| Hey All,
This month's Incredible Heirloom's Swap is Summer Spice!! Why don't we all add a little spice and excitement to our lives and a little flavor to our dishes! The idea behind this swap is to enjoy some heat, spice, or flavor explosions.
Please give your partner the equivilant of 5-6 full pack of seeds. More can be sent, if you and your partner agree to send more. And it is always ok to sample some of the seeds out of a freshly bought packet yourself, just make sure you send your partner enough seeds to get a good crop. And feel free to add a spicy favorite recipe if you would like. Sign Ups will be until July 20th. Then on the 21st I will post Partners!
If you have any questions, dont hesitate to ask :) I am totally stoked about being back and swapping again...spice is very nice!
Donna :) |

| Hi Donna, and welcome back! I haven't been able to swap much the past couple of months either, just too much going on, and it does feel good to be back again. So if we love flavorful foods, fresh herbs and spices, but can't handle hot peppers, can we still participate? If so, sign me up. Bonnie |
| You can absolutely still sign up Bonnie...just let your partner know that hot peppers are a no for you ....and welcome aboard to you and Becky too :-) |
| So far, so good. Right now our little group consists of: Dont be shy folks!! Come on in and sign on up :-) |

| I am thinking about it. Although I love spicy stuff, my stomach does not, so unfortunately, I can't eat the spicy type foods. But the swap is tempting,,,, Christy |

| Christy, I'm not necessarily thinking of spicy food, but the things that add lots of flavor lots punch to your food. Yeah, hot peppers are a big one (No I haven't lots my mind. I still love hot peppers). However, I'm also thinking: cilantro basil oregano marjoram cumin onions leeks chives scallions Lemon grass /lemon balm mint ginger horseradish radish arugula watercress nasturtiums tarragon It's anything that can pack a punch of flavor. |
| Exactly what Becky said!! Flavor is the key :-) (heat is nice....but not for everyone ) |
| C'mon Christy...you know you want to sign up. I could partner you up with Bonnie as she doesn't do Hot Peppers either....c'mon that would be so perfect! Please dont make me beg......although I will if that's what it takes LOL!!! |

| I am going to keep sign ups open another few days , as I am hoping to get just one more participant so we will have two pairs of swappers :) C'mon folks, no need to be shy....and no need to fear the chile peppers. Summer Spice can be anything that adds flavor, so no need to swap the hot stuff if you dont use them :) |
| Sign me up please. Patti |

| Inquiring minds want to know! Are you a hot pepper person? And if so, how much heat can you stand? As for me, I'm a hot pepper person! The highest heat I can stand are Habaneros. I grew Naga Jolokias last year and they were too much for me! This year I'm trying to grow Chocolate Habs, White Habs, Caribbean Red, & Jamaica Reds as my hottest peppers. Despite this, I am not a heat freak. I like there to be good flavor behind the pepper! |

| Oh my, I have been a bad girl...not checking in to GW enough. I am in on this one!! LOVE...LOVE hot peppers...the more heat, the better...Love herbs...Love flavor and spice in my food!!!!!!! Thanks for hosting.... Annie |
| I like hot peppers....but I am not up to the Habeneros yet...LOL!! I like Cayennes and Lemon Drops and this one Spanish type that I am not sure what it really is. My son on the other hand is training himself to be a chili head. He now puts hot sauce on about everything he eats.So I am growing some White Habs for him this season...and will maybe do some Nagas for him along with some Orange Habs and Chile de Arbol next season. |

| Okay, I'm the wimp in the group! Even a Jalapeno seems hot to me, but don't get the impression that I don't like peppers. I'm growing 14 different kinds of peppers, and harvested my first two today - a Revolution bell, and a Healthy sweet pepper. I am growing a couple of mildy hot peppers to use for making homemade salsa - Pizza, and Senorita. Last year, I used Fooled You Jalapenos for the salsa, and I decided I needed a little more kick than that. Okay, I'm probably a total gardening nerd for taking a picture of them, but it helps me keep track of harvest dates. Bonnie |
| I love peppers also. I am growing 18 different kinds this year. Growing Tepin, Red Habanero, Aji Yellow, Fresno, Maui Purple and Jalapeno for my hots. Patti |
| Oh Bonnie...that plate of veggies is gorgeous!! I love big luscious Sweet Bell type peppers, but I cant grow them because of the Pepper Maggots. I am going to try growing peppers that they dont like for the next few years and hope the flies that they are from forget about my yard LOL! |
| I am adding on Canyonwind...I would have done it yesterday, but for some reason I didnt see her post ...what's wrong with me lately ,must be the fresh cherry tomatoes messing with my head LOL! So...with the addition of Annie, we now have an even number again and sign-ups are CLOSED :-) I will post partners later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks ALL |
| Here is the list of partners. And a few things to go over: booberry85/Becky-reynal1 Happy Swapping to All....I can't wait for y'all to post what you got!! :) |

| There's a Colorado River bean? Hey, how come I've never heard of this one, LOL?! Got any info on it? Bonnie |
| Only that it is a drying bean...I guess that means you eat it when it is in the bean stage like for baked beans or soup, and not as a snap bean. :) |
