| Simple enough. I will join for March. Once a few years ago I had a greenhouse chock full of plants I was going to sell at my annual plant sale when a late winter storm knocked out power to the area in the middle of the night. I dragged a kerosene heater into the greenhouse at about 3 am, filled it from a container of fuel and tried to light it. I made at least a dozen attempts and although the wick would ignite and burn for a few seconds, it would go out almost immediately. I was getting very frustrated and envisioning wheelbarrows full of dead and frozen tropicals and annuals when the electricity suddenly came back on. I did not think the electricity would stay on for long so I started examining the heater to see what could be causing the problem. Water in the kerosene, perhaps? I went back to the storage shed and picked up the container to bring it into the light and examine it. It was not kerosene. I had filled the heater with gasoline, which I had then tried to set on fire repeatedly. Lucky? You bet!! |

| Glad you can swap with us poisondartfrog. Wow you sure were lucky the heater didn't explode. Sometimes someone is looking out for us! I guess I should have said I will be swapping, too. I have several "lucky" stories and will be back to share one or two. Jeanne |

| Good heavens, Poisondartfrog! Sometimes we don't realize when we're lucky! Must have been the luck of the Irish with you! Speaking of which, the Dh was born on St Patrick's Day! I'd have to be a troll not to participate! Please count me in! Becky |

| Wow, Poison!! That was beyond luck! Whew! The things that come to mind when I think about being lucky involve my kids. When my oldest daughter was just 2, we were out hiking by the lake. The boys weren't paying attention, and hubby & I were around the corner, behind some trees, trying to catch up. My daughter must've leaned over the water, and she fell right in. It was about 4ft deep, just a small inlet off the lake. She didn't make a noise going in, and actually went under several times, and out further into the lake before she could splash enough for us to hear her. She almost didn't make it, but hubby got her out in time. Hubby almost didn't go that day- it would've been me alone with the kids (we had 5 at the time). Thank GOD he did, because I can't swim!! I don't know how that would have turned out! Another time that comes to mind is when my 2nd daughter was 4 months old. She was in her carseat, I was driving, and she had her bottle- one of the ones with a disposable plastic liner. Somehow, she had gotten a piece of the liner loose & in her mouth. She was choking without making a sound. I don't know why, but I just happened to turn around at that time (her carseat was facing backwards), and saw that she wasn't breathing. I was able to get the plastic out, and she was fine....but if I hadn't looked right then, I"m not sure she would've been. We still had 10 minutes to go before we reached our destination! Anyway....those are my top 2 stories. :) Jeanne~ I'm going to have to pass this month. As simple as this swap is, and as fun as I know it would be, I just can't be sure I can commit to it. |

| Sorry not to have posted for a few days. I have been sick with a bad cold so not much is going on here that I can post about. Melissa, thanks for sharing your stories of luck. What a scare. I, too, have a few things that involved my children and luck, but I thought I would list one that is simple and more recent in my life. My husband was out of town about 2 months ago and although I don't usually do this, I decided to carry my cell phone with me when I got my horse settled in for the night and walked my dog. I got home after doing all that and it was almost totally dark out and I reached in my pocket to remove my cell phone and it wasn't there! This was my first time ever not being able to find my cell phone. There was nothing to do but retrace my steps so I took my dog along - normally she notices everything odd along the way when we walk. First I checked my horse's stall and the areas around the barn, then we walked through the woods, a hay field, along the road, etc. It was quite a long ways I had walked and I was checking things with a flashlight by now because you really could not see the ground without it. Well, my dog walked right by the cell phone, but I found it in some tall grass along the road! What a relief and I have to say it was lucky because in the dark and over such a large area, it was amazing that I spotted my phone. I felt like this really was searching for a needle in a haystack. There was no telling if I was retracing my steps in the same way - a few feet off would have caused me not to find it. We are so hooked to our modern technology! So that's my simple lucky story. I hope we get a few more sign ups. I ordered some great seeds to share. As for me, I still need to pull my act together on Bagging Up the Blues. I haven't done much of anything while being sick! Jeanne |
|
| I will join in on this one. I too have been feeling a bit under the weather. I guess it is that time of the year. I know I have had many lucky moments but my head is a bit foggy right now so I will give my story at a later time. Margo |

| I have had diabetes and taken shots since I was 5. I was pregnant with our second child. It was March and I was due in May. I had terrible back pain and thought it was false labor. We drove the 50 miles to the hospital. I thought they'd do their hospital medical magic and make the pain go away, but instead I passed a kidney stone and my water broke. My girl came c-section and she was 3 lbs. She was as long (or as short) as the nurse's hand, a tiny little thing. "She can eat and breathe," my husband announced to anyone who would listen. Although very small she was a fighter. Every time a man tells me they had a kidney stone and the pain was terrible I tell them I can beat their story. I had a kidney stone and came home with a BABY! They can't beat that one! Put me on the swap list. This will be good! I think my luck is more God, but I'm glad to have the blessings! Heidi |

| Our sign ups so far: sandlapper_rose Heidi, that what quite the hospital experience for you! Plenty more time to sign up and whether you do or don't we would love to hear a lucky story from each FOTESS member. I am going to get off the computer now so I can work on the February Blues Swap! | Welcome, Vina! Our sign ups so far: I have some daffodils in bloom and 8 of my winter sowing jugs have sprouts in them, so there is activitiy in the garden! I also put in Melting Sugar Snow Peas so hopefully the little critters will leave them alone. I need to watch carefully and surround them with chicken wire if they get nibbled as soon as they break through the soil. LOL Jeanne |

| Well, I don't know if this is the luck of the Irish. DH got into a car accident thursday night. He was on his way home from work. He hit a police car (Yes, you did read that right!) Both cars were totalled. Where's the luck? No one was seriously injured. DH was able to drive the van home. The police officer admitted that he ran a stop sign! |

| This is right up my alley, I'm not very crafty so I'll join. One of my most lucky days was when my three children were fairly young and they were outside playing and I went out to burn the trash and told the oldest boy to put the lawnmower in the shed and my youngest son to put the empty gas can in the shed. My daughter and I went back into the house and a little while later my youngest son Aaron casually walked in and calmly said "It's too scary outside." I asked what do you mean and he said "Derricks on fire." I rushed out and he was laying on the ground. He said he was watching the trash burn when Aaron walked up to see what he was doing and sat the gas can down near the trash burner. The fumes from the can exploded and caught Derrick's shirt on fire and he laid on the ground and rolled to put the fire out. I asked him how he knew what to do and he said from the Dick Van Dike show. A small part of his shirt melted on his chest, about the size of a fifty cent piece. I took him in to the emergengy room and they got the shirt off and kept him overnight to make sure he hadn't inhailed any flames. He was alright and we felt so lucky it wasn't worse and that he knew what to do when his shirt caught fire. Several lessons learned!! |

| Wow, some of these "lucky stories" are downright scary! So glad your husband is okay booberry85 (and the police officer, too) and so glad your children were okay after the fire incident, hibiscusfan. That could have been really bad. I'm sure you were thankful for that episode of Dick Van Dyke! Here are our sign ups now: Remember to sign up by the end of the day Fri. if you want to join in on the March Swap. As I said, I know I am running ahead of March here, but I am hoping people can receive by St. Patrick's Day if we do it this way. The crafts/recycles have been fun, but I think we will all be busy in our gardens soon... well, maybe not so soon for those "up north" but definitely here in the south. Jeanne |
|
| This swap got me to thinking about leprechans and being vertically challenged. Are any of you short? I'm 4' 10 3/4" tall. It occured to me that I may shrink as I age. (I'm 43, but don't tell anyone. Then you can figure out how old my mother is. Then you can figure out how old my grandmother is and she has guarded this secret her entire life! She'll come after you with a skillet!) Anyway, if I shrink at all I'll only be 4'10" and you know what that means? They say children 4'10" have to be in a booster seat in the back seat strapped in for safety. If you see this short old lady driving from the back seat strapped into a child's car seat...that will be me! You can call me a leprechaun...I've been called worse... and by the luck of the Irish I won't run over you! :) |
|
- Posted by booberry85 z5NY (becky@leadtesting.net) on Wed, Feb 22, 12 at 7:48
| I'm vertically challenged and 43 as well! I'm either 5'2" or 5'3." Somehow in my 30's I magically grew an inch! DH always makes fun of me for having the driver's seat all the way rolled forward. I'm also very good at hitting my head on things because I never think to look up since I'm so short! LOL! |
|
| Well, I'm not short, but I am good at banging my head, elbows and knees on things! If it's sticking out by even a half inch, I'll bump into it! I've had a lot of good luck in my life; one of the best was our trip to Ireland, back in 07. My dream trip! We were in country for 12 days, mostly in Northern Ireland. I felt blessed and very fortunate to be able to go. Still do! Have a great day! Shirley! |

| I thought it was about time for a game. Yes, there will be a small prize! The game will be a backwards form of the Bingo that many groups here on the Round Robin play. I will have my own list of 17 words (for March 17th, St. Patrick's Day) I will be the only one who knows what words are on the list, but they will all relate it some way to St. Patrick's Day. You can guess up to two words a day by posting them here on this thread. I will tell you if anyone guesses a word on the list. The first to guess each word gets "credit" for it (1 point) and whoever has the most points by March 17th, gets the prize. Anyway, we can start today if anyone wants to begin posting guesses. I love the comments about being short and bumping into things. I do both. One time I commented to my daughter that they use podiums that are too tall because when I speak and stand behind them, it makes me feel short. My daughter said, "But you are short." At the time that comment sounded odd to me, but now it's funny that I thought of the size in the opposite way! Have a good day. |

|
| I'm going to pass this month, but I'll play the games. pinch A kid called Cedric used to call me corned beef & it drove me crazy in 4th or 5th grade. I've never liked teasing. He lived in my neighborhood, so while walking to the bus or waiting for it I had to hear him call out, "Corned beef. Ha, ha...." I tried to ignore him, but it would get to me. My younger brother was eager to start a fight to get him to stop, but fortunately he didn't because the other kid wore metal braces & walked with crutches due to the effects of polio. It would have been cruel to fight him & I think he knew it, so teased me all he wanted. I still don't like corned beef to this day. Corrine |

| My guesses for today are: clover spring The corned beef reminds me. I have a DH who is part Irish, born on St. Patrick's Day. He's #7 of 8 kids. His name is Patrick. Do you know what he loves to eat for his birthday? Corned beef & cabbage, you say? No, lasagna!!!LOL!!! |

| My guesses: Irish stew Dublin |
|
- Posted by sandlapper_rose z7B-8A SC (My Page) on Fri, Feb 24, 12 at 10:54
| Not pinch or corned beef, but I understand about the name calling, Corrine. I had a long, difficult to pronounce maiden name and sometimes got called "Jeannie Cabbage" or "Jeannie Alphabet" - I hadn't even thought of that for a long time until you mentioned your story. Pub is on the list, jaynine, but not whiskey. You now have 3 points! Potato is on the list but not beer. Canyonwind now has 2 points! Sorry bagpipes, kilt, Irish stew, and Dublin are not on the list. 5 more words to be guessed. Keep in mind that the words I wrote down are one word only. Also if the word could be singular or plural, guessing either will count. If no one guesses them by Monday, I will put some hints on here to help out. Here are the scores as of now: jaynine has 3 points (If I got someone's score wrong, let me know. I think I counted them up correctly.) There are 5 words left and with all these good guesses, I'm sure someone will get them! Sorry, Corrine, but I love corned beef and cabbage. Booberry, that would be such fun to have a St. Patrick's Day birthday. I am jealous of your husband. Lasagna, huh? LOL Must admit, I like that, too. I'm glad I worked in the garden for awhile yesterday. It was a beautiful day. Today we have rain and now some thunder so I guess I'd better shut the computer down. Jeanne |
|
| My guesses for today are: Paddy Snakes We had about 2 inches of snow last night, but it is already melting off. I like corned beef, but not cabbage. Would take lasagne over that any day! Have a great day all! Shirley! |
|
- Posted by sandlapper_rose z7B-8A SC (My Page) on Fri, Feb 24, 12 at 12:24
| Shirley, Snakes is on the list! Not Paddy though. Looks like we are in for lots of rain today and maybe tomorrow, too. With the thunder, I probably will not be on the computer as much as usual. New score list: jaynine has 3 points Time to get off the computer again. We need the rain, but somehow don't like it when it comes all at once. It was 81 degrees and sunny yesterday. Almost broke the high temperature record. Jeanne |

| Good tries from everyone. No one got it this time, but I am getting my mind set to where "pretty close" will do the trick. One of my words was Christianity and I was going to allow that or Christian for the point so I am giving Corrine a point for "Catholic" - that is probaby more accurate for St. Patrick than my word was! So now the points are: jaynine has 3 points I'll be matching partners later today. Also, I decided to start giving hints today for the last three words to be guessed. They will start out kind of hard, but I will make it easier with the hints each day to make sure we get all of them. The first words begins and ends with "C" I think the problem was the 17 words. The first 10 everyone got right away so those must have been obvious choices and then the words weren't quite so obvious! LOL Have a good day. |
|
- Posted by sandlapper_rose z7B-8A SC (My Page) on Sat, Feb 25, 12 at 12:35
| I got the matches done faster than I expected. I wanted to look and make sure I didn't match you with a partner from last month so I could scramble up the sending a bit. This month you will send to and receive from the same person so... Jeanne (sandlapper_rose) and Becky (booberry) will be partners. No delivery confirmaiton required this time, but please use a padded envelope so the seeds won't get crushed in the mail and don't forget to include an Irish blessing of some sort! Mail by March 8th. Let us know what you receive. I love to hear about miniatures varieties and the blessings/sayings should be interesting, too! Jeanne |

| Sorry not fields or clancy. Sorry you've been sick booberry. I had a cold that came on a few weeks ago and it is so slow to go away. Hope to see the last of it soon. Get well in a hurry. I'll post some hints about the final two words tomorrow in case anyone wants to wait until after the hints to take a guess. Jeanne |

Here are the next two clues: For the word that begins with "F" - There is a national college of this at University College Dublin. Good luck. If these clues don't allow someone to guess, I will give more letters in each word until they get guessed. Jeanne |

|
- Posted by sandlapper_rose z7B-8A SC (My Page) on Sun, Feb 26, 12 at 10:45
| We have a winner! Congratulations to Alana (poisondartfrog). Yes indeed, ballad and folklore are the final two words on the list. That adds 2 points to your total and you have 4 points! Thanks to all who played. (Hibiscusfan, you had ballad, too, but the first person to guess the word gets the point. Sorry...) Prior to this I had no idea a person could study folklore. That sounds like my kind of major! I haven't bought the prize for this game yet but will get it and will mail the prize and my seeds in early March so hopefully the packages will get there by St. Patty's Day. I've had fun this month with the lucky stories and the game and it's not even March yet! I hope you have, too... and we still have the swap ahead of us. I don't know if I can play in April. I will be spending part of that time visiting with my daughter, son-in-law and triplet grandsons. It's the boys' first birthday tomorrow. Hopefully my daugher or the other grandmother will send me a picture and I can post it. Long story about why I am going to see them after their birthday instead of on their birthday. They are having two birthday parties - they had one last weekend and now another one today. I think triplets are special enough to have 2 parties, after all there are 3 of them! LOL While I am gone my husband will be at home so there will be no problem with any mail that comes my way. We have several members with March birthdays so in addition to making sure everyone receives her swap, I am going to try to pop in here with birthday wishes during March. Jeanne |
|
| When I check in here, I always try to come up with some kind of luck to tell you all about but draw up a blank. Well, that lucky happened today. My daughter and I went up to the Bridal shop to get her undergarments and then bought some bridal items at a craft store. Just a couple of miles from home there is a high spot where there is a train track. I slowed down because my daughter had a coffee in her hand. We drove on and I was slowing down to turn left onto a road to get home. There was a van coming up to our road and she had a stop sign so we had the right of way. That woman just drove right through that stop sign. One hand on the steering wheel and the other had her cell phone up in the air while she was texting. She looked up with this blank stare while she just drove in front of us. My daughter and I truly believe had I not slowed down, we would have been hit right on my side. It was a moment where God was right there with us. I just couldn't believe what I was witnessing. I just wondered if she realized life isn't worth losing just to send a message to someone you can talk to at a safer time. |

| Margo, I am so thankful that you and your daughter are okay. Times like that make your life flash before your eyes. People not paying attention when they drive is one of my pet peeves - you are right - talk to that person later when you are off the road. Texting is even worse than speaking on a cell phone while driving. Those two things are definitely not meant to be done at the same time. A few days ago I was driving home and on the way, I got every single red light. That was bothering me until I got closer to home and saw there was a very bad wreck a few miles from my house. Who knows, without those red lights, I could have been that area at that time. There are times when God seems to be looking out for us. So glad you had that thought to slow down. Jeanne |

| Without getting into a lot of messy details that would drain you all emotionally...my husband saw the light today and did the right thing. It's required a lot of patience on my part which I'm not good at...but I'm learning. Did you know green is the color of healing? I always liked that about March. Annie, I got your email. Yep, you're right on! The address is correct. Heidi |

| Glad you're feeling better, booberry. I'll let you know when my package gets here. I haven't mailed yet. I decided I needed to buckle down and get my paperwork together for taxes. No fun, but you have to do it. Very creative, xiangirl! Thanks for sharing. I tried to gather the list of birthdays for our group members. Here are the birthdays that we have coming up in March. March 2 - jaynine I will say that March is a very popular birthday month! I'll try to remember to post a happy birthday here on the thread for each of you. I hope everyone is fine after yesterday (and early this morning) with the bad storms. Jeanne |

| Hi Jeanne, So glad you got it and like it! A hundred thousand (your) welcomes! Becky |
|
| With the swap partners posted within the activity of the game, I totally missed it. Jeanne said she would pick by March 1st so when I got on and saw someone had already received their package, I realized I had missed something. I sent an email to Suzanne explaining I am dog sitting and will be home on Sunday. I have most of what I need there so will be sending the envelope out in plenty of time. Hope everyone makes it through the predicted bad weather hitting parts of our country again tomorrow. There are saying there will be bad storms here as well as the possibility of tornadoes. There is no basement here so have no idea what to do if the sirens do go off. Margo |

| Don't worry, Margo, you have plenty of time. The mail out date is March 8th. Becky must have had my package sitting there ready to go! I haven't mailed to her yet, but hope to get it mailed out tomorrow as well as the prize to Alana. I hope the storms don't even show up. You mentioned basements and sirens, Margo. We don't have either around here. You head for an interior space without windows - maybe get under a strong table or a staircase or you hold pillows and other soft items all around you as a shield. There's not much else you can do. A tornado hit the town I live in quite a few years ago, but I was at work so I didn't experience it as it went through. Lots of damage though. I couldn't believe the damage I was seeing as I was driving home. Not knowing exactly where it hit, I took a chance on what I thought would be the better way home - I was driving right through the area where it hit an hour or so earlier. Luckily our home and things were just fine. It really hit hard about 6 miles from us. Jeanne |

| Happy Birthday Jaynine! You and Dr. Seuss!! Awesome combo!:D Have a great day! |
|
| Happy Birthday Jaynine. Jeanne, I do have a plan if needed. They have a bathroom that I can take cover in. I am not really worried but more concerned with the power going out and the dogs having issues during the storm. My daughter goes to college here at OSU and she is joining me for the rest of the weekend so that will be nice. I lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan years ago and in 1980 experienced a tornado that went right over where I was working. By the way, it does sound like a freight train. Anyway, it went right through downtown and four people were killed. For a few weeks, I had to take the long way around the city because so much was closed off to traffic. We also had a couple flat tires due to nails from things that were destroyed and blown around. Quite frightening and an experience you never forget. Stay safe all, Margo |
|
| Happy, Happy Birthday, Janine! Hope you had a great day! Margo, that sounded really scary! Years ago, back in PA, we had a series of small tornados come thro our area. One came thro the community ball fields, which we had just left about 15-20 minutes before, after the kids ball games finished. That was scary. The tornados all went north and really did some damage in the county north of us. All we are getting here today is rain and wind. Hope that's all we get. Be safe, All. Shirley! |

| I made it to the post office. Becky (swap) and Alana (prize), watch for mail. I just came in from winter sowing. I am almost out of milk jugs so I don't know what my total will be this year. Probably under 100. I am at 84 now. Maybe I can replant some of the things that have sprouted into pots and then reuse the jugs. I know our soil must be terrible and our tree roots must interfere with our plants because the things in containers look so much better than anything planted in the ground. Hope the storms miss everyone. Jeanne |

| Heidi, I am planning on sending your Leapin Leprechaun out on Monday. I do hope all is well. Margo, be safe! I have never been in a hurricane or tornado to speak of, but have been in many earthquakes out here in California. I suppose the earthquakes do not phase me because I have experienced so many of them but the thought of a real and devastating wizard of oz moment does turn my stomach a bit. A little city with homes is alive and a moment later it is gone....just like that....gone. Jaynine, a very Happy Birthday to you!! Cheers on your special day! Enjoy! Happy weekend...be well, be safe and hopefully happy, wherever you may be. Annie |

| WhooHoo! Go my treats from Jeanne today! Erin Go Bragh! Oh that wasn't my Irish saying. I was distracted by the chocolate! Yes on a cute package of green M & M's it said "Erin Go Bragh" (Ireland forever). Also in the package is Plum Lemon Tomatoes seeds,Bush Basil and Dahlia Unwins Dwarf mix. I consider basil part of the "Holy Trinity" of spices. I've also always wanted to grow dahlias but have had a little fear of trying to grow them. Jeanne also sent me a sweet Irish prayer: May God give you... Thanks so much Jeanne! |

| Here's a story of "luck"... I was sleeping night before last, and about 3 in the morning I hear a loud CRASH... The back door to my mobile (which is made out of aluminum thinner than that on a soda can, and covers a non-solid Styrofoam core. had wiggled in the wind enough for the wind to grab hold of the door, tear it loose, and slam it into my palm tree. This of course startled me awake as you might imagine... I checked my watch and noted that it was about 3:30am... I quickly fixed the door, but started thinking about my 138 hot pepper seedlings that had been sitting on the picnic table... I QUICKLY ran around to the table, and was relieved to find that the house had shielded them from the wind... a few were knocked over, but all were still on the table, and only a couple had any damage... none were hurt too terribly bad. just a cotyledon here, and there. I think 4 plants in total were damaged out of 138... could have been much MUCH worse. On my way back to the front door, the little windmill I have by my (141) planted hot peppers pulled out of the ground and blew over just a few yards in front of me. Needless to say, there were many things that could have gone worse this night. Ken |

| Ken, I'm so glad to hear you are okay and didn't have more damage. I had to laugh about you going out to check on your plants. We can all relate to that. We have had quite a bit of wind the past few days and I thought about tying my winter sowing jugs together so they wouldn't get blown around, but I never did. Thannkfully, they have been fine, but I totally understand. I have a windmill, too, so I hope your windmill is okay or can be repaired. My husband gave me the one I have as a birthday present one year and I really love it. Glad to have you come by to tell your story. A little luck goes a long way! Jeanne |

| Oh, my, I got carried away in the wind (LOL) - I also meant to say that I'm happy you liked your swap, Becky, and you liked your prize, Alana. For whatever reason, I just love St. Patrick's Day - maybe it's because of the green! Heidi, I hope your daughter is doing well recovering from her tooth surgery. Dental issues love me - and I so do not love them! Okay... time to head up to bed. See everyone tomorrow. Jeanne |

| Ann,I received your package today and it is so much fun! I see we mailed each other's out the same day. I hope my pony express is as fast as your pony express was! She sent me a very sweet Irish Blessing that covered all the seasons and many fun, fun seeds--I think 12 kind! They all have green tags, too! Everything is on green paper, even the address label on the package. AND for luck she sent a fun green plant marker. As long as we're talking luck...I went to the park where I planted seeds last year and some are coming up! Everything is coming up around here and it's so early...but it was so fun to see those sprouting babies coming up. It brings HOPE to the rest of life! Thank you again Ann! I'm going to do the seed dance around the house all night! Heidi |

I have not been out to check on my winter sowing jugs since I got home from my weekend trip - need to head out there and see what new has sprung up! Jeanne |
|
| I'm in Nebraska and we got 18 hours of gentle rain. We really needed it. It wasn't constant...enough to soak in. Everything is coming up so early...but we can't stop it. This little leprechaun took over an abandoned city park flowerbed last year. The park guys whacked off anything that wasn't blooming every 2 weeks. I pulled out the weeds and planted many things, putting in stakes to let them know NOT to whack off certain plants. I checked this weekend and several perennials are coming back and some of the seeds have sprung up, too! The great thing about this flower bed is that once it gets warm enough they turn on the automatic sprinklers and the flowers never dry out! It was so fun to see! Annie...I am going to use my dibbler to separate those babies after they grow a bit more. I can't wait! Today it is supposed to be 72 and the coolest day all week. Unprecedented! Heidi |

You can continue to post here for the rest of the month if you have anything to pass along. Shirley will be our hostess for April and I know she will come up with something great. I'll be heading out to visit with my grandtriplets soon. I may take my iPad with me; and if so, I might be able to check in now and then. Free time is pretty non-existent though... LOL Jeanne |

| Hi Everyone, sorry I haven't been posting much; a dear friend is in the hospital, and that's been taking up a lot of my time, kind of worried about her. I will be posting the April FOTESS Swap this weekend. I would like to thank Becky (booberry) and Heidi (xiangirl) for sharing ideas with me for this swap, I'll be in touch within the next few days, Ladies! I really appreciate your interest and ideas! Our weather has been beautiful! Stole a few hours this morning and went out to our State park to take pictures. Got what I think is a Merlin! Merlins are small falcons, not rare, but rarely seen. Jeanne, hope you have a great time with the grandtriplets, and NO, you won't have a lot of computer time! Enjoy! and have a safe journey Will talk to ya all soon! Shirley! |
