    Tracy, I got reprimanded last time I posted numbers, so I just started the thread since I was somewhat responsible for using up the last one. That's why I chose not to post any numbers. And the only thing I get hopped up on is caffeine, so don't expect too much excitement. I was having fun!

    Shirley, is it Mervin (my dad's name)

    ptilda, I've been sleeping so I'm clueless, and no you are not excused from the game!

    SPIDER GAMES!!! BTW, stomping my feet, throwing myself on the floor, kicking and yelling. I can't believe you guys played spider games and didn't wake me up! LOL

    Shirley I will have to see if I have something that will catch your eye for some of your spiders. Or I can go visit your e-bay site. (send me the link please).

    HELLO AGAIN TO EVERYONE!

    Slamming the screen door as I'm walking out! Playing spider games without me. Now that is just a SIN! I'M GOING TO WORK!

    Lisa, thank you for posting that. I had to go back and check which boxes I was allowed to steal. I wasn't sure since everyone has been taking my boxes so much lately! I choose box 2!

    Karen, give me Lisa's box.

    Ptilda, I will speak to you off list in a while. I wish to get my thoughts down succinctly. In the meantime we will play on. If anyone else wishes to express themselves then it is their right to do so.

    You just keep thinking about it! LOL

    Lisa! you are still here!

    Tracy, go ahead and pick now.....

    Ptilda, there was a comment you made to Lisa that was a bit snippy, I don't remember exactly what it was and am not going back through all the posts to find it. And you are right, im/text doesn't always show emotion, and may have been taken wrong. Also, there were a couple hints to slow down and give others a chance to guess, because we can't always be here at the same time we would usually guess a few times and give others time to check in and guess also, not use a whole thread with guesses. If Tracy wants to add to that she may. I really need to get Zack to bed, it's 9:20 here and he is still up and no nap today, it's going to be hell in the morning! : ( I hate those mornings....

    Oh, Lisa, I'm glad you have your graff, I have no clue as to who has had it how many times and which box has been choosen most! LOL I just know Sassy chose my box so that no one would take it from her! hehe

    Ok Ladies, night night. I felt much better today, but my throat is still killing me, only one more week and I get to go to a Dr! Geesh, what a joke.

    Shirley, would you mind emailing me your ebay info please, would love to get my hands on some spiders!

    Now I know it's quite premature to post these pictures, as my project is a long way from finished. However, I'm excited about my progress and I'm thinking that a group of gardens will be able to see the "potential" here. LOL!

    While you guys have been playing this week, I started work on installing a sidewalk between the end of the house and the new garage. The space is only about 8 ft. wide so my vision is to install this 4' wide walk and then (maybe next year) plant the sides with small hosta and similar sized plants. The walk in the picture is about 15' long. When finished, it there will be about 10' more walk at the 4' width and then it will widen into a "patio" of sorts for another 10-12'.

    {{gwi:1284235}}

    We had a horrid rain yesterday that washed out some of my edge pavers before I got soil packed in around them but that's okay. It won't take long to get back on track.

    And, here is a picture of the gate I built last year with a plan to install it across the sidewalk, between the house and garage.

    {{gwi:1284236}}

    One year soon, I'll be caught up with those of you who have nearly perfected your gardens. For now, I'm still installing structural elements.

    Sure, Carmen! C'mon up! BUT you do have to promise to do some of the work, at least some planting or mulching or drink-fetching! LOL!

    I posted the pic because I'm excited to see how the color mix is working out. We first used some of those pavers near the driveway a few years ago. The Unilock brochure showed a pic using Sandstone/Limestone mix but I could only get the sandstone color locally. So, we used them and they were nice but I REALLY wanted the color mix. For this project I was able to get the limestone to mix in but then I was nervous about how to do it. (You know alternating tan and grey or 2 tan one grey or...) Finally, I decided just to put them down however I picked them up and I LOVE the colors. It's working out as well as I could have hoped for.

    I'm even enthused enough to get back out there and do some work this morning. So, I guess I'd better get to it.

    When the grass dries enough, I have to mow today. It's a chore I dread because it takes a little over 6 hrs. That's just too much grass!

    I have one more picture that I want to post. This is the rain barrel that I talked about a month or two ago. It's fairly large but I thought (and still think) that tucked in amongst the Limelight Hydrangeas (l) and the Arrowwood Viburnum (r) the scale is going to be just fine! (I cut the shrubs back severely this spring because they've been growing like weeds! By next year they'll be crowding the rain barrel again.)
