my escape was great and we escaped back before they got a tropical storm. Somehow driving over the Cheaspeake Bay bridge with 50 mile an hour winds just didn't seem like something we wanted to do, so we left a day early!

I do hope we didn't lose Deb[momcat> that will leave just five for our November swap.

so what's everyone been doing?

I've been doing some fall cleaning outside and some painting nside. WE've been having our Indian Summer and I don't think it's going to last much longer.

We went to a friend from high school's wedding this past weekend and had a great time catching up with everyone. I have been working on painting the trim on the shed and the house and harvesting alot of lettuce, spinach, and carrots.
Alot of flowers and re-blooming now, but our first frost shouldn't be too far off...

Our first "Santa Ana Winds" of the season have come and gone....always lots to clean up after they fly through. The weather is simply beautiful...high 80's and very arid. I canned lots of sweet green tomato relish last night. Now I need to can jalapenos and tobasco peppers. Love my hot stuff! I have some bulb planting to do today, need to do my last batch of sun dried tomatoes...wish I had tomatoes in the garden all year long.

Kara, I am planning on getting your GOM box out on Monday. I will post the DC # after I send!
