| Hello all! This is the Spring Fling Salad Bowl Swap.
This swap is for all things you would use for salads. Veggies, fruits, and herbs. When I think of salad of course the standards.. lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, etc. There are endless possibilities! I also think of ingredients for other types of salads, broccoli, bell pepper, watermelon, honeydew, etc...
The sign up deadline is March 1st.
Seeds must be sent to me by March 7th.
I will send packages out by March 12th or before.
You may send seeds that are commercial, harvested by you or from trades. They must be clearly labeled with the variety name, how it was gathered and date, and your GW name.
Please include a list of what you sent in so I will not be returning the things you sent in. You can send in a list of some things you might like to receive and I will do my best but can not guarantee anything.
In your package you must include a list of what you are sending, a return label, and ample postage for the return trip. This must be sent in a bubble envelope. I will use the same envelope you sent your seeds in to return to you.
This is my first time hosting a swap, so I am sure I have missed some details. If you have questions please let me know.

| As to seed count. I think a good rule would be to should send the amount of seeds you would like to receive. I would say for medium to large 12-15. And for small seeds 25-50. |

| I'd like to join. Is there a minimum number of packages? Since none of the "Incredible Edible" swaps specifically mention eggplant I googled eggplant salad and came up with quite a few recipes. Looks like just about any edible can be used in some sort of salad. |

| Hi homeblessings! Welcome. There is no minimum of packages just the maximum of 40 or less. You will receive the same number of packets you sent in and perhaps more if there are extras available. When I think of the term "salad" my mind jumps around to a "standard" salad with lettuce, tomato, carrot, etc. But I also think of salads like veggie salad, fruit salad, and salads such as pasta salads salad and so many more.
True, pretty much anything can be used for "salad". And that's what will make this so fun! I agree the eggplant doesn't get a lot of attention and seems to get pushed to the side. So far we have : tl.graham (Tawnee host)

| It is 61 degrees here in Cleveland, just came in from turning over some of the garden plot. My plan is to expand it by another 15 feet x 20.. which will take up the entire back yard except for walking area. Of course, we shall see... big dreams.. big dreams. Nice to work up a sweat outside again! Sure wish it would stay this warm, though I'm afraid the summer will be too hot. My neighbors put their cats out at the end of fall (ugh) and they have taken a liking to pooping in the flower bed that spans the side of the house. Huge deposits!! Any idea how I might deter them and break this habit before I plant?? (besides giving the neighbor a swift kick in the pants) Thanks Susan. I'll be looking for it! Any last minute sign ups?? habitat_gardener Anyone Wintersow? I did for the first time this year.. the weather is being a little freaky, but luckily/not luckily ? I am not seeing anything yet. One day the weather will be almost 60 and the next will be almost 30. Supposed to snow flurry again tomorrow. So I don't know what I should be expecting. Hate to think I wasted all those seeds. Guess i am lucky in that I did not do anywhere close to a hundred+ jugs, just did 28. |

(knock on wood) I have had a lot of fun going through the packages and I've been able to match up some of the wants you have sent. My daughter has been having a ball helping me.
