name. We had a power outage during the storm that passed through here on Thursday and Friday. I spent Thursday night at my DD's. We had a lot of fun. I've been so busy lately. Since I joined the PSP workshop/Lesson group my email has been stuffed to overflowing with emails. Everyone sends in their lessons to be reviewed by the instructors. I passed the first class so I thought I'd share a few of my Tags. Tubes are pictures or drawings that have no background. A Tag is a Tube with something written on it. The writing is suppose to look like it is part of the tube so it blends in. My next lessons are very hard. Eventually I'll be designing my own Tubes. |

| Hey Mariann, Would you do me a #3? with ncgardengirl and a Fran one PRETTY PLEASE IF I BEG REALLY MUCH AND ASK NICELY 3 TIMES???? man I WISH I could get invited to do that....I LOVE making those...I used to do it a long time ago, even designed a lot of my own....but the program I used is gone and I can NOT understand PSP...it confuses the dickens out of me! Ok...gotta go cook the rest of supper... |
|
| Hi All! Melissa, so good to hear from you! I'm glad your power is back on! I bet it was ruff with all the little ones, esp. a new baby! I can't believe you were worried about the swap! As if we wouldn't understand! LOL Mariann, those are great! You are doing a fine job! Fran, what do you mean you are busy!?! You're only hosting what 3 swaps! LOL There has been some great boxes! I'm going to go back and see if I can figure out who sent to who, I never can get that! : ) Vic |
|
| Vic - glad your back. How is the little one? hope all are over the nasty's! Mariann - Great job!! but the last one is really sweet. It reminds me of one of my favorite jokes: Q. What did the Snail say when riding on the Turtles back? I need to take classes to learn stuff like that - with no job, now would be the perfect time. It is so dissapointing when I make seed packages and the glue doesn't stick! Then all the tiny seeds fall out getting all over every thing... sorry :) Marie |

| Just wanted to pop in and share some pictures real quick, since it's been awhile! :O) And besides....I haven't gotten to brag on my little flower in several weeks! LOL! Guess what!! She discovered her THUMB!! Isn't that CUTE?? (ok, it won't be when she's older, but for now...let me just say "Awwwww!!!" LOL!) I suppose we'll have to break her of that habit like we did with my second oldest....He sucked his thumb until he was 4, and we tried everything (NOTHING worked, not even the hot pepper oil!!). But he started playing his brother's gameboy and he couldn't do that AND suck his thumb! So we just let him play all day, for about a week....and after that, he didn't suck his thumb anymore. (I can just hear the child experts groaning about the non-stop game playing! LOL) Marie~ How are things going for you?? I've been thinking about you alot lately....how is the job search going? Vic~ How are YOU? Mariann & Fran~ Wow, you girls sound BUSY!! :O) Are things OK in your neck of the woods? And Kym? Diene? What have ya'll been up to? Everything OK? |

| Mama Fran, if I lived close enough to ya, I'd cook for ya every night! I LOVE cooking! :O) I just don't get time to do the elaborate things anymore...can't imagine why!! LOL That's what I missed most about not having electric (ok...that AND hot water. WOW, I missed my showers!!) ANYWAY, I'm just glad I can cook again. My second oldest turns 10 next week, and he wants his DEATH BY PEANUT BUTTER & CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE PIE. (and trust me on this...it IS death by PB. It's LOADED with PB. Just the smell of it turns me off pb and chocolate for weeks... Fabulous diet tool, I tell ya...) Sooooo....I've got to hit grandma up for some PB, since we ate all ours over the last few weeks...LOL...and scratch him together a pie. Me....I'm gonna skip the PB pie (don't want to even LOOK at pb for many, MANY days....) and maybe naw on a carrot stick. Mmmmmm, boy! :O) |
|
- Posted by ncgardengirl 7b 8a NC (My Page) on Tue, Feb 17, 09 at 13:05
| There you go Bunny, I bet all the PB was a turn off. I hardly ever eat it anymore although I like it..it is just not something I want anymore and IF I HAD to be forced to eat it for days on end I will prolly lose a lot more weight because I just couldn't stomach it! I am currently caught up on the WOW Swap, thank goodness. I had 11 envies to do and those contained over 1500 seeds in them, I can't post an exact # because we MIGHT have a counts contest there, not sure just yet. OK, well I hope all is well and everyone is doing super good! Nikki honey, what is going on with you? You must be really really busy. :) Fran |
|
| Hi my Fran! I'm here - just wrapping up some odds and ends and getting ready for a test tonight. I had a rough week last week. My former pastor of 26 years passed away. It was like attending a great big family reunion - seeing all the folks I grew up with from all the years in the church. When my father passed away, I was young, and this pastor was truly like a father to me. Rough week! I'm off this week so I'm trying to play catch up on some packages I needed to send this month as well as some wintersowing. I really can't wait to see all the new plants this year since I've never WS before. Has anyone started WS annuals. I'm aching to get those going since I know they'll bloom for me quicker! Bunny, I have so missed seeing you! I've enjoyed seeing the outpouring of love from our gw friends. It is quite humbling! Those pics are adorable. Neither of mine would take anything but me (nursing is an amazing calmer - lol) Marie, I can't believe how precious a job is these days. I am so grateful to have a job that I enjoy. I know you can't wait to spring! Vic, Good luck guessing who sent. This one's got me stumped! Marianne, You are doing a great job with that class. Hey, what do you do with a tag and/or a tube? Deb, you are going to have to share some pics of the makeovers on your mom's house. Did you take some before and after? Kym, How's the wintersowing going? You are so lucky to have a WS budy. Diene, How's your finger? What are you up to lately? I'm off to get more studying done. Yall have a great week! Nik |
|
| Fran-I can do #3 for you. Unfortunately I didn't write down which font I used. Darn!!! So, they may look a little different. Melissa-That little girl just keeps getting cuter and cuter. Give her a hug for me. Marie-The PSP group I'm in is on Yahoo Groups. But the owner has her own web site. So I never saw the group on yahoo. If I can find the link I'll let you know. She also has Paint Shop Pro 9 that you can download. The first group of lessons are fairly easy. I'm working on the first lesson in the next group. I had to get some help from one of the tutors. I'm hoping to finish it up by tomorrow. Nik-I'm sorry to hear about your Pastor. Sending hugs. I didn't under stand your question "Hey, what do you do with a tag and/or a tube?" I started Physical Therapy today. I'm starting out 2 days a week. One day in the pool and one in the department. My therapist is great! She knows exactly what I need. Have a good evening girls, |

| Hey! We all get to spoil Mama Fran in a few weeks!! YAY!! I have REALLY been looking forward to getting this swap started, I mean..."REALLY REALLY" started! LOL! I love the thought of knowing who I'm sending to each month, before hand...so that I can start putting together a box JUST for that person. I love the other swaps, too...but I really enjoy the "I have a month or more to shop & I know JUST who I'm buying for!" thing in this swap. :O) And since I won't get to participate in other swaps for awhile, I WANT TO START THIS ONE!!! lol So, first up we spoil Fran & then it's Kym, right? Mama Fran, do you mind posting the line up again, so I can write everything down? (I should've already done that, huh??) I've been putting together boxes for You & Kym since December, but I'd like to get a start on the other gal's boxes, too. There has been so much going on lately, none of it good (OBVIOUSLY!! lol) and I am really looking forward to spoiling Mama Fran a bit. :O) I love that part of swapping! *ramble ramble* Mariann~ I hope the PT goes well & helps out! Sending hugs out to EVERYONE, I know there are more than a few ladies that could use them today! :O) |

| Hi, My package for this month is going out today. I won't post the DC# here, or everyone would figure out who I'm sending to, LOL. I'm usually good for doing that! Mariann, Melissa, I have a million things to do today, and don't know where to start! I've been bouncing in between houses and it's getting rough. There isn't enough time in the day to get everything done! Better make this short and get back to work! Hi Nik! I'll post more later! "HI" to everyone else! Hugs, |

I can only imagine I scared they were. I went through Hurricane Hugo when I was 21, IT freaked me out to the point high winds still give the the heebie jeebies! | WOOOOHOO, I want to thank my CUPID....THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH!!! I received: For the outside: NOW the seeds: Hand Packed packets: I can not thank you enough for all these fabulous seeds and gifts. ALMOST everyone of these seeds I have picked up at a seed rack and put back telling myself I did not need them, with the exception of the English Daisy, I couldn't resist those, and after I planted them I wished I had gotten 2 packs and was unpset because they had sold out everywhere by the time I went back to look for some more. ______________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________ RECEIVED: OK, when you folks receive let me know and then I guess I will go ahead and post March. :) FRAN

|
| OK what's happening here? Our page has extended it's width. I have to keep sliding back and forth to read.LOL My PSP classes are going well. It's become a little more difficult. I've availed myself of my tutor. She's great and so knowledgeable. I won't be just making tags. I'll be making tubes, animations and all kinds of graphics. Now I'm working on framing. Fran-Your Birthday is coming around quickly. Looking forward to sending your presents. How did you end up doing 3 swaps this month??? You are going to be really busy. Those are wonderful gifts you received from your Cupid. I'm like you and wishing for spring. Yes, it makes time fly by. I've been trying to keep busy during the winter though and make every minute count. You have mail! Deb-How is everything going with you? I see you are still rushing around trying to get everything done. Marie-I'm so sorry you lost your job. I'll look for the Yahoo Group that my PSP group is in and send the link to you and Fran. It's a lot of work and time consuming. But worth every minute. Melissa-Hope things are returning to normal for you. Hugs to everyone |

| Hi Bunny, so good to see you posting a little more:) How are things? I'd love to see more pics of your progress. Thank goodness the daylilies aren't up yet, right? Mariann, Sorry about my dumb question about the tags and tubes. I'm really illiterate when it comes to graphics. Notice, I only post in regular old black. About the only thing I know how to add is a pic from photobucket... Oooh Fran, you received your box. Did you have a chance to enjoy it among all those other envys and boxes coming in from the wow swap? I'd love to come help you if you were closer.... Diene, I know what you mean about rushing life. First we rush through the week, for me I wish myself through a school year, and don't we all wait for spring? I'm learning to slow down and enjoy things more. I have one child already away in college and I don't want to turn around and have the other one gone too. Events of late have really caused me to want to enjoy each day for the itself. It's amazing how wintersowing has helped! Deb, Take pics!!! Vic, I hope the bug has cleared itself from your family. Let us know how you are doing. Marie, What fun things are you into these days? Thanks, everyone, for the hugs in losing my pastor. I really appreciate it!!! Nik |

Bunny, so glad to see you back with us, and I hope life gets closer to normal soon. Id love to see more pics of the baby ! She is too adorable ! Is anyone outside working in the gardens yet ? Our ground and pond is still frozen here, BUT I am happy to say that the bulbs are all poking up out of the ground, so spring cant be far away ! He will be in college before I know it! Deb, have you caught your breath yet? I'm glad things are getting easier on you as far as cleaning out your Mom's house, I hope it is almost over, I'm sure it has been a long road! Marie, I hear ya on the job search! Don't give up, it will happen! I know when I talk to ppl around here they seemed to think Montana was not going to feel the effects of the economy, but it is here, not as bad as other places and I hope it doesn't get that way. Kym, good to hear from you! How are things going? Gotta go, we've got some running around to do today! Vic |

| Just moving us back up :) Fran |

| Hi ladies, Vik, ya they said that Wyoming wouldn't be affected by all the crap either. Maybe Washington doesn't know what they are talking about, huh? LOL I am applying for a job this afternoon - keeping my fingers crossed! Not my ideal postion but hey, it is a job :) My life was turned upside down in the past 2 weeks - my cousin had a heart attack, my sister had heart surgery, my Aunt passed away and my husband & I separated. Between visiting 2 separate hospitals - 200 miles between them, attending services for my Aunt out of state, finding a house to rent and all that is involved with that - I am not getting anything done! I made a list of all the stuff that needs to be done by Friday and it's the length of a football field! but I believe it is do-able, now I just need to keep repeating that to myself :) I found a house in the country although, the yard is a disaster area! There are some real nice big tree's for shade and that's about it. Hey, if any of you have nothing to do - I need help with painting, replacing dry wall, plumbing and CLEANING!! - it amazes me how much damage people do to the homes they live in when they don't own them and the PILES of JUNK they leave behind... They took out the goose neck under the bathroom sink, poked holes in the ceiling down stair's bedrooms, trash the refridge and left the water for the laundry on, in the mud room... WHY??? The owners are calving right now and are going to give me a break on the first month rent to fix things myself, YIPPY! Good things: I get new furniture - some new-new and some just new to me, we get to paint any colors we want - my daughter wants HOT PINK! Spring Break is the second week of March - I have told her that her friends can come over and paint stripes and poka-dots on 2 of the walls and the 3rd will be a signature wall - she wants to use black. Should be pretty - hot pink and black but I have to tape the strips and make templates for the dots. Well, I better get busy instead of just complaining about all I have to do... |

| Marie, I true am sorry for hell week for you. This is what all this sounds like. Just BREATHE. You will get through it all will be better you will be happier this are gonna change for you! IN A GREAT GOOD POSITIVE WAY! Want me to keep repeating THAT to you? Your daughters room will be pretty and unigue and she will love it! Her and her friends will have a blast painting it! It will all be ok we will all get through all we have going on! One day at a time. HERE IS MY NEW UPDATE: (just copied from another post it was easier) I am happy about being able to plant whatever BUT the yard PRETTY much ALL of it is overgrown and has bramble bushes all over that will have to be cut out those stupid tree bush things can't think of what they are BUT we will be cutting wood and srubs out all summer and MAYBE YEARS to come IF we stay there any lenght of time. It will be a lot of work but no close neighbors and all the other pluses are well worth the move even though there will be a lot of losses too. I have a LOT of stuff that I am not willing to part with and will have to get a building I guess to store it all in. OH well, Marie I am truly sorry life hit you so hard these last few months if there was something I could do to help fix it I would! diene, when I said I would go ahead and post the March month I meant after everyone had posted they had received. I KNEW it was going to be a few more days for those :) not rushing anything BELIEVE ME! Cause that means I will be one more year older! Later everyone, please check in. Boy howdy, I didn't mean to write a book! :) Fran |

| Whew, Mama Fran! Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, yessirree! Well, I will have plenty of daylilies to share here shortly, if you're interested in those. I've got to move mine from the bed they're in, and I'm making a new bed for them. So between the moving, I will be thinning some out to trade. I've got some ear marked for Kathy right now, but I've still got LOTS that aren't spoken for. So if you're interested, just give me a holler. You can have all ya want! :O) Even if they aren't your thing (flower-wise), they make for some QUICK & SUPER EASY color in the yard. Might be just the pick-me-up you need! Well, Girls....let me tell you about the latest "bunny brained" thing I did. Ya'll know we have a woodstove....and this said woodstove is in a recessed chimney/fireplace, right? And this woodstove has a fan & thermostat on the BACK of the dadgum stove. Which means, hello, that to turn the fan ON or re-adjust the temperature, you have to lean OVER the stove. Which is VERY difficult for short people, that should go without saying. Now....I have hair down to my thighs. *sigh* So now, I've only got hair to my back. And that was MY night. |

| Oh, and YES...feel free to laugh. I am, now. Or maybe that's hysterical giggling. Hmmmmmmm..... |

| Marie-You have been going through so much. I really feel for you. Please unburden yourself here we're all there for you. Fran-I didn't know you have to move. I guess I've not been paying attention. Having a lot of land to plant flowers is a big plus! When are you moving? I hope you can bring many of your plants with you. Melissa-Your poor hair. Girl you are lucky! It could have been much worse. Sounds like something I'd do. What's this about your hiney getting cold??? You not wearing any clothes?LOL Except my hair is really short now. It was shoulder length but I got it all cut off last week. Vic-I'm loving PT. I was in the pool last Thursday today I was, what they call, on land. She's giving me many stretching exercises. Trying to stabilize my hips and back. I'm only going 2 times a week now but hope to increase that in a few weeks. I really want to make the most of this because I can't afford to join a gym. Nik-That wasn't a dumb question about tags and tubes. I just wasn't sure what you meant. When I have a few minutes I'll design one for this group. Everyone can email me with the name they want on it. I did that for Petal Pushers but it was a sparkle signature only. |

| Ahh Mariann, your such a sweetie! Not sure I said anything about moving in any group you are in until yesterdays posting. MELISSA...YOU HAD HAIR!!! HOW, tell me prey tell did you FORGET THAT? No laughing at all, Mine WAS down 'bout midway of my back before June/July last year when I got that AWFUL RAGING ear infection. My ear hurt so bad and my hair had gotten and issue at the same time I was crying because of the ear pain and my hair being messed up so I tell the SO to SHAVE it all off just SHAVE IT! I am tired of all this mess. Marie, I hope you get things straighten out. You let us know you are doing ok! Hope everyone else is doing ok. BUNNY girl I will let you know about the plants. We have a LOT of underbrush and weeds and brush that will need to be cleared before I can start truly dreaming about landscaping. The plants I am worried about moving are very very young plantlets I started from seeds last year. I dont think they will move well/ I will see what happenes with them. I just found out today the road I will be living on has no MAIL DELIEVERY! OMG WHAT AM I GONNA DO??? (boohooohooohoooing, whine, whine, whine, whining now) Ok well, Deb, I hope you will take a break soon. diene, how is the RR doing for you? Nikki, you feeling any better hon? Vic, what's going on in your neck of the words? Give us a holler! Kym I KNOW your still busy. :( Fran |

| Just popping in for a minute (I have to clean up this house and I'm rewarding myself with some wintersowing afterwards:) Marie, I am so sorry to hear about your week. I can't imagine going through all of that in such a short period of time. My best advice is to take a break, don't make any big decisions right now, and let your loved ones help you when possible. You are in my prayers! Fran, I am going to email you soon. You have been super busy. Again, if only I were close enough to come help you! Kym, I'm so excited for you to be able to have a vacation in April! I can't wait to hear all about it! Bunny, I can't believe you burnt your hair. That is so... well, it's funny Bunny! I couldn't help but laugh. Maybe you should pamper yourself with a haircut day out and maybe chop some off for the locks of love. That would be fun! Mariann, I think I'm finally figuring out some of the tubes/tags stuff. I can't wait till you make one for us! Your creations are great! Vic, Waving with my good hand:) Just kidding! Deb, How's the weather for you? Have you been having any luck with your mom's stuff? Well, I'm off to finish cleaning. I hope everyone has a great week. Nik |

| Don't feel bad about laughing, Nik....I am laughing now, I am. It was the entire "COGNIZANT" thing that really got me. I mean, honestly. Couldn't he have just spoken English there?? (or at least be sympathetic??) Guess you'd have to know my hubby to really think this is funny. The man comes up with words like that out of the blue. Like I said, I think he's got a "word of the day" calendar on his desk at work. Silly man. Cognizant. Marie~ How are you holding up? I hope things are going well for you. Fran~ Are you going to start another thread for the V-day swap, or just want the rest of us to post on your thread when we receive? Ok, my computer keeps on doing crazy stuff. It's crashed 5 times THIS WEEK ALONE, and all my programs are coming up with weird signs and symbols instead of numbers and letters. (like my checkbook spreadsheet. UGH. Makes paying the bills really confusing. "well, dear...looks like we owe the electric company $ %#*.@@(* this month. LOL) :O) |
