| Hello everyone, I started a seed train last year and it was so fun to get new things, I've decided to start it again. it stopped just for the summer. Ive emailed the people who participated last spring and a few of them would like to do it again. but we still need some more people. | here are the rules. Thanks. 1. Everyone from any state is welcome to join. 2. All seed train members will need to supply me with name and address thru pm, your garden web name and address will be on a list, which will be enclosed in the seed box. In addition, I will need an e-mail address where you can be easily reached, and your phone number. These will be kept confidential, used only by me and only if you cannot be reached by PM when it is your turn to get the box. 2. Seeds only please, no bulbs as this makes the weight go up 3. Each person is responsible for paying to ship the seeds to the next person. 4. Please package seeds in paper envelopes or seed envelopes again, to save on weight and postage. 5. All seeds are welcome, from commercial packages to home saved. 6. Please post when you receive the box so we know you received it. This way I can contact the next person. 7. Likewise please post when you ship the box. 8. If I can't contact the next person in line via forum, email or phone. They will be skipped. 9. Please try to send the box on as quickly as possible, within a week at most, so that the train can make at least a couple circuits. 10. Take as much as you would like from the box and replace with a like amount of seed. 11. Please post to this thread and let other riders know if there is something special you have to offer, and/or if you have requests, it makes it more fun when you know there is a little extra something special coming your way. |

| I received the box Tuesday October 9 and will be shipping out today October 11 to Gina in New Jersey. Thanks very much everyone. I added some basil, pumpkins, fennel, spinach and some purple tomatillos. I got the tomatillos last year from some wonderful person on the seed train last time we did this and they grew GREAT!! I just sowed the seeds outdoors and they were vigorous and covered with HUGE tomatillos that actually did turn purple. I was thrilled!! Thanks again!! |

| I got the box today. I am going to take: Butter Cup Squash, Winter Squash, Kale 'Dwarf Blue', Burpee Sweet Corn, and Fennel (I have never ate or grown Fennel.) I am going to replace them with: I hope it is ok that I am adding more seeds then I am taking. The box is ready to be mailed out. | I got the box today and am ready to send it on to ladebugz as soon as it's cleared to do so... I took out some cumin, salsify, mammoth gray sunflower, tigger melon, jalapeno, luffa, sage, african horned jelly melon, red cherry tomato, sugar baby watermelon, sunset hibiscus, mustard south giant curled, petite carrots, ali babba watermelon, homestead heirloom tomato, toothache plant, physostegia I added american popcorn corn, 2 packs of purple top turnips, sickle pod senna, taylor cranberry beans, senna alata (candlestick bush), white hardy hibiscus, poppies, cauliflower, false yellow lupine, lantana, sesami (from thailand), swamp mallow hibiscus, red sesbania rattlebox bush (scarlett wisteria), jackson wonder lima beans, champion collards, honeydew melon, curled leaf mustard, touch me not, mustard greens, acorn squash.........most of the packages have enough that 2 or 3 people can take from them so i didn't divide into small individual trades... will check back tomorrow to see if ladebugz is ready to receive the box :) |

| As far as i know there are no secrect players, i dont understand why ladebugz wont post either, the first time i got ahold of them they said they were shipping it the next day and the next time i got ahold of them they said it has been shipped and that was awhile ago. I dont understand, this was where everyone as suppose to share, not run away with the box of seeds. Frustrated......!!!! |

| I am most definitely ready! I am so glad I got another shot at this trade. And I am definitely going to do the round robin "full circle" in hopes that bricore has anymore ali baba watermelon? That sounded interesting! And I finally heard from ladebugz. I totally forgot I did a small trade with them about 2 weeks ago. They claimed they didn't send my end of the trade back to me because they received my bubble mailer with a damaged label so they didn't know where to send their end of the trade. When I told them to email me so we could discuss it, I asked about the box from this trade and I was told by them that it has been a bad two weeks and they had been in the hospital. I was also told they would be released Sunday and would have the package sent "come hell or high water". We shall see. |

| Are you skipping grdngramma, REALBUSY,wilkerson and moonfire? Did they opt out on the second round? Some of the varieties have more than 3 packs. I was hoping that moonfire would also offer her excess beans from the BEAN SWAP Charlie |

| After you get the new box it should go to grdngramma, thence reabusy,wilkerson and moonfire,that is if they want to participate in a second round When I receive the new box I will consolidate it with the first box,if I ever receive same. It wil then go to domesticDiana then Kelli then finally to you,end of line You get to keep all that is in the final leg This way everyone gets a peak at what everyone else has added Charlie |

Do you guys want me to mail the box after I received the bean swap seeds to add to the box? Or should I just go ahead and choose what I want and add some of the seeds I already have? |

| I will wait for the bean swap but if it's longer than about a week, I will ship this box out. For now, I am putting in: Royal rainbow quinoa (3 trades) I also put in some small ziploc baggies just in case someone would like some to take a bit from the bigger bags or just to have for later. Will be updated with more if the bean swap gets here soon. Does anyone want any flowers or herbs in the box? Because I have some I can toss in there. |

| I got a good variety from the bean swap but it's just enough of each variety for me to plant and maybe set a few aside in case they don't do well to try again...so I really don't have any swappable beans from the swap...got a good variety for self garden tho so can't complain about that swap...only posting that here as i know some were looking forward to me being able to add some from that swap to the round robin...so the option stands that i am willing to go to the local farm supply and try to find some new and interesting variety of veggies to trade out or i can skip out this next round...i'd like to participate in another round but i also don't want anyone to feel cheated and I know with the lost package out there some won't have much to choose from...i'm gonna leave it up to hementia and rollinrockell to decide...just let me know in time to get to the farm supply if it'll be coming back around my way so i will have some new seeds to swap...thanks, Dianne |

| The box was sent out today (Thursday, Jan 3). The bean swap didn't have enough of any beans to put into the box. The tracking number is: 0312 1430 0002 7983 2926 I will be on the look out for this swap again. The beans I did receive in the bean swap, I do look forward to growing out and seed saving along with a few of the seeds I received in the Secret Santa Seed Swap. |

| Seed train arrived safe and sound on 01/11/2013. It's huge!!! I spent the entire evening pouring over all the wonderful things in there. Not quite done yet, and I work Monday and Tuesday so I'll get to the post office on Wednesday the 16th and get it shipped off with the tracking number and such. Thanks everyone. |

My apologies, I ran out of little seed bags so I put larger amounts in snack-size baggies and you can take what you want, didn't want to waste another day going across town to buy some more. I put delivery confirmation on the box and the tracking number is 03120090000088492884. Thanks to all who contributed, I got some great beans and such. |

| BOX ARRIVED!!! Funny story....I received a text yesterday while at work asking if I had ordered something. I responded with no but where did it come from. My bf said that it came from South Dakota. I told him that it must be the seed box. He says that it is much too big and heavy to be seeds. I told he could open it but he said he would leave it for me. He thinks Im nuts with all my seeds. He was totally shocked when i did open the box and out came all the seeds packets. It was so much fun to go through he even helped out of curiosity. Anyway, I will make short work of it and get it on its way to Gina. Kelli |

| Got the box today!!!! Done went thru it lol...hubby and I sat in the middle of the living room floor and had a hayday :))...i've replaced the seeds I took out already but plan on including more tomorrow when I have time to go thru my seeds again completely...will either mail it out tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning :) ...will post what I added when I get finished packing it...more to come tomorrow...have a good night all, dianne |
