I have called the PO. I have talked to her, and I have raised my voice a bit at her. She just doesn't care. People around here really don't understand gardening. You think they would seeings this is a farming community!!! But, who knows!!!
I thought about just moving my mailbox. I would rather inconvenience myself than sacrifice my plants.

Could I be a newbie backup? I joined in late Nov and I don't have any plants other then a few unnamed irises and daffodils don't think too many are looking for those.

Hi everyone!
I hope ya'll are having a great weekend. It's nice & sunny here, so of course we're out doing some debris cleanup. LOL
Just wanted to share a pic & funny story with everyone real quick.
Our cat, Marm, has been looking really....um....FAT lately, and has been waddling around the yard. He's actually put on 8 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I just assumed that he'd been doing his share of hunting, since we've had so many birds in the yard, hiding in all the downed limbs & such.
WELL......turns out, that my ever-adorable 5 year old daughter, Aubeni, has been feeding this cat 5 meals A DAY! And I mean, MEALS....as in....a tupperware bowl (a 2 cup capacity) FULL of cat food. We went through a 20lb bag in less than 2 weeks, with ONE CAT. This poor cat has been gobbling down enough food for 10 cats. GEE WHIZ!
I actually caught Aubeni giving him the food, and she confessed to giving him that much food a day. *UGH*
So we had a stern talk about how much food the darn cat actually NEEDS & why. She thought she was doing him a favor, the sweet girl. She thought because he was meowing, he was hungry. LOL

This is Marm.....look closely, and I think you can see the smile on his furry face. LOL!

This is one spoiled cat. The girls even carry him around like a baby (blanket and all), and they even put him in the baby swing & push him for hours. The cat loves it.

LOL..I can sympothise with the puppies! I got a golden retriever/yellow lab puppy 10 days ago. He is the greatest pup, but he can sure be a rascle..lol

ummm, Bunny? that just sounds like typical cat behavior to me. but then, I'm still new at this cat thing, having only been the pet of a cat for less than 18 months. it sounds to me like you've got what I call a "social" cat, not an "anti-social" one. some cats will just do anything to get attention, and Marm sounds like he knows how to get plenty of that! idn't it kewl?

Hmmmm. Dan, I had a cat once that would suck on people's ears. Most embarrassing when we had company over...had to warn everyone when the cat started jumping on laps. LOL "uh, you might want to cover your ears..." LOL

Last year we managed to get this picture of Linda's back yard. She says she was making kool-aid with this contraption, but we're thinking it's where she makes that "special ingredient" for her tea. Whatever it is, Linda simply calls it "The Recipe", kind of like the Baldwin sisters on The Waltons, remember them? Wonder if she's related.....

I love the pic of the kitties. I have two that sleep on their backs, and 2 dogs that do that as well, and it still cracks me up.

The chickie crashed out on the table looks pretty darn good whether or not it's the day after a party!
