UPDATE: End-of-Summer Perennial Exchange Spectacular! (part 2)

dan_the_mailman

Here's our new thread! And here are the rules again...

The rules are simple for this one. Here they are...

1. I'm defining perennials as anything that will be back again next summer. This could include, bulbs, bushes, trees, vines, and of course perennials.

2. Post what you have to give away. Please include the type of plant, number of trades, and any other pertinent information you can think of.

3. When you see something you'd like, request it.

4. Keep track of who you are sending plants to.

5. Send your trades to me by priority mail in time for them to arrive by August 31st. Include with your trades the following... what you are sending, who they are for, and enough postage to mail back to you your package of what you've requested. DO NOT SEND ME ANY MONEY PLEASE. Stamps will work out just fine, and if there are extras I will include them with your return package.

6. I will begin sorting as soon as packages start arriving, and will mail them all back out by September 5th.

7. If you haven't done so already, please e-mail me before August 24th. On that date, I will do a mass e-mail and send you my address for you to use.

And now, let the fun continue...!

Brandy, I knew you'd end up here! LOL! BTW, that rose bud opened up today, very nice! They're still in the pot at the end of the driveway, looking quite elegant I might add! (insert chuckle here) They're going into the ground this weekend. Thank You!

Purpleclover, if there is any left, could I have some of the lamb's ear and artemesia 'limelight' please? I see a nice little patch of lamb's ear in the future...

Flowersareforme, good to see you feeling better today!

ONE MORE WEEK OF TRADING, & THEN IT'S DIGGING/SHIPPING TIME! YAY!!!!!
THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS SUCH A SUCCESS!!! IT'S BEEN A BLAST SO FAR!!!

    Dan,
You could be kidding yourself. Seeds don't like me much, but I started the lamb's ear from seed.

It has very generously spread itself around. AND it has held its own against bermuda grass!

So you might start with a small patch, and I am not responsible after that. (Although I've never lived anywhere with freezing temperatures as a norm.)

I've got you down for the artemesia and lamb's ear.

Oh I forgot to comment on the cutting chamber. I will take photos tomorrow and post. However it is pretty much the same as she posted I do use perlite instead of dirt as i have better success with that. I also like the soda pop ones for longer term rooters like figs hydrangeas and harderwood cuttings (except roses. i find they root better for me in the perlite)

I will post tomorrow. I am scatterbrained right now and my eyes are closing.

Nicole - Thursdays are usually a little rough on me. I normally work from home with most my contracts but the state one I have to be on site. It is a long drive there and back and since I am only on location one day a week I try and cram as much stuff into the day as possible. (A little like fitting 3-4 days into one LOL.
On top of that my mom was in the hospital - they thought it was her kidney but ended up being her back (muscle spasms) and she is in a lot of pain. The meds they gave her are not helping at all and Mikey was running a fever wed. night so I didn't get much sleep. Its gone now - I am guessing it was a cold or something sort term.

Couldn't believe you could tell with just my post girl. That means we have been swappin a littttllllee too much!

I feel a lot better today and thanks for careing.

I have to go get batteries (they must have just died) I was going out to take photos of the prop chamber and wala... no power. So will be back and post them in a couple hours.

Brandymulvaine, Can I have a pink coreopsis.

Flowers: Can I get a purple loosestrife

Tammy: It was not bad or anything, I could just tell you did not sound like yourself. I guess that is part of GW. Making friends and getting to know each other. I am just glad it was nothing to major and mostly just tired. I am sorry about your mom and hope they can get her some painkillers that work or something like a muscle relaxer or something. Atleast it was not her kidneys which could have worse.

    Rest up and take care.
