Please read -- esp. Secret Santa Swappers

Hopefully it is okay if I post this information here --

A friend on facebook posted this info and I thought some of the secret santa seed swappers might be interested in recycling some of their Christmas cards this way. The children recycle the card fronts to make new "green" cards.

St. Jude's Ranch

We are accepting used, all-occasion cards from: November 15, 2009 - February 28, 2010 You can mail your donations to:

St. Jude's Ranch for Children Recycled Card Program
100 St. Jude's Street
Boulder City, NV 89005

I think this sounds like a wonderful idea.

Thanks
Crisann

RE: Please read -- esp. Secret Santa Swappers

I was investigating this back after Christmas and read somewhere that this facility was swamped with recycled cards and was not accepting any more at this time due to be overwhelmed with recycled cards. You may want to contact them first.

There are websites for craft ideas. I know I am saving mine and plan to use them as gift tags next year by cutting them in small sqaures or rectangles and folding them. I did some samples and they worked out pretty cute.

I will definitely send them on if they are needed.
