I got this seed in a round robin last winter. Got good germination, but they are not roses. Some kind of shrub, hibiscus maybe? Leaves are light green, heart shaped with a serated edge. Sound familiar to anyone?

clc70, confederate rose is hibiscus family. It does grow like a tree/shrub. Very pretty when blooming. Hope this helps. you can google it and get more info on it.

It's Hibiscus mutabilis. Common names alone on seed packets can be very confusing, but your new shrub should be hardy in your zone and very pretty.
