| Just bought our home on four acres.I don't have alot of plants so the sky is really the limit.Will be thrilled with what ever I get! Would like things that attract hummingbirds & butterflies. Prefer sunlovers as I don't have alot of shade.Love iris , daylilies,cannas,ANY HOLLYHOCK SEEDS! We have a steep hill that would like to have a type of groundcover on . Just no ivy or KUDZU!!! LOL!!Starting to collect mints.Want to do color gardens,black is the first one up,so anything black.If you have something that repels 8 month old golden mix puppy   from chewing what plants I do have to the ground that would be WONDERFUL!!!! I have stella and ditch lily, I would love any others that didn't have the same color as them! red, pink, purple, etc. *Gaillardia fanfare arizona sun burgandy goblin *Hosta - any type other than white and green varigated (have those) *Hummer & Butterfly attractants *seeds *plant markers *anything to do with bird feeding *garden "stuff" ornaments etc. Pretty much anything!!

| Hey Mary Ellen! Nice to meet you! Oh how I love Austin. I have not been there in years. Yes, it does get very hot here...and we do not really have a "winter". I don't have to dig anything up in the winter, so that is a plus. I did some reading on hostas and some of them go up to zone 9, which I am in. I have also seen them for sale at the local nursuries. Seeds, cuttings, plants. Love vines, many common things! Have shade and sun so doesn't matter. Just that someone took the time to send is special to me. | Oh, Remy you have it easy! Anything hardy to zone 9/10, I will take. Along with any and all veggie seeds. That's my big project right now. But I have a lot of things I sure want to do! lol I will only be out in my garden in this heat either 5-6AM or after 7pm. We're in the 110's here this week. The wind starts blowing and I swear it feels like you have a blowdryer in your face. It's interesting to see what other's are growing around the country. I'm starting to notice that many other of your summer flowers, we grow here in Feb! LOL |

| Hi Vic!! Sorry I'm slow in posting here. Glad to be swapping with you. Also funny cuz DH and DS are named Vic. Well, my trade page is fairly accurate although not 100%. Let me know if there are any specifics I have listed under "haves" that you would like. If I still have it, then I will send it along with maybe a few things I don't have listed yet. As far as my wants, I am not picky as my page might indicate. I love pastel colors. Also, since you are in the north there are so many things up there that are very common in the box stores (meijers...gosh I miss that store) that are just not available here. I wish I could be more specific than that but I just remember the last time I was in Michigan in summer I wanted to take the whole Meijers garden section home with me but I figured the airlines would get a bit upset :) It's funny that you will be away the last week in July because I will too and I will be up your way, lol! Staying with parents in Linden for my 20th HS reunion in Northville. OH, one thing I don't have on my list yet that I would like to get into is scented geraniums. Don't know if those are common up there or not....my last few trips to Michigan were in the dead of winter. Anyway, I'm sure I will be happy with whatever you send. Theresa |

My question is: Should I try to get them to grow roots before I send them...OR...Should I send "fresh" cuttings dipped in the hormone? I've never done this before and would appreciate any input. | Love & miss Meijers here also. Lived in Redford, Michigan for 5 years before moving back South.About the only thing I miss from the frozen tundra of MI.Other than the refund you get if something rings up more than it's marked on the shelf. Loved when that happened!! You got it free plus money back. I thought the customer service lady had flipped out when she gave me money back & item for free.LOL! |

| Dirt, I only have two, but have done a lot of traveling with them from a very young age...it will be ok, just take some NEW coloring books or something NEW that they havent seen..something I did on a LONG trip was wrap up a few small items and put them into my carry on, then as they got cranky I would pull out something NEW to open( from dollar store)...it worked it made the trip much easier..( just dont tell them there are more in the bag...LOL) Have a great reunion..mine is next week, wont be making it. |

| Thanks! They take after me! HA HA! For the 4th we will throw something on the grill,have cold pasta salad,baked beans,and some kind of cold dessert. I want to get ice cream churn for homemade ice cream. At dark we will shoot off fireworks. The 2 oldest love them.Not sure what the baby will do. Scream most likely if she's not asleep by then.Lucky for me she sleeps though most noises. We had a toad strangler of a storm last night. It washed out some of the topsoil from my beds.Lots of thunder & lightning. |

| nutty bunny, I received a great box from you today 2 brodiea bulbs, green gloves a mock orange, rose of sharon, yellow varigated hosta cuttings. roooted dianthus, a large hosta. they are all soaking in a bucket of water, rooted ones looking pretty good cuttings a bit sad. packed well, just too hot. | Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I was interested in joining your group after this swap...that is, if Remy is happy with me after I've sent my pathetic box full of common plants :)You all seem wonderful and I would love to become a part of the great energy here. I'll try to borrow my husband's camera to give you all a sense of what my gardening space is like. Unfortunately, we don't have any kids or grandkids to show off, but we do have two very ill-mannered cats :) Anyway, we live in Ithaca NY--sort of central/western NY and I go to grad school and my husband has a computer business. Gardening has become a passion for me. The soil here is so much better than in Montana, where I'm from. Plus we actually get rain out here, which to me is still a minor miracle. My family on my mom's side in Montana are wheat farmers, and they have had a drought for EIGHT years now. Needless to say, they are jealous of all the rain I get out here in the East. | Hello Everyone! I got back from Iowa today, and had such a nice time. I have to work tonight, have a cpr class to go to Tuesday morning(I love it when they say meetings are manditory)THen I will be off till Friday night. Dirt, your kids are sooooo cute. I will be looking for your package, and I will be digging yours Wed and Thurs. I will mail it Friday and you should get it no later than Monday. Sure has been hot and dry here, but we did get a much needed shower today. I had to have my car towed;the front brakes are out and it needs new ball joints. (I was thinking, WOW I wonder how many plants I could have bought instead) :O) :O) I hope everyone is well, and staying cool. LIFE IS GOOD, |

| Dirt you crack me up! My sons are the same way... I swear I must do 15 loads of laundry...AT LEAST. HAH, even more now, we're potty training the 2yr old. So far we've gotten him to go IN the bathroom...just not on the toilet. Oh boy, thats been some messes!!! LOL Other than that, all good on the home front. Sue and I will be exchanging boxes this weekend. Have a great week everyone! |

| Hello everyone! Carol, I had heard from Renepp and she had some computer problems! So Suzie already mailed to both of hers and renepp thought she was mailing to me! Now she says she guesses she can't because she got an email that said I already had another partner. I would still like to keep her as mine if possible! We had it all figured out I thought. | BOY! AM I SPECIAL OR WHAT? I GOT MY BOX FROM April/Dirt under my nails. and boy that girl knows how to pack a box In the box was not one bird feeder but two! One for peanuts or sunflower seeds and another to hang on the window.(My kitties love you for this, and the birdies too) Three Daylilies, DArius, King Lamoni, and Fairtale Pink. Echinacea- Tennessensis Dianthus- Tiny Rubies A Loyal Garden Pet that is soooo cute, and will be a welcome site in the hosta garden ( I hope he likes to eat slugs) IT states that he/she has a happy go lucky nature, is used to children, Not to boisterous and not prone to straying. Some pretty note cards and envelopes. I hope I am not forgetting anything, and I will post pictures later today. April is a keeper in my book, she may be a newbie, but boy can she pack a box. She did a great job in packing her plants, not a single plant was wilted or stressed. April, I do hope you like the box I sent you as much as I am enjoying your gifts to me. I'm looking forward to you being in our group, (YES,YES,YES) and trading with you in the future. I will take pics and post them soon. LIFE IS GOOD, |
