Sharon, Evidently I messed up while packaging the seeds, because I have listed both kind of hollyhocks on the same package and I don't have any more left - so there must be both kinds in the package. To make it up to you, I am including some orange Crocosmia seed.

If anyone is not happy with the quantity they received in my packages, please let me know and I would be happy to offer you something else. I was running low on some of the seeds, but wanted to send them on their way to a good home. I haven't wintersowed my tender annuals yet, so will have more seeds available once I do that.

    Thanks - Bev

    Bev,

I am so excited about anything that I get. Please don't include anything extra. And as far as quantity goes, I'll be happy with 2 seeds of everything I have ask for. Being new to this I don't have a lot of any one kind of seeds myself. I tried to devide what I had to give to all that wanted it. I just hope to plant what I get and gather those seeds to trade in the future. I am also trying to figure out what Wintersowing is about so I'll have even more seeds to swap.

    Thanks so much
    Sharon

Sharon, you will defintely need to try wintersowing. This is my first year attempting it and I already have 87 containers that have sprouts. Pretty cool. I am keeping a detailed journal of what seeds, when I placed them outside, what kind of container, when they sprouted. I am in zone 5 so a little colder than yours but I would be more than happy to share it with you when I finish it in May. It is compiled using Microsoft excel.

  • sharon5840

    Connie,

You just made my day again! I am retired but I can't stop processing with the information I learned while working. I keep all my gardening information in an Excel spreadsheet as well. I would love to get a copy of your Wintersowing info. I wanted to try some Wintersowing now but I'm afraid it's too late here. It's going to be in the 80's this week and not even a frost expected in the extended forecast. Our last frost date this year may be March 7. A very unusual year unless something unexpected happens. Oh, and I don't live in the South, just the southern part of Missouri.

I also mailed my seeds today.
Thank you for hosting this swap and taking on some newbies like me.

Thanks to everyone for their generosity in sharing their seeds with me. I will see that they are Loved and Shared with others!

    Connie,
My response to your email was rejected, but the gist of the message was "no problem."
I took a bit of a vacation over the weekend and am still behind, but I will mail tomorrow.
The first two requestors of the Foxtail Fern and the Amaranthus were the only two I could honor for those seeds. Also, I just had enough Tiarella for the first requestor. I think I have everything else covered.
    Thanks, Alana

I believe all the packages are on there way to me now.
msbellamia dropped out and I have not heard from Lilyfinch, I will give her until all the packages get to my house to respond to my email.

I am not sure the 'correct way' to handle this :) so this is my plan. I will post the seeds that were sent in from them.

1- let me know if there is anything that interests you.
2- The remaining seeds I thought I would post on the seed exchange a package or two for some new gardeners. I hope everyone agrees with that.

I have no problem with you giving my seeds that were sent into you for the two members that dropped out. It doesn't matter to me who has them!

    Hi All,

Got my seeds tonight. I spent the entire day doing my daughters income taxes and I was so glad I didn't go to the mailbox before I got that completed. I know I would have spent the day looking at seeds instead.

Thanks to everyone for all the amazing seeds. I can't imagine how many seeds you all must have cause I'm feeling like I have a million right now. And loving it! This was my first swap and I've only been a member of GW for less than a month. Thanks again for every last one. I hope that some day in the future we all might trade together again.

    Connie,

A very special thanks to you for all your time and efforts. You did an excellent job.

Wendy, I did not receive your postage until this past Tuesday so your package went out in the mail Thursday. I am sorry but I did not get you any delivery confirmation, did u ask me too? Maybe I should have assumed, but it never even occurred to me- I just returned the excess money for stamps to you. I typically assume 5 days for mailing. Hopefully you should get yours by wednesday.

I know what you mean about Jaynine and Alana-- I was happy to have something for them as well.

Glad people are happy with what was sent in for them. Seeds that were sent in for people that dropped out have also been mailed out to 2 people- waiting on the last two. So thanks to everyone for participating in helping out a newbie. That feels good to be able to, I know a bunch of people helped me out. Happy gardening all.
