If you would like to participate in this swap please join.
The rules are simple.

You sign up here and POST here your Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds.

If anyone has those seeds they will send them in and I will put them in your stash.

1. Sign up

2. List your Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds.

3. Please send in FRESH seeds nothing older than 2012, if it is a seed that must be kept fresh please make sure it is from 2013 or a fresh harvest from your garden.

4. You will have until September 20th to get your seeds in. I will begin mailing them back out September 30th.
ANY seeds which arrive late will be returned to you. YOUR SEEDS MUST BE IN NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 25TH! NO EXCEPTIONS.

5. Include your Top 10 Most Wanted Seed list IN YOUR PACKAGE.

6. Include the amount of postage INSIDE your package that it cost you to mail to me, DO NOT INCLUDE CASH.

7. Make sure you send your seeds inside a bubble mailer. You DO NOT have to send another bubble mailer inside your package. The mailer you send to me with your seeds inside IS the one I will mail back to you.

8. You DO have to include a shipping label with your address on it. Make sure you put this inside your mailer.

9. Make sure the seed envies are packed in secure envies. Sometimes homemade envies break and the tea bag envies do not seem to hold up well. If you have to use either of these please make sure they are well secured.

9. Clearly label your seeds packets you are mailing in, with the YEAR and TYPE please make sure you include a YEAR on the seeds.

10. Participants are welcome to mail in ANY amount of seeds. IF you are sending in seeds from someone's want list please mark those seeds for THAT person!

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR PACKAGE IS SECURELY SEALED. DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR WANT LIST/RETURN SHIPPING LABEL/RETURN POSTAGE.

I will try to send back as many to you as you mail in, this is not always possible and IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE AMOUNT RETURNED TO YOU WHICH YOU SENT IN PLEASE MAKE A NOTE OF THAT AS WELL.

Please do not send in a bunch of Marigolds, Purple Coneflower, or any other 'common' seeds these get included in EVERY seed swap and I am sure most people have them, IF someone specifically ask for them you may send the in.

LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR THE SWAP IS SEPTEMBER 14th. This is so your package will have time to get to me.

I will send you my address through an email. If I do not send it to you please send me an email to remind me I didn't send it to you.

Thanks, HAVE FUN and I hope you will join this fun swap!

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Thanks ashley05 I will be on the lookout for it.

cryptid, I received yours today. I LOVE how you did your seeds and all the info with the pics.....AWESOME!
Tell your dear wife thank you so much for the wonderful gift. LOVE it!

It is so wonderful to see all the seeds that come in.

mastergarder2003, just wanted you to know that package STILL smells wonderful. I put it in a ziplock bag and smell it every time I open it.
It wasn't too much of a mess, I opened it on a piece of newspaper when I realized what you had done. IF I haven't noticed it would have been a BIG mess LOL.

Thank you all again for participating in this swap.

I want to thank each and everyone for the wonderful seeds I personally have been gifted. It makes my heart swell to see what has been sent in not only to me but to others.
Gardeners are some of the most generous people on the planet. For the most part anyway!!!
Thank you all again.
:) Aqua

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

domehome, I just saw your message on the other thread. THANK YOU, you have NO idea how much I appreciate an organized envy. Those who follow the directions make large swaps like this so much easier! And then there are the seasoned swappers who go beyond and make it goof proof and THOSE I love LOL. (Y'all know who you are :) )
I know there will be others who will have organized envies too and I know there are those who aren't as seasoned and that's ok too. I don't mind going through and sorting what goes where but when it is done for me well it's just FANTASTIC!

Y'all, I still have ALL the puppies. They turned 8 weeks old Monday. It isn't that I am having to do a lot for them BUT they want to be played with and they want to play outside when I am outside doing stuff and well, it isn't easy watching where I put my feet down and 6 puppies when I am in the "zone" and then when I am trying to pull weeds or anything like that it is HARD to do when you have a couple of puppies trying to kill your glove whilst it is STILL on your hand.
They are sweet though and I want to keep them all LOL. Even when they are underfoot and in the way they are just precious and so much fun to watch romp and play.

I may not check the thread until Saturday evening because today and Friday I will be getting ready for my in person plant swap. It is scheduled for Saturday and will run from mid morning to around 2 pm then I have to clean up and pack up the plants I am bringing back and then putting them somewhere until time to plant and I am sure I will be exhausted so IF you don't hear from me until SUNDAY it is because I was too tired to do anything after the swap.
It will be a very busy day for me so remember SATURDAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP, you will have until midnight after that this swap will be closed and seeds can start being mailed out. If you haven't already :)

Wish me luck with the Plant Swap....I will share a pic if y'all are interested :)

Ok, have a great day, I am off to get some rest.

:) Aqua

I can not send you my address, your email doesn't show through GW and the message you sent me says your email is restricted.

send me another message from your email account not through GW: aqua_dragonfly@live.com

You need to change your restriction to let members see because no one can contact you with it like it is.

I hope everyone is having an awesome Friday. I am busy with my in person swap preparations wow there is a lot I have to do I am getting it done though. Making signs takes loads of time...oh well, it'll be worth it :D

Have a terrific weekend everyone.

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Puppies! I love puppies.
And you are welcome, it's fun playing with seeds. My husband thinks I've gone mad, "playing with your seeds again, huh".
I mailed in kinda early so if you need any more flower seeds for anyone . . . this is my first year really planting annual flowers and I and did go a little overboard. On the whole Californians don't do a lot of annuals, well excepting vegetables. I have had so much fun planting for the butterflies and bees this year, except that one bee that got frisky with me. I guess it's nice to know you're not allergic, LOL.

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

It's official 1/3 of the packages have arrived.

I don't care how many seeds you send in. If you get the thrill of sharing and most of us do.
Unfortunately I am not sure how many I will be able to send back because at the moment most people have sent in specifically for certain members and not a lot of extras.
I do have some to share BUT I am not sure exactly what at the moment.
I know I have a lot of veggies LOL. I have focused on those a lot the last couple of years.
At any rate, I will do my best to send you back as many as you send in.

tamela_star sorry you are having email issues I will resend it.

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

I wanted to say thank you to those of you who have sent me a host gift. That is so sweet of you to do that.
I do appreciate each and every item. It makes hosting all the more sweeter, so thank you all.
It is not a requirement that anyone should do this, so don't think you have too BUT when I find some who have it makes me feel special so again THANK YOU ALL.

I also wanted to tell those who have gone the extra step of listing what you sent in as well or who have bagged seeds in separate envies or baggies for others it makes my job all the more simple so thank you all who have made the extra effort to make my part in this effortlessly easier!

Again thanks to each and everyone of you for joining the swap!

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

primrose1x3 - If you don't get the Asarina in the trade let me know and I will send you some. It is a cool plant, I like to say it has little arms that grab onto whatever it is climbing up. It was one of the plants I bought from Annie's Annuals, a very dangerous nursery to go to in the San Francisco bay area. I just collected some fresh seed from it yesterday. I put it in a hanging basket and it has climbed up instead of hanging down, I'm putting it near a fence next year, LOL.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

I sent out my seeds today! You should get them on Friday since I'm not that far.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Thank you anyway, and wishing you pleasant garden dreams until spring :)

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

socalgardengal: Did you send in your whole garden? LOL. I can't believe you sent in all that AND how much it cost you girl!
forgetmenot_orlando, you did just fine. Glad you decided to do this swap!

VINA!!!!!!!!!!! Can I just say, I LOVE YOU! Thank you for all you did, the packaging, the LIST!!! Saves ME a lot of time and writing. AND OMG!!!!!!!! Those Hib seeds you sent me, I have been wanting FOREVER!!!! Thank you so so very much!

gr8heather, you were thinking that because some said they didn't think some of their seeds would be ready for a little bit. I said they could wait for them to dry as long as they got to me by the 25th all would be good.

Sorry it took me awhile to get this update done, I've had a really really tough day today. Hard to do anything through all the watery eyes but here it is:

LOL :) Just wanted to try and send a few things for everyone. I went a bit nuts buying seeds the last year and this spring, the newbie curse I guess, plus all the awesome traders out there. I don't need back as much as I sent. Aqua can you please send mine out last? I am moving on the 1st. The address I put is the new house address. Thank you so much. Enjoy everyone

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Sure thing socalgardengal, you tell me exactly when you are ready and I will mail it then, the mailing out isn't an issue. I just wanted to make sure all seeds were here to me pretty much at the same time so I could get everything packed back up and sent back out together, but I don't have a problem mailing yours back when you are ready for it. :)

gardenerz, I just received your package, oh my goodness, WHY did you mail it like that? It cost you a fortune. You had time to get it to me.
I feel so bad. I wish you would've asked me before you did that.
At any rate, it's here and thank you for participating in the swap.

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

it sure does seem like the winds of change are blowing strong, and spirit is moving everyone around. seems like everyone is moving!

good luck to you so cal gardener, moving is hard on us garden people ! i recently moved too and half the uhaul was filled with plants. they have bounced back since the big move, and most of the cuttings i took stayed ok =) me and the plants are getting acclimated to a whole new climate.

but at least you will be getting a huge package of new seeds to start your new gardens once you get there =)

ok enough with the off topicness!

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Leila! How are you? So happy you moved too! I'll email you tomorrow. Have a couple questions about fig cuttings for you :) I'm hoping they are ready by the time I move.

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Hi Aqua,
I emailed you on Thursday 9/19 that I sent you the seeds priority that day (and with a list of sent seeds in the email), but the tracking number for delivery to your address is saying -

"Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site. A return receipt after mailing may be available through your local Post Office."

The tracking # is 9114 9011 5981 5535 6878 75

Well, I sent this for the record. If the seeds do not arrive today or are lost, it's out of our hands.

Just want you to know that I tried and appreciate the opportunity to participate in this swap.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Karen and Aqua, I looked using that number and your package is in Blackburn SC right now. It says it will be delivered today, but the last few items I sent actually were delivered the day after the P.O.'s prognostication. You should be fine.

Hey all!

Aqua, so glad it made it :) Yes, I'm a bit of an OCD when it comes to organizing... Which in this occasion paid off :D So glad you love the hibiscus! It is one of my favorites...and...it's still flowering here! All the rest have already been cut back, but, that one still has some nice flowers. LOVE IT!

Have a super Saturday!

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Sorry I couldn't update the list sooner but our internet went down yesterday and we tried till about 8:30 last night to get AT&T to fix it but they kept doing the same thing over and over and it WAS NOT WORKING! Same thing today until about an hour again, between my man and myself we fixed!
I told him apparently I need to be an AT&T tech support person!

Hibiscusfan thank you so much!
and primrose1x3 I apologize for not posting sooner but they did make it.

Y'all did you see the last 3 people who joined? Just checking to make sure. :)

pinkiris, I haven't received an email. Your seeds have not arrived yet.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

IMPORTANT NEED TO KNOW PLEASE READ AND REPLY HERE OR SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE WITH YOUR REPLY, PLEASE!
We have some no show participants. TODAY was the last day to get them in, nothing has arrived.
My question for you IS:
We have a couple of people who didn't receive ANYTHING, of those who didn't mail in their package but received seeds do you who mailed in for the no shows want me to return your seeds to you OR pass them to out to those who didn't receive anything (where they apply anyway) OR would you like for me to keep them? (There are some I would LOVE to receive :) )
The decision is up to you as what you would like me to do with those unclaimed seeds.
If you allow me to keep them I assure they will be much loved :)
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO DO.
I am working VERY hard on this swap, THANK YOU ALL WHO SENT IN SEEDS....GARDENERS ARE SOME OF THE GREATEST PEOPLE ON EARTH!

:) Aqua

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

By all means aqua, if I sent any seeds for no-shows you are welcome to keep them if you like, or distribute them as you see fit.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

With mine, you can do whatever you see fit with them, I do not need them back. Thanks for hosting!

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Please keep what you want and pass the rest on to whomever didn't receive much.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Since you have worked so hard go ahead and distribute them or keep them for yourself. As long as someone uses them while they're viable.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Aqua, you are welcome to do whatever you want with mine. If someone else would be happy with them, enjoy!
Do not need them back. Kathie

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

It's so nice to see people respond to a post. I run a FB group and I tell you it's like pulling teeth there to get my people to answer anything I post.
Like when they prefer our next in person plant swap to be, I did a poll for the last week of April, or one weekend in May and something else.....I have 21 members there and so far I have like 6 responses! Wish y'all were my group members :)
I tell you I try to post something there everyday and I have days I feel like I am talking to myself!
Thank you all for responding really you have NO IDEA how nice it is to receive feedback, if it wasn't raining outside I think I'd go do a happy dance!

Ok so y'all take note, IF YOU receive a pack of that seeds was assigned to someone else, it's because the seeds were freed to travel to whoever would love them the most! :)

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Hi Aqua,

I'm good with just about anything, divide between everyone
so we all get to enjoy a little extra, keep for yourself, you decide, I do not need my seeds back. Thanks for doing this swap, I am very excited to see what we get. It's also raining here in Florida, three days now, I am sure all my seeds that I planted over the weekend have floated away:((

Thanks again!

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Hi Aqua!
Go ahead and keep what you want or send them to someone you think will use them.

Thanks for hosting this swap! I can't wait to see what I get back :-)

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

I agree for you to keep what you want and give the others to the ones that didn't get many.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Thank you all for responding!! Again, gardener's are the nicest people :)
I am ALMOST done with the seeds, I just have to figure out where the others will go from this point and all will be ready to mail back.

Vina, you SURE you don't want yours back? I bet you don't have enough of ANY of them growing in your yard and am SURE you can ALWAYS use more of them hehehe.

We have one person whose seeds are MIA, that'd be Medo, she's having small fits because her's hasn't arrived yet.

I am waiting on Pinkiris's to arrive as well since she mailed it priority. Hopefully it will arrive soon and it is not MIA as well.

Cross your fingers they arrive soon.

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

Just for me, if nothing received as written in my wish list. I'm just fine, no worry to send me anything.

I have plenty of those seeds I sent. No need to send it back if no matching with other wish list.

I live in hi-desert and no greenhouse. Better, get nothing rather than "kill" the seeds. lol. Will join again next Spring swapping.

Thanks and happy gardening.

 o
RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

I've been out of town...

SURPRISE LOL, the envies I had filled first and were ready to mail I mailed some on Friday, a few on Saturday and the majority went out today.
Please let me know when you get your envies. Thank you!

I do appreciate everyone who joined this swap. Can't wait to grow mine out next year.

Some of you know how much I stressed over this one, I wanted to make sure everyone was happy with what they got back.

Thank you all for making this successful.

socalgardengal, I am holding yours until you tell me to mail them.

primrose1x3 I am working on yours. It might take a bit to get it done as we discussed.

Alana, is that not just the neatest plant? I wonder what the variegated version would really look like to grow?

Jeanna, thank you for joining! Thanks for letting me know they arrived.

John, I hope you are able to grow lots of good things next season!

Thanks again everyone!

I got my seeds yesterday. I am very very happy! Thanks, to all of you.
One question though, I got one bag that was in a small square ziplock that was marked with only "2012, any unusual pumpkins" which is what I requested, but I'm wondering what it is? Color, size, etc? Thanks!

RE: UPDATE: Top 10 Most Wanted Seeds Swap #2

AquaI am sooooooo burnt out from moving. Today was the last day. We have lived at our last house for 7 years and had way too much crap. Been moving ,packing, and painting and dump runs for days. My body is beat up. I'm happy I could send to most everyone even if it wasn't the top ten. Aqua, I will be pleased with whatever comes my way. If you need, please take your time. I don't expect you to send me back as much as I sent. I just love to see everyone happy ;) Here's a pic of the sunset from my backyard. Happy growing everyone!

socalgardengal, beautiful pic girl! LOVE that sunset! I understand about moving. I told my man IF we do it again, all the junk I have here will stay here, I'll take my plants and everything else I will find again LOL. I HATE moving.
It's so hard gr8heather, those would have come from Pinkiris, she sent in general things. Like broccoli, watermelon and such IF anyone has anything marked like that please ask her about the varieties. She sent them in for specific people and I put them in your envies :)

pinkiris, glad you managed to get them in :) Told you you would LOVE what you received and was a VERY lucky girl for some of the ones you got ;)
