NEW: Sept.~Petal Pushers~Shade Plant -White Elephant Swap

Welcome to the September Petal Pushers Swap. This month I will be your hostess with my helpers Pat and Tracy. Petal Pushers accepts new members although you must send your box out first. We will be having a "Shade Plant Swap" in the White Elephant Style. If you want to participate you must post the contents of your box here. The box must contain "5" (only) perennial plants for Part Shade to Full Shade. No more or less than 5 plants so everyone starts equally. As you post the contents of your box I will give you a number and that number will be the order in which you will play. To keep it fair the first person to post the contents of their box will be #1 and so on. You'll have until August 30th to sign up and post the contents of your box. I will start a new thread on August 31st. I'll list everyone's # (number) and the contents of all the boxes.

~Now-how the game will be played, for which I need to thank Tracy and Pat.
There will be 3 (three) rounds or whenever the last box has been chosen, which ever comes first:
*The first person, #1, chooses a box.
*The second person, #2, either chooses a box or steals #1's box. (If #1's box is stolen they get to choose again but they can not steal the box back.)
*The third person, #3, chooses a box or steals a box.
*The game will continue this way until the last person has chosen.

EXCEPTIONS-You may not steal back a box from the person who stole it from you.
You may steal that same box if someone else steals it from the person who stole it from you.
Once a box has been stolen 3 (three) times it becomes frozen for the remainder of the game.
If anyone has questions please don't hesitate to ask...I'm new at this myself.

THE REST OF THE RULES
1. Your box must be mailed out no later than 7 days after the game is finished.
2. Boxes must be mailed Priority with a Delivery Confirmation #.
3. You must post the Delivery Confirmation # when you sent your box.
4. If you are new to Petal Pushers you must send your box first.
5. All GW rules apply.

***PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SWAP THEN GO ON VACATION FOR A WEEK ONCE WE START PLAYING.
We all need to check the thread out daily to see when our turn comes up. If anyone is absent for 3 days in a row we'll have to continue without you. You can then choose when your turn comes up again. I don't want this swap to run into November.
If anyone wants to play games with or without prizes please start a new thread to do that on. Don't know about you but I'll start getting really confused.LOL

    Mariann,
Sounds like fun but I will get back to you by the 30th. I don't have a lot of shade so I will have to look around to see if I would have enough to offer that someone would be interested in.
    I'll be checking back,
    Alana

Okay, I will play because I love White Elephant swaps, but please keep that pesky Tracy from blowing up my garden this time! It is just now starting to look good again.
Tracy, this is what happens to thieves in these parts.

I will have to post a list later, though. I may have to supplement with a trip to the shady plant store before I make my list, but I must say the 5 plant minimum and maximum will make it easier to shop. That was a great idea!

Tracy-What's this about blowing up Alana's garden??? Were you a bad girl?

Lisa-Great list of Heucheras! I read a terrific article a few months ago about the different species of Heucheras. If I can find the magazine I'll post some of the info. There was a lot of information that I really didn't know.

Shirley, Denise and Carmen-So glad you'll be joining us.

I missed the Customer Appreciation Day at Well-Sweep Herb Farm. It rained all day on Saturday. Was hoping to pick up a few plants at 20% off. Some of my plants will probably be on the small side for this swap. As some of you know I've had a terrible spring and summer as far as the weather goes. That's why I haven't be doing much trading lately.

Sassy-Yes please lurk! I miss you too sweetie. I've never participated in a White Elephant swap so I'm really looking forward to this one.
    Have a great day everyone
