Susan I'm interested. Just don't know how many types of different "Winter Squash" we may come up with OR have room to grow as most take a good bit of space.
Let's see how it shapes up.

Great Pat, I think this will gain momentum as we get into Spring. I love winter squashes and there are many many varieties. They are one of my favorites cause the squash can be kept through winter.

Winter Squash can be grown vertically on trellises so for those who have little space don't discount winter squash. I have grown acorn and a small variety butternut on a trellis. Did real well.

What about just a squash swap? Summer squash, winter squash and pumkin included? I dont know.. just an idea. Pehaps a post in the veggie exchange area and heirloom exchange area would bring more squashers.. :)
