Hello Blooming Friends,

Welcome to the June Swap. This month we will be getting dirty. We will be getting out in the garden, getting dirt in our fingernails, getting pot ghettos planted, getting beds cleaned out and planted, etc.

The idea is a month-long contest. Please try and update your plant want list before signing up. Then your partner will try to send as many plants from your list as possible. Once you have received your box, you will spend some time using the plants to make over an area in your garden with them. On another "graphics" thread, you will then post a before and after picture of the work you got done this month. If you're not good with posting pictures, that's okay....please post a description of what you got done and If you don't receive plants that's okay too... surely there's some work to be done out there somewhere... It doesn't have to be done with what you receive from your partner. At the end of the month, a winner will be chosen as to who accomplished the most and she and her partner will receive a prize. So, you are trying to somehow encourage your partner to get alot done. It might be a nice touch to send a "clean-up" product as well.....We don't like to stay "dirty".

As far as the prize, I am still working on it...I would like it to be a nice one so please give me a few days. We'll probably have a few mini-contests this month too. If you'd like to request a person to send to, please email me and I will do my best (boring24@bellsouth.net)

Okay, let's update those want lists and sign up.....

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Hi All!

I'm Baaaack!! (and having trade with-drawl!!)

Although I would love to join, I just don't have the plants at this time. I know some of you know I moved from Michigan to Montana this spring. (btw, my yard looks NOTHING like the pics I posted last summer! LOL) I brought what plants with me that I could, but just didn't have the room in the moving van!

I would, however, like to post some pics on the graphics thread if you don't mind. I have sooooo much work to do and posting pics to remind me what I haven't done yet will be a great incentive! (esp. when I post the before pics and you all say "OMG! just move again! It would be easier!" LOL!

I don't expect to be included in the contest, I know that is for the swap. But I did miss it on here! I just didn't have time to get on for months!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I have to pass. I'm only home two weeks out of the month and believe me, I'm so busy pulling weeds, that redoing a bed or making a new bed next month is out of the question. I will however be able to offer a couple of games with plants as prizes.

LIFE IS GOOD,
Annie

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa,
You have a great idea here but I am going to pass... just anticipate it being too hot to get a lot done outdoors in June and I am trying to avoid digging and planting as much as I can until about September. (Don't even like to think about the long, hot, dry summer...)
I will be dropping in to say hello to the group and see what everyone is accomplishing.
Have fun!
Jeanne

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Hmmm....Too ambitious huh? Certainly anyone can participate in the contest without being in the swap and Vice Versa. This way we can include more members. And surely there are some that prefer to not receive plants. If that is the case, please post so that you can get matched up with someone to swap with. I know that most of us like to get plants at this time of year.....that's why I mentioned that.

Vic, That means you're in the contest :) I will get a graphics thread started soon.

Also, please sign up by June 1st!

Theresa

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa,
I'm going to have to pass too.. I worked this entire weekend cleaning up my flower beds, putting down new red mulch, moving and dividing plants. Things don't really grow well for me once it turns hot. I would have to wait until mid September or early October to plant a new bed.

Have fun with the swap Ladies! I'll check in often!

Deb

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I'll play but cannot start another new flower bed for i have 4 now that need filled in :))) so if that will be ok :)) i'd love to play .

still have to up-date my trade list yet . will go work on it :)) .
have a great day

Theresa,
Hope you all have fun this month but I have to pass also. It is getting too hot here also. Thanks, Amy

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Well, now that I'm in the contest I really have to get in gear! Looks like there won't be much competition, I just might have a chance!!

Theresa, will the graphics thread be in this forum, or a different one?

Hi,
Now all you Southerners are making me feel good about my weather. It doesn't get too hot to dig and plant here!
I'm in for trade plants, but I'm not making over anything this year. I did a few beds last year. If the contest was in July for making over a patio, I might win! lol. Actually, I'll be building a bed in front of the new deck, but it is going to be awhile on that.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I miss everyone and this does sound like fun BUT>>>> I'm not gardening in my own dirt this summer so I need to pass.
I'll be watching and stop in to say hello every once in a while.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Sorry to have to say this but I'm passing on June's swap. Will be passing on July's also. Will be away too much to be able to join in on the swapping. Will be checking in to say hello though.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I am in for this month. It's getting really hot here, but we keep having rain...and rain...and more rain...LOL...so I think everything will be OK to trade next month. Possibly a bit wet..but shouldn't be too bad.

Vic- good to see you back! How did your move go?

Off to work on my trade list! :O)

Melissa

Thanks, it's good to be back, I'm sure I missed a lot of good swaps (and stories!)

As far as my move, picture a gigantic lolipop it su----!
We had to rent out the house, can't sell in this market, and just before we left our well went out - $4200.00 later and the renter has better water and pressure than I ever had there! We borrowed a fiends truck to take some stuff to the junk yard and managed to get a giant hole in the tire, unrepairable and had to buy a new one. Along with several other mishaps. Oh well, life goes on and we are here now, and trying to get unpacked, I don't know which is worse, packing or unpacking! yuck!

Vic

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I think part of the reason you see us "Southerners" being leary of planting in the hot weather is what we experienced last summer... horrible drought for nearly the whole year in 2007 and many places had water restrictions. Perhaps it will rain more this year and we will be more flexible in 2009. All of the problems of last year are still fresh in our memories. Our Spring stated off better than last year for rain, but the last few weeks have been very dry. Now wouldn't it be nice if Mother Nature scattered the rain around instead of floods in one place and drought in another? Anyway, there are some areas of my yard I want to re-do and plan to re-do, but it sure won't be until late in the fall.
Have fun everyone! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Theresa, I'm willing to give this a try. What with being in school all week and rain on the week-ends, my beds area MESS with weeds. So they need a massive clean-up. I don't remember how to post pics, but I can try if someone will help me. I don't plan to redo a bed or start a new one, though. I have places that I can add to. Is this okay, Theresa? If it's not, don't be afraid to let me know. My feelings won't be hurt. :)

Laura, I am sending out your box today. I posted the DC# on the May thread.

Maryanne and Shirley, I wrote to you, too, on the May thread.

All of you have a blessed day,
Mary Ellen

RE: Drought

I was told when I moved here (Billings, Montana) that I would learn what it is like to garden in a drought. The summers are supposed to be hot and very dry. And I've been told that it is quite a challenge to grow things because of that. It has been raining almost everyday since I got here! Yesterday on the news they said we just broke a record for the most consecutive days of rain LOL! Since my ground is all rocky, hard clay the rain will make it easier for me to get out and start digging (I hope).

They usually have water restrictions here in the summer also. We are not in the city, and there are very few areas that you can actually dig down to get a well. We are on a cistern so water will definately be rationed. There is a grey water tank set up but I have to get the pump in it and get it going. It is evidently like a sump pump, and when there is water in the tank it kicks on and sends it to where I have the hoses going. Hmmm......that might be the only thing that saves my flowers! This is all new to me! If anyone out there has the same type of system I would love to here comments/suggestions.

Now, before you go too far, I did post on another area in the forum asking about the grey water tank, and have read some water saving suggestions. Everything from saving the water out of the faucet while waiting for it to get hot, don't flush unless it's solid, to collecting urine in a separate container then mixing it with the grey water and use it for the garden (supposed to be good for it).

Ok, so I did try the saving water in a gallon jug while I was waiting for the hot water when doing dishes (I actually saved 2 gallons in one day and it was quite easy)
but, flowers or not, I am not going to be having everyone pee in a bucket, haul it outside and mix it with my other water, then water the plants! Even if it means I have to resort to only growing cactus, or having a lovely rock garden. I have to draw the line somewhere. LOL

When I told the guys about it my SS - 24yrs old said "so, that means I can pee on your plants" LOL I told him that was the closest I was going to get to recycling urine.

Well, gotta get some unpacking done, it's is supposed to be nice out today and I want to get out and play - and start working on that big patch of Burdock that has taken over one side of the house!

Have a nice day!
Vic

Jeanne,
I forgot how terrible bad last year was for so much of the southeast! I hope I didn't sound like I was picking on everyone. I was just thinking how I complain about the long winter, and can't do too much while you all are out enjoying beautiful spring weather. Anyway, I would be gun shy too. If you can't water what you plant, that obviously isn't good. I sure do pray you all don't see a repeat of that.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Vic,

~ to collecting urine in a separate container then mixing it with the grey water ~

OMG!! THat is DISCUSTING!!!! LOL I have lived in Wyoming all my life and I have never been that desperate for water for any of my gardens...

Where you are and where I grew up is very similar. We have to watch our water waste but there has never been a shortage so bad that we couldn't have a garden and keep it healthy or have to go with out showers, dish water and the other everyday stuff.

I dont have a cistern or a sump pump right now but have in the past. We have a well and it would be nice to have a cistern for storage because I tend to water way to long at a time and stress the pump.

One of the best ways to 'save' water is to catch it in a barrel when it rains. Either off the top of your house or like a giant rain gauge. Everyone around here and where I grew up has them - I think they are built in with them homes LOL

Welcome to the west!
Marie

PS
I want to be in this month but it will take me till Friday to get my list updated

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Marie,

Thanks for the welcome and encouraging words!

Our cistern isn't for the grey water, it is our "well" we have to have a water truck come out and fill it (just like you would a propane tank)then it is pumped into the house just like out of a well.

My Sis n law lives in Sheridan, WY are you anywhere near there?

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

The weather in Illinois has changed drastically over the years. We had normal seasons before, now everything is more extreme. We went from our first 83* day to 50* with in a matter of minutes! I wanted to turn on the central air so bad, but knew I had to hold off because I would be tempted to turn on the heat when the cold temps arrived. We really don't have a spring anymore (70's, sunny) we seem to have chilly weather that isn't comfortable (40's at night, threats of frost, 50's-low and jump straight into the HEAT of summer! Upper 80's, 90's that last up until mid September! Finally we then go back to chilly temps in mid-Sept to October. Then we freeze to death for months! I can't even imagine how birds survive our winter! Our storms are much stronger too, and most hit without warning. We have never had the yard flood like it did this spring! I was totally shocked looking at my garden under water for a few days! I'm in an area where no one has flood insurance (it's not needed). I'm really rethinking that!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

mellen, of course adding to a bed counts! Glad you're in.

Glad to see we have a few more joiners :)

Please all, don't be afraid, you don't have to be in the contest to swap :)

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Vic,

I live in the south east corner of the state - about an hour north-east of Cheyenne. But I grew up in Kaycee and went to some real fun party's in Sheridan :) Well... there isn't a whole lot to do for entertainment in Kaycee - 310 people is what the sign say's but I think they may be counting some twice! LOL

Having to have your water hauled is going to be interesting but drilling a new well right now is VERY pricey!! One of my neighbors just had one done here and it was over $10,000! Only 250 feet deep & not that great of water. They chose to quit there as it was just for watering the yard and new tree's for their wind break.

Marie

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

So far we have in the swap:

Skohler
Remy
Hazelnutbunny
mellen
Wynative

and Vic playing but not swapping.

I don't think I missed anyone? Of course, still plenty of time to sign up.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Ok, I'm not sure I have much of a chance at winning after all......after spending 30 min searching for a plug outside the house or in the garage - which is full of boxes and stuff and you can't even walk in it- I found one - on the ceiling! But, didn't matter cuz I'm outta weed wacker string! Can't find my pruners - for the one bush I do have, so then I went out to start loosening up the soil with my garden fork - NOT - this is some hard rocky ground, even after all the rain we've had! Can't get to my rototiller, it is burried behind all the other stuff in the garage! But, I did get some pics! Wow, I've got a lot of work ahead of me! LOL

Theresa, I sent you another e-mail, and thankyou for hosting this swap. I return to work tonight, but when I'm back home next Friday I will do a mini contest also.

I'm sorry but I won't be redoing any beds, and right now I would be ashamed to show any pictures as I'm only home two weeks out of the month. I think the good Lord put weeds on steroids when he created them. hehe

Big Sister!

Hey Theresa,
I think you are my big sister!? Sue wants my info (I can't believe she lost it just because I was MIA for sooooo long! LOL) And I think it was you that adopted me, but, due to lack of organization, and not being unpacked yet, I can't find all my old swap info! I belive it was last July, but I also did a swap with Deb, but I don't think she is my big sis, and can't even remember if it was an OBF swap, might have been MNF! Like I said, lack of organization! (hope that isn't a requirement to stay in the group, if it is I am sure to be kicked out! LOL)

If I have been gone so long that you want me to be "re-adopted" I understand and that is ok.

Sue,
I am going to send you all the info I can for now, till I find out when I was adopted!

Vic ~ who also lacks memory!

 o
Hmmm......now I'm confused

Ok, found the thread, but, I can't find where I put in a review for you Theresa! I'm sorry, I thought I had done them for all my trades! I do remember the box very well now, When I planted things I used window blind markers and permenant marker and put on them who they were from and where and what. The marker didn't make it through the winter, I have lots of plants that I brought with me that I have to get ID's on this year! I really wanted to keep track of where things came from thought it would be neat, my country-wide garden! I'm going to have to do some searching and see if I can't find what I got from who and where!
Vic

Hazelnutbunny to Anita (nyvoices99)

Marie(Wynative) send to Hazelnutbunny
Susie (skholer) send to Marie (Wynative)

Hope I didn't miss anyone. If so, please let me know!

Okay. Mini contest.

The first person to correctly identify the name of this grass AND spot the almost-hidden "garden art" in the picture will win a division of the grass (or something else. I will try to find a couple choices) AND a small scented hand lotion (for after you're done 'gettin dirty'). A hint....I think this picture makes it look a little bigger than it is. The stalks are actually about 2 ft tall. However, my malva zebrina in the background are on steroids this year or somthing. They are about 7 ft tall! I don't know what happend :0

Also I am starting a photo thread for anyone wanting to post before pictures (or heck just any pictures...we all like to look at them).

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Susie, I't's not pink feather grass. I do have a birdbath in that bed but I don't think it's anywhere in the picture. I should say that it's not true garden art but an object that is often in my garden(so in a humorous sense is garden art).

quiet thread. Where is everyone?
Theresa

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I will take a guess and say Pink Muhly Grass.
Garden art: a rake?

Hi All,
I've been busier than heck! Today was the local plant swap party, so I've been trying to get prepared for that the best I could this past week. I couldn't dig anything big because of breaking my toe, lol. The party was a lot of fun as usual. Quite a few new people were there. One lady(completely new to the area) was so happy about coming and people bringing her stuff that she brought fresh brown eggs from her chickens!
Yesterday was a crazy day too. They had a silent auction at work ending yesterday evening. I had to be there because I was trying to win a $400.00 grill(if it was new.) I got it for $49!! I also got some smaller goodies too.

For the contest, I'm guessing a love grass, and it looks like a giant spool in the background. Try to decide what it was was like a Rorschach Inkblot Test, lol.

Mellen,
Are you up for another box from me? lol : )

Vic,
Welcome back to the group : )

Mary Ellen

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Sure, guys. I didn't realize you've been paired already and there weren't many participants to "mix up".

Jeanne, LOL! There is likely to be a rake anywhere! But that's not it. It is smaller than a rake and not pink muhly grass.

Theresa

Partner switch

Does anyone want to switch partners with Remy and send to mellen? There were a couple "requests" I was trying to honor but there were others that were random so I suppose someone will want to switch.

Theresa, Of course you wouldn't know! Last month Remy sent plants to me for every single letter in my whole name-including my maiden name. It was a total of 23 plants. Just thought I would offer for her to not send to me again if she didn't want to. It's totally up to her, though. I don't care either way. I HOPE you didn't think I was stepping on your toes. I would NEVER want to do that to you!!!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I get to send to Melissa, I get to send to Melissa... LOL

Theresa - I guess Pink Pampas Grass (that is the only one I know the name of :) and the critter is a FROG?

Okay it probably isn't but I have frog's on the brain. My mom made me a ceramic frog about 5 years ago, I had it setting in one of my flower beds with a few others and this weekend all of my local 'live' toad's came out to visit. They are sooo cool!! Any way... I was mowing the yard and was trying to save time by clipping the edges with the mower instead of doing it correctly and OH CRAP!! I mowed off my ceramic frogs leg's :(

Moral of this story is: Do not take a short cut or your frog's will be cut short.

I finally got the floor of my Gazebo layed yesterday!
Gazebo Floor - 6/1/08
I didn't have enough brick/stepping stones to complete the walk way, I will pick more up this week but after 3+ years of working on this & the Secret Garden ~ I am so happy that it is this close to being done!. I will seal and caulk in a couple week's after it has settled a bit & get the junk in the back ground taken care of.

Marie

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Okay - I'm trying two guesses this time on what the yard art might be: one of those plastic owls or snakes that is supposed to scare critters away from eating you plants and seeds?
(Can you tell I can't ID a thing... just guessing!)

For those of you who might have missed my morning joke.. Here it is.. Happy Evening

ROSES & HANGING BASKETS

A teenage granddaughter
comes downstairs for her date
with this see-through blouse on and no bra.
Her grandmother just pitched a fit,
telling her not to dare go out like that!
The teenager tells her
'Loosen up Grams.
These are modern times.
You gotta let your rose buds show!'
and out she goes.
The next day the teenager comes down stairs,
and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on.
The teenager wants to die.
She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over
and that it is just not appropriate....
The grandmother says,
'Loosen up,
Sweetie.
If you can show off your rose buds,
then I can display my hanging baskets.

Happy Gardening.

Marie-That patio is beautiful...wish you lived close to me. You could help me do a walkway that has got to have something done to it. Steve (my son) did say he would come and do it this weekend so we will see. Your poor frogs legs. LOL

Laura-That joke is so cute. I want to remember that one. It's odd but I read and hear cute ones but can never remember them.

Theresa-Pink crystals Ruby grass and the garden art could be the wooden item on the ground, it looks something like a monkeys head, crocodile head, or a frogs head. I really have no clue just guessing.

I hope to get all my plants shipped out this week for the prizes, June swap and etc. I will let everyone know when I get them sent.

Theresa, Is it Karl Forster Feather Reed Grass and a grill?
If Remy is okay sending to me again, I'm okay with that, too. No partner switch needed.

Marie, poor little froggie! :(

You lucky ladies having plant swaps. They sound so fun! Wish I was there. Tell us about them when they are done, okay?

Tomorrow is a 1/2 day of school then the kids are done. Teachers are done on Thursday, but of course many of us will still be there as we are moving to different rooms in the same building. Huge fruit basket upset! I like where I'm going, though. Plus, I don't have to weed through everything since I did that last year.

Good night,
Mary Ellen

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa, I'm going to guess Pennisetum Karley Rose and I'm not for sure about the garden art. I thought in the backgound it might be a garden bench, but then it could be a building. LOL

I get to send to Shirley..YIPPPPI.

Remy, I knew you knew I was laughing, and I know you were just kidding. Also, like Susie mentioned I would be happy to help out too with sending.

Mellen, Are you sad that school has ended for the year? I remember my son cried when he couldn't stay in kindergarden another year. His teacher was just awesome, and yes, she still teaches. They watched Monarch Metamorphosis and of course watched baby ducks and chickens hatch. I think she is thinking of retiring in the next year; I know she will be missed.

Laura, that joke was so cute I've copied it down.

Susie, I'm glad the plants arrived. The Elegans does best in some good shade and it will really bring the blue out. I didn't get everything dug that I wanted to, but there is always another time.

When I got off work this morning it stormed, and rained so hard I had to pull over as I couldn't see anything in front of me. I called DH to see how bad it stormed there and he said the iris really took a beating. I'm hoping not too bad because I've missed what all bloomed since last Friday.

Time for Bed!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Marie,
Your patio is beautiful! What work! I want to do something similar in the back. How long did it take you?

My guess for the grass.. Pink paint brush grass, I wanted to order some from Park seeds and never had the chance! And I think the garden art is a football! My kids have plenty of those laying around! ;)

Deb

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Sorry to be away so long guys...trying to close out a school year. The grass has been guessed...Ruby Grass. Jeanne had an advantage in that I already sent her some (I think). Any Shirley is onto the other thing although it is not made of wood and not something you would normally consider garden art. If you can look closely at it, I think someone will guess what it is.
Theresa

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Thanks for all the 'atta girls' on my floor! and thoughts for my poor little froggy :)

Deb,
It went fairly quick as I already had the sand in place - about 3 hours for the 50 big ones and 1/2 hour or so for the scaloped edges.

LOL! I thought the "garden art" was the white object in the background. I thought the brown thing up front on the ground was was just a border! I'll guess it is a centipede : )

Marie,
I didn't see the pic last time I posted. Great job!! You are much too handy. Want to come help build my deck in July?

Shirley,
Lol, yes he cooks! He actually likes to cook. He is a good pie maker too. Most people are surprised by that one though since he looks like a retired linebacker.

Mellen and Theresa,
Summer break soon! I know you love the kids, but I'm sure you enjoy the time off.
Talk to you all later,
Remy

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Ah, yes. But it is the brown thing to the LEFT of the Ruby grass. Way in the back is a shed that is not a part of the garden.

-T

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I have never seen Ruby grass other than the "sheered" one that you sent me, Theresa, or I would have gotten that one sooner. LOL
Anther try at the "art" (which I don't have any idea what is there) - how about a plant marker with the name of the plant or one of those little garden signs that stick in the ground with a cute saying or picture on it?
I think after this guess I will give up.
Jeanne

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Hmmmm......it's not a basket or foot ball is it?

Carol, supposedley we don't get much rain at all here in the summer. But, we have just broken a record for the most consecutive days of rain in like 7yrs!
I don't have a rain barrel yet, but I did unpack all of the big plastic totes I have and put them outside! LOL
Pretty much all the rain does is turn the clay into a thick, nasty muck (which they call "gumby" here)

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

hi everyone. we are having some rather nice rain, light constant and sometimes misting then other times strong and powerful...we're under a tornado watch. so what else is new with this weather this year, it's absolutely nuts no matter what geographic area.

are we talking about the brown things to the right of the grass whihc look like upside down shoes/boots, or the brownish fat looking pot hidden on the left?

laura - the joke is too funny. i copied it as well.

i can vouch for gary cooking. he cooked for us when we visited and pretty much waited on us hand and foot. GOOD MAN!

my iris are done the horrendous rains beat the heck out of the peonies. roses are looking good and the lilies are starting. i think i have about a thousand or so mixed toad, asiatic, oriental, soon it should look grand. i've been lazy so far and have yet to take a picture of even one bloom.

well, i had some good news - there are two girls (sisters) that might be coming my way. i've had several calls about them, but seeing will be believing. as long as this process has taken, this is so quick! i have one more part of my study to complete and if everything lines up, i could be a new mom soon ;-) of course, i guess they'd have to meet me and see if i was worthy! i need to get a bigger house.

well, i'm off to dinner, hope everyone has a great night.

Basket/Ruby Grass?

Laura---I'm so proud...I found you an antique watering can.
The lady who sold it to me said she paid $35.00 for it at an antique store. She first asked $16.00 for it and then said I could have it for $8.00...Hope that is a good deal.
I will ship it to you when I ship your irises which will be tomorrow if I get up from here and finish digging.

Will post a picture tonight.

Theresa,
Lol, I couldn't even tell there was anything to the left of the grass!
Yes, I'm sending to Mellen. She said she'd take me again : )

Maryanne,
How exciting, getting closer to adopting!
All my irises are starting to bloom now. Most are for the first time so it is exciting. My Hansa rose started blooming yesterday. The peony buds are ready to burst. It is looking to be a good June. I sure hope I don't jinx myself.

Talk to you all later,
Remy

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa, I guess I didn't know that you were a teacher! Teachers like nurses are so important in our lives, both don't get the credit they deserve.

I must be blind, I can't see anyting left of the grass. I'm curious to know what it is.

Maryanne, I'm so happy for you! How exciting.

I'm ready for this week to end to see what iris are left blooming with all the wind and rain we've been getting.

I need a cup of coffee.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Deb wins it! Yeah, the funny thing is that with two boys, I don't have gazing balls in my garden. I always have a large variety of footballs, soccer balls, etc. This particular one is a football.

Okay, so Deb, I will send some Ruby Grass although it may not be hardy for you. It may reseed though. So I can also offer you for your northern garden a choice of burgundy Ajuga, Malva Zebrina, or Stokes Aster (Klaus Jelitto). Let me know and I will get it together to send out Monday along with the hand lotion.

Theresa

 o
RE: oops

Deb, I missed the post right before mine where you guessed football earlier :)

Yes, mellen, our kids finished up today too. My last day is tomorrow. It's been a tough year. I am switching from 4th grade to 6th grade next year. Sixth graders are tough but not as tough as 4th grade PARENTS!

Theresa

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Oh, Wow...I see it now! It surely is a football. I couldn't see anything before, that's why I didn't even venture a guess! LOL

I still need Anita's address. I am hoping that I can get up enough energy to get outside and get her box together sometime over the weekend.

I've had a few fainting spells & have been very weak & tired for a few weeks. Turns out I'm severly anemic, so I've been put on all kinds of iron supplements. Ugh!
But at least now I know what's going on, so I can *hopefully* start working on it & start feeling better. Oh, to have energy again! And not pass out every time I'm vertical! LOL

I hope everyone has a great week!

Melissa

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Well Melissa! There you are. I knew you would be in sooner or later. When you first started talking about being weak and tired I thought you were going to say you were pregnant! I hope you start feeling better soon! That can be horrible, I went through it last winter it was all I could do to go to work and then make dinner for my son when I got home. I was just completely exhausted all the time. Take those "horse pills" and get some rest, you'll start feeling better!

Vic

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Good morning Blooming Friends!
We have had a steady rain falling for the last 2 days. During one of the 'lighter' times last night - I went to take a quick peek at my plants -just before sunset, the sun broke through the clouds - and this is what greeted me on the south end of my house:
GOD'S Promise!!
GOD'S Promise - June 4, 2008
and with all the rain I still haven't had the chance to dispose of the old AC units in the back yard or finished the mowing but this is the Gazebo:
My Gazebo - 6/4/08
3 of the corners have roses planted & the one on the far left has a purple butterfly bush at the bottom of it. The vines to the right are grapes. There are iris, 2 hibiscus, flowering tobacco, an elephant bulb & angel trumpets planted around it.

The tree stump behind the bench is for my Gnome House that will be set up this weekend. With any luck I will be able to find enough stones to finish the walk way and figure something to put around the bare spots - maybe white rock or wood chips??? Depends on what is available this late in the 'fixer-up' season.

Marie, Love the Gazebo!! I had a rainbow the other day too, my 3yr old son spotted it, he was soooo excited!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Melissa, I hope you are starting to feel better. No wonder you were low on energy!
Susie, I suspect they are baby birds and good luck with them. I'll bet they will keep you busy.
Theresa, I could see the football once it was pointed out that it was to the left of the grass and once it was guessed, but it sure was hard to spot in that picture. You had a good contest going on!
Marie, you work too hard and make the rest of us look bad. LOL (Sorry...I'm teasing!)
Hope everyone else is doing well. Wish we could distribute the rain better. Way too much in some places and too little here and I think we hit over 100 degrees today. Haven't heard the official word.

Okay, Susie, I guess ducks - ducklings!
Jeanne

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Was it 3 ducklings??

Vic

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

2 baby ducklings would of been my first guess (Jeanne guessed it already). So, I'm going with 2 baby geese!
Geese can be so mean! When I was little, our neighbor had a goose named GOOSMA and that goose used to chase me every day when I came home from school and nip me on the behind! I would scream and run and it loved it! It would also sneak over and poop on my parent's steps and my Dad would cringe and try to clean up purple stuff that stained horribly! Childhood memories, ahhh.. LOL!

Deb

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

jeanne has part of it right :)) but no one has guessed how many yet :))) these are " MUSCOVY DUCKLINGS"

I will try to check back in later about 9pm if I can .

I have to take this time to sit back & get rested for the long day tomorrow .

have a great evening & keep guessing :)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I'm going to say 9 baby ducks!

Hi All,
What a couple of days! It was hot and we had our garage sale today. I spent all day yesterday getting ready, so I'm worn out, but all wound up. My arms got a bit of a burn today. I didn't realize how much sun I was getting this morn.
People are cheap! I was offering really good prices(like a brand new purse for $2) and they were still being picky, lol. Well, at least not with the plants. I was offering $1 for small pots and $3 for large, and no one tried to bargain, they just paid.
Oh and I got a nice compliment when a lady buying plants said to her husband about how much nicer my garden looked than hers.

Susie,
Those ducks are so cute!!!

Deb,
Lol, about your evil goose. Geese are mean!
Remy

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Susie,
Your babies are adorable? What happened to the mom? Do you know?

Remy,
Yes, I know what you mean about ppl at yard sales! When I had my moving sale I had a box of 25 cent stuff, and I had ppl argue over that. What a deal on the plants! Wish I was in your neighborhood!

Vic

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Nothing happened to the mom the lady I got them from raises them & Ducklings Unlike Birds can eat on their own as soon as they are hatched . just like baby chicks .

OK So As for the swap Not as Many showed as said they were going to be there Mostly Unpredictiable weather BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL . & Gas prices but I think many thought it was going to be hot & muggy when in fact we were in the shade & the wind came up a few times :(
& Blew things around :)

there was proble 10 of the DG & GW members & then
maybe 15-20 from around the area a few stopped to know if they could buy plants :)

Small Group but I will just say this :) I was not at all disappointed these guy's & gal's were really & trully
great Folks & I think My Sister was very Impressed For she ended up with more plants then she had room for & for the 1st time really could not speak she was in awe:)

We had a wonderful picnic lunch together with great food.
& then it was time to share I took a trailer full of plants & believe it or not I only came home with maybe 40-50 plants have not counted yet :)))

As for pictures I forgot my cam but wigglypaw Had her's & so as soon as she sends them to me I will send you the link for them .

Got a big mess out on the deck had another heavy rain & high winds last night many of my plants got dumped over so I have much to clean up & get my new plants in the ground :)

Have a great day Shirley & Marie I will try to work on your boxes today & get them out tomorrow :)

I'm glad you had a good day at the swap, I've never been to one and hope I can find one in my area (well, maybe for next yr when I can take some things with me to swap LOL)
I think it would be fun to meet some GW ppl in person!

We had my son's 3rd b-day party today! He just loved it, I think he thought it was Christmas again!

Have a nice day/night everyone!

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

HI everyone. Sorry to be away awhile. I had some family up from Alabama and they stayed a bit longer than expected. They were scheduled to leave Thursday but then they stayed a few extra days. Ahhh. Tomorrow my bestest girl-friend is coming up from Peoria for the night. She is originally from MI. But then moved out of state when she got married. I am so excited to see her, as well as we are going to see Sex and the City which we both swore we wouldn't see without each other. When we were in under-grad school we would always get together to watch it and then laugh til we almost peed our pants at how silly their lives were. So needless to say I am very excited to see it.

Shirley~
Please email me and tell me how much for postage and what I owe you for that AWESOME watering can. I can't believe you found one. While my family was in town we went to two estate sales and a gizillion garage sales and I wasn't very lucky at finding anything good. But my Uncle (he's a spry 80) found a ton. It was great we had a nice time.
The weather here has been awful. We had huge thunderstorms and high winds the last two days. Our neighbors tree fell (near my pumpkins, thank goodness it was a miss).
For those of you who don't know, my dad and I get into a friendly family match to see who can grow the biggest pumpkin. We buy the seeds from Don Lavengine (sp) and pay a small fortune for about 5 seeds per pack. So this year I assumed it ws going to be a warm summer like last year (early). So I started the seeds the end April, they were up adn 6 leaves by Mother's day, gave themto my dad and I kept one well the very next night FROST!!! So I started a second set, gave them to him and then RABBITS! AHHH so then I had to revert to desp. measures, I had to pull some of my Atlantic Dill seeds from my previous pumpkins. So needless to say we have three heavy hitters (they were over 1000 lbs) and the rest are Atlantic Dill seeds. Even though I am of course rooting for myself, I told my father I would give him my full bin of rotted compost to get him going. My pumpkins don't get as much light as his and even though my last years guy was big (275) he beat me with all his sunlight with a whopping 400 pounder. So this year our goal for his place is to get a 600 pounder so Max can fit into it. I know we can do it, I hope. I am hoping that my composted leaves from last fall and all the grass clippings will get him up in that range. Besides the fact that as the pumpkins (1 per vine) mature they take 155 gal. of water per plant per day!! Isn't that insane. Well off my pumpkin soap box.
I can't wait to see what you all do with your gardens. This year I have swore to improve my front bed, but I am just not sure what the heck it needs. I think I am going to try to get some Monarda off the plant exchange and try to go from light pink to red and scarlet and make it kinda progressive. Then look for something in a cool bright yellow color just to throw it all out of whack.
Well I guess I have kept you all long enough. I hope you are all well and that your gardens are growing well.
PS.
Remy did everything take?

Laura

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Hi Girls! I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Boy, I wish I was Remy's neighbor!! Wow, I'd love to take advantage of your yardsale plants. :O)

Laura....don't feel too badly about the pumpkins....I keep forgetting to plant mine! My 4 year old reminds me every day, though...so maybe better late than never, as far as she's concerned! LOL The girl planted green beans in the drive way, though. So now, she has traffic cones around her seedlings, mapping where we can drive & where we can't. WHY she planted them there, I have NO idea. :O)

I'm s-l-o-w-l-y getting Anita's box together. I will have it out sometime this week, I hope to dig the plants tomorrow. Well, I'll probably point my 11 year old in the general direction of the plants, tell him which ones to dig and let HIM do the work. LOL He's a good kid, he loves helping me out & gardening to boot! :O)

I'm *very* slowly getting some energy back. I was able to walk around in the yard for a few minutes today. It left me weak and feeling like I'd run a 20 mile marathon....but I at least got to see the flowers that have opened up this week & take a few pictures.
Yeech, I will be SOOOOO glad when I'm feeling normal again. This is the pits.

Have a good Monday, everyone!
Melissa

Hi All,
Sometimes men can be such babies! Gary tried to back out of doing the garage sale on Sunday by himself. I had to go to work. "I don't know how much anything is,""I don't know about the plants," etc. Geesh! You make up prices, and I wrote info on the plant tags. If someone needs more info, they can call me or stop by again, lol. Anyway, he survived just fine, and sold plants without me, lol.

Susie,
It sounds like your swap was quite the success! "I only came home with maybe 40-50 plants" LOL!

Vic,
It is fun meeting people from GW. Our annual swap here is lots of fun. My tomato party has GWers too. And of course Maryanne came to Niagara Falls and visited me. It was wonderful to meet her.
Lol about the 25 cent box!

Laura,
You've been busy! Seeing youru friend will be lots of fun.
I think it is so nice that you and your father have the pumpkin growing competition going. If my dad lived up here we would probably be doing the same with tomatoes or something : )
The plants are doing good. I potted most of them like I always do, but some I already planted. In fact I was checking on a couple yesterday evening because of the heat!! we've had. Everything is good so far.

Melissa,
I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. I used to be anemic so I know how you feel.
You (and Vic) are always welcome to stop by for plants. I know its a long drive, lol.
Too funny! about your daughter and the beans. When my sis-in-law's kids do odd things, I have fun reminding her that they are her kids : )

My roses are starting to bloom, and I posted on Antique Rose Gallery this morning, but I know most of you don't venture there so the link is below.
Have a good day everyone,

Oops. Posted to the wrong thread. I meant to post here:

Gorgeous blooms Remy. Thanks for sharing.

Okay. New contest related to cleaning products (since we're getting so dirty :)
The summer after I graduated high school(21 years ago!) I worked a job at a cleaning service so I'd have money to spend while away at college. There was a particular product we used often and has it's own unique scent that brings me back to that time. Nothing else smells like it. It is a product that is still around but may be considered old-fashioned. (There's probably better products out now) For a pair of pink "super soft" slippers to relax in after a hard day in the garden, what is this product?

Sheesh, I've not been able to get on to GW at all over the week-end. We've had storms and it has rained since I came home Friday.

I'm going to say Lysol.

I was going to post a game when I came home Friday but I couldn't due to the fact I could not get on here. Can I still post it while another game is going? I don't want to step on any toes.

Shirley, I'm going get you box dug this week both the swap and our trade, and they will be coming in two different boxes. I'm sure I don't have a box to fit all of it into one.

Susie, your new babies are cute, cute, cute! post more pics as they grow.

LMK about posting another game please.
LIFE IS GOOD,
Annie

 o
and!!!!

Wow Laura! 155 gals water daily for each plant! My water bill would be over and beyond. Good luck with your adventure.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Cleaning product guess - Mr. Clean.
Remy, your roses are gorgeous!
Melissa, I hope you feel lots better really soon. Being so tired has got to be rough.
Susie, sounds like fun at the plant swap. We had two that I know of in SC but they were several years ago. I hope sometime someone puts together another one.

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Posting this for Susie, She called me on her cell, she is going to be without power for a few days & wanted Shirley & wynative to know she has to wait till power is back on at the PO to ship, Please keep her in our prayers as they are having bad storms.

Melissa,
I'm not a fussy person, I just don't care for real invasive things, as I only have so much room :) Sorry to be MIA, if you still need my info, Please E-mail me at NYVOICES99@aol.com & I'll send it on to you, again sorry, I just have been crazy busy.

Remy,
Will let you know when I can ship, I did not count on the 100 degree weather here:(Anita

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Hi ladies
HEHEHEHE Our power is back I think they heard me cussing them ::)) we got it back about an hour ago & don't know how long it will be back on our whole town was shut down since 7pm last night :( they said it would be late tuesday or noon weds before they would be back on so we really got lucky . for there are still many without power. I hate being without the computer .

anyway To shirly & marie I did not dig your plants today for our post office was closed & I was busy tring to clean out 200 lbs of beef from my freezers over to my sisters place where they had power , now I hope we get it all back :))
but going to wait till all these storms & rains are over
so many floods in our areas roads colasped fields flooded.
& more coming in tonight .

I will do my best to get the boxes out soon .

thank you anita & I will post as soon as I have the boxes ready to go out .

marie it would really help to know how big of an area you are redoing & type of plants you might like to put in it so if you could email me it will help me much :)

susie

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Susie, I know what that's like. A couple years ago we lost power for a week TWICE in a month due to hurricanes. Not only was it HOT but we lost all our fridge and freezer contents TWICE! That gets expensive. You take care up there.

No, not lysol or pine sol.

Deb, your package went out today priority. I will post DC tomorrow when I have it handy.

Theresa

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa, how about vinegar water and newspaper for doing windows? I still use it.

Susie, I'm glad to hear you got your power back! So many bad storms this spring.

Bunny, I'm glad you are feeling better.

LIFE IS GOOD,
Annie

Theresa,
This is a tough question. I'm drawing a blank when it comes to a cleaning product with a unique scent. I'm going to guess Murphy's Oil Soap.

Susie,
Glad your power is back. It sounds really bad where you are. I hope the bad weather passes soon.

Anita,
Not to worry. It was so hot here too. I went to the nursery to buy coir for planters I was making. They have a huge roll that you cut your own. I actually broke out in a terrible sweat just from cutting it!

Mellen,
Hopefully the weather gets more normal next week, and I can send then.

Annie,
Cleaning windows with vinegar and newspaper gives me horrible memories of cleaning my grandmother's windows, lol. She had a lot of windows!

Melissa,
My secret is to do almost nothing to the roses except prune, lol. I do pamper them when first planted, but after that, they are on their own. If one looks a bit sad, I will add compost or fertilize, but that isn't very often. I used to spray organically for bugs, but I don't even do that much anymore since I have lots of other plants grow up, I've had less problems.
Have a good night everyone,
Remy

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Hmm...never heard about vinegar water and newspaper. So the newspaper becomes the cloth?

Please, northerners, send some of that rain down here.

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Wow, this is difficult. LOL
How about Clorox Bleach? Certainly nothing smells like that! :O)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Remy,
Those are Beautiful!!!! I'll have to put them on my list of what to get when I come visit!

Theresa,
I would love to send you some rain! The weather man said tonight "guess what, 0.0" of rain today!" He spoke too soon! It's raining, again.

Vic

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

not bleach but it is a liquid.

:)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

20 MULE TEAM BORAX'S OR ARM & HAMMER :)

SUSIE

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Melissa ~ your package went out yesterday, conformation#0308 0070 0001 1439 4727. Glad to hear that you are starting to feel better! I have been anemic most all my life but One a Days with Iron work well, until it gets REALLY hot then I just take 2 for a couple days.

Susie - no rush on my end!

I was gave 43 tomato plants that need lots of TLC on Sunday. I am still trying to find space for them all and have places for a few peppers. They are all expermental/new breeds, from the names I am very curious on what they will look like!

This is the last of my Iris to bloom - Peach Fantasy
Peach Fantasy

I found the name for this one - Galactic Gold
Pretty Iris

And the Bumble Bee's really like my hanging plants
Bumble Bee

RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

no correct answer yet. Hmmm....how can I give a hint?

They had quite a catchy jingle that was in there TV ads that played pretty frequently for awhile in the 80's.

keep guessing!

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

I tried Mr. Clean several posts back... okay - only other jingle I can think of is Spick and Span.
Jeanne

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Ok, I was thinking...I like LIQUID when I clean...so then I thought, well....Seagram's wine coolers had a neat commercial back in the day! (with Bruce Willis....growl! ) LOL
Hmmm...but then, that's probably not what liquid ya'll used, huh? :O)

Does anyone remember the Tollhouse morsel commercial? (don't eat all the morsels or your cookie will be bald...UGH!!) LOL

Maybe Scrubbing Bubbles, then? Does that count as a liquid? :O)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

My last guess... I kept trying to think of TV jingles.
Is it Lestoil?
Jeanne

 o

I'm going to start digging Shirley's plants today. I believe I have a few things she does not already have. :O) :O)

Lol, about all the guesses. I can't think of a catchy jingle except now I have Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean running through my head! I don't remember a jingle, but I'll guess Formula 409. Or how bout Comet?
Comet, it makes your teeth turn green.
Comet, it makes your mother scream.
Comet, it'll make you vomit.
So try some comet and vomit today!
Lol, memories from the school bus : )

Carol,
I've never grown Caspian Pink, lol.

Annie,
I will guess 17 years, the same amount as I've been married.
Remy

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Wednesday

LOL! Remy! You brought back some memories! Except we'd say (instead of "makes your mother scream") Comet- It tastes like gasoline! LOL Oh, boy.....That was worse than...well, I won't go there. We had some pretty good "jingles" we'd sing on the bus. Even our bus driver would join in! :O)

Annie~ I will guess 8 years.

Melissa

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Annie - I will guess 13 - my daughter age :)

Beautiful Iris!

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Okay, the jingle starts like this....

"I've been using...."

-T

 o
RE: also

Also, the company says it is over 100 years old.

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Carol, no I did not send one to Shirley. Susie sent me one and I filled it out and sent it back to her last month.

Melissa, Thanks for the diet tip of the day!! At least that would be one diet I could stick too!

Vic

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Anita's box is going out today, DC# 03061070000429753386
It's not much, but I do hope you enjoy it Anita! :O)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa, how about Stanley degreaser? Hmm or was it fuller brush?

Mom used to always use degreaser, she also always told me grease would take out grease. I remember her putting lard on my brother's shirts when he was working on the cars. This would get the oil stains out.

Ladies, for my contest, the number of years are too low. Try again.

Back out to dig like a gopher.
LIFE IS GOOD,

Wednesday

Annie, how about 22 years?

I received my box from Marie today! This was probably one of the most thoughtful boxes I've received. :O) I think She knew that since I'm not feeling well, I probably wouldn't want to plant a bunch of things (which I really dreaded, BTW! lol)
So I was tickled to death to find 3 things in the box, and each was chosen with alot of thought, I could tell.
She sent a bouquet of "Daisy" Lollipops for the kiddos, a pink Clematis (Nelly Moser) for the baby, and a mini red rose (Karina) for me!

Thank you SO MUCH, Marie! I could not have been happier with my box!
Thank you

Melissa

 o
Quiz

T~ What about Fantastik or Vanish? I honestly cannot think of any other cleaners! Maybe that tells you just how much I DON'T clean? :O)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Melissa, how much YOU don't clean.......notice I haven't even taken a guess! LOL
BTW, I never did find out when you are due!!
Vic

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

The baby will be here between Thanksgiving & Christmas. LOL That's how much we've narrowed it down! Seriously, the new date is November 25th, but my last 3 have all been 2-3 weeks overdue, so I honestly don't expect this one until mid-December.
We had an original due date of December 15th, but that isn't lining up with how big I'm measuring, the baby's length..etc. So, we think that back at the first of March when I had the miscariage, that it was possibly twins...and I only lost one.
My midwife says that there is no way to know for sure (I refuse any invasive tests beyond ultrasound), so we'll just see when this one decides to pop out. If it's earlier, then we know. The only thing we know for sure is that it doesn't have a winkie. LOL
It'll be my luck that I'll carry PAST Christmas....I seem to have the gestation period of an elephant. UGH. LOL

Okay...was that TMI?? :O)

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Melissa,

Wow, I'm sorry for your miscarriage. I didn't know about that. I'm sure if that is the case about the twin then it will come with mixed emotions for you. And I hope you don't deliver late. My last child came 2 weeks late and only because doc broke water for me. I have a friend that is currently one week past due date. Oh how I empathize with her. It is SO hard. I remember going to an all-you-can-eat mexican place to eat a bunch of spicy food thinking that would bring on labor. But all it did was make me throw up all night! YUK!
And he was due in December as well. Of course hubby was hoping for another tax deduction on the next filing so he wanted things hurried along :) My best wishes for you during this pregnancy.

No one has guessed the cleaning product yet. Another hint: the color of this cleaning product is in the yellow/goldish family.

Theresa

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

Theresa, how about Scott's Liquid Gold?

BUNNY IS THE WINNER

Melissa, I will get it out to you tomorrow, and isn't it amazing what our bodies can do and endure?

I came in for a break, but I think I got Shirley's box all dug. I will take one last run through the yard to see what else I might add before packing it all up.

LIFE IS GOOD,
Annie

 o
RE: new: obf june swap - gettin' dirty!

A yellow cleaning product, Theresa? Eeewww. LOL :O) I can't think of one that hasn't already been guessed, and it grosses me out too much to even think about. Brings to mind all the "pee in the cup" episodes I've endured lately. Blech. :O)

Annie, Really? Yay! Wow, that was a shot in the dark. That's alot of nights!! :O)

I hope everyone is having a good day! I'm taking a break & sitting on my rump today (well, mostly...I had to tackle 3 loads of laundry first). Yay for a computer area with AC!! :O)
