Jamie, there are two swaps where you'd be more than welcome to join in! First, check out the UPDATE: 2nd Annual 'Adopt a Newbie' #2 thread. It's for newbies such as yourself, and experienced gardeners willing to help newbies along.
Secondly, try out the MNF group. MNF = Making New Friends, and that's what we're all about. We don't have a lot of rules, just want you to have some fun while trading stuff along the current month's theme. The April trade should be posted soon, but pop in on the March thread and check us out.

Welcome to GW! You will find all kinds of fun interesting ppl here! There is usually more "chatter" going on, but everyone seems to be neck deep into a lot of other things.

I have been going to do a "kids" swap, I just have not had the time to sit down and get it done! I have a 3yr old (4 in June) he loves to garden, and LOVES to go through my swap boxes with me, so I am sure he would have a ball doing a kid swap. Keep an eye out, I am going to try and do one in May or June.

You can pop in and chat with just about any of the groups, most of us love new folks. The Petal Pushers is another one you can stop in at.
