| The rules are simple for this one. Here they are...
1. I'm defining perennials as anything that will be back again next summer. This could include, bulbs, bushes, trees, vines, and of course perennials. 2. Post what you have to give away. Please include the type of plant, number of trades, and any other pertinent information you can think of. 3. When you see something you'd like, request it. 4. Keep track of who you are sending plants to. 5. Send your trades to me by priority mail in time for them to arrive by August 31st. Include with your trades the following... what you are sending, who they are for, and enough postage to mail back to you your package of what you've requested. DO NOT SEND ME ANY MONEY PLEASE. Stamps will work out just fine, and if there are extras I will include them with your return package. 6. I will begin sorting as soon as packages start arriving, and will mail them all back out by September 5th. Now, let's have some fun, shall we?
p.s. Oops, almost forgot. Please e-mail me for my address, including your name, GW name, and e-mail. |

| Wow! Stay away for a day, and things are starting to heat up a little! How cool is that? I got outside today and checked those hens-n-chicks. No reds, but there are about 3 different types of green ones. You want'em Treasa? Here's my updated list of offerings. I'm listing how many total I'm offering, and who I'm holding some for. Linda, what shade of blue are those iris? Could I have some iris and lamb's ear in addition to the sedum? Greenthumbgrow, could I have some of the chocolate mint? Cjcmass, could I have some of the red iochroma and eunomymus? Treasa, in addition to the centaurea macrocephala, could I please have some rosemary and angelica giga? Would anyone be interested in some un-named tiger lilies? I'll get some pictures of them and another perennial I don't know the name for so you can check them out. I've still got to get pictures of those daisies too! Go ahead and spread the word about this swap. The more people who join in, the more plants available for everyone, and the more homes we can find for our extra plants! Have a great weekend everyone! |

| Flowersareforme, I went outside and checked on how many tiger lilies I have and can add one more for you to my list. May I have 2 of the bee balm, and one of the forsythia from you please? Cjcjmass, may I also have some zebra grass and 1 or 2 of the yellow iris? Trease, could I trouble you for the Artemisia "Limelight" and Butterfly Bush you still have? Treasa, I took another look at those hens and chicks, and one of them has a red flower stalk on it. They've been in a basket for almost a month now, waiting to be planted, and are in good shape still. Would you like me to send them to you so you can look for new ones for your garden? If you don't have them already, that'd be great. If you don't need them, you could pass them on to someone else. I'll leave it up to you. Could everyone please post an updated list of their offers tomorrow? If so, please include what you're offering, who you're sending them to, and how many (if any) offers you have left. I'll go ahead and start off since this will be my last post for the day... Spearmint... 5 offers left Pampas Grass... DONE Shasta Daisies... DONE Wisteria... 1 offer left Artemesia (silver mound)... DONE Yucca... 2 offers left Blue Fescue Grass... DONE Raspberries... DONE Tiger Lilies... DONE Yellow Yarrow... 3 offers left Golden Glow Rudbeckia (was unknown perennial)... | Man, I go to bed, and things get hopping around here! I love it! I've had a question about using paypal for postage, and the amount of stamps on the boxes you all send. Here's what I replied... Pay Pal won't work because I don't have an account with them anymore. What I'm recommending everyone do is keep track of how many plants you are sending and receiving back. Then estimate how big of a box you'll need, and go to your local post office for a flat rate box of that size. When you take your box in to ship it, tell the window clerk you want to pay for the postage for the box to come back to you. He'll then give you the postage, which you can put into the box, along with your return address, before sealing it up. That way there won't be a bunch of stamps on the box, the box won't look like a security issue, and there won't be any postage due on either end. Hopefully this helps. If not, let me know. If anyone has further questions about what type of box to use or postage, just let me know, okay? That's why I'm here, to give you answers. Hopefully good ones, eh? LOL! Now, Treasa, I've got you down for the h-n-c's. Gmom, I have you down for spearmint and yellow yarrow. Flowersareforme, I have you down for the yellow yarrow also. Denise, I can give those lamb's ears a good home if you'd like. You all have a great day! |

| Denise, thank you! I know exactly where to put those lamb's ears! Robin, I'm leaving it up to you all to decide what size/type of box to send. Just remember that it should be big enough for the plants you've requested to come back to you in. I thought I was the 4th person on those red painted daisies, but if one does happen to find it's way here, well, I've already written it down to send splits to Tammy and Nichol. Nichol, I just found some pineapple mint today and brought it home. It's variegated too. There's not much of it yet, but next year when I host this again... And no, I'm not going to ask if you want some, I'm just going to send you a split of it for your collection. So there! Nyah!!! LOL! Here's a list of what I have left to offer... And now, I'm going out into the garden to see what else I can offer up. I know there's at least some cranesbill, but I'll have to see how much there is of that first. Remind me later, and I'll tell you why it's called Aunt Dot in my family. |

| OOOHHHH Brandymulvaine, I can't wait for your list. Toni, I don't care but it would make it easier for dan at sorting time. You have me down as grandmom and its gardenmom. Like I said, I don't care, hopefully I will be a grandmom someday, but I was afraid of it confusing Dan later on if they are labeled that way. LOL I hope everyone has a great day today and did not get too much rain. I have been digging potatoes, trying to get the weeds under control from vacation and getting a bed ready to plant some fall lettuce, broccoli, beets, radishes, carrots and anything else I can find. I think I am also going to start some cuttings and start potting up my herbs for the transition. School starts here next week and things will get busy very quickly. Nichol |
