This is an Invitation to Participate in a...
Hollyhock Seed Only Swap/Trade.
(This is an Across the Internet Seed Trade that I am Hosting.
Several Websites and Garden Groups I Have Posted this on)
The Rules Will be Simple
1 - Maximum of Fifty(50) Packets of Hollyhock Seed to be Sent in.
(No More than 50 Seed Packets Per Participant)
1 - Each Seed Packet Needs to Contain a Minimum of 20 Seeds.
(All Seeds Being Sent in Need to be Fertile Dark Silver Grey to Black in Color)
2 - Five(5) Packets Maximum Per Color of Hollyhock Variety.
2a-- Only Five(5) Packets Total Allowed of Any Mixed Colored Hollyhock Seed Packets.
3 - Please Include... Preferably in Postage the Amount Required to Send Your Package Back to Your Address from Me...NO Postage Machine/Metered Postage Please.
The Amount in Postage You are Sending...Should Amount to the Same Postage that it took to Send Your Package to Me.
4 - Please Include a List of All Color/Varieties that You are Sending in to be Traded...
Along with the Number of Packets of Each Color/Variety that You Have Sent.
Include Your Screen Name and Real Name and Address on the List.
5 - Deadline for Mailing in Seeds Will be, Monday, November 2nd.
(Start Mailing in Your Seed Packets as Soon as Possible)
Seeds Will be Mailed Back to You by Monday, November 16th.
Please Private-Mail Me to Participate...
and I Will Send You My Address for Sending in Your Hollyhock Seed Packets.

| I have only two colors, a deep burgundy and a light cream with a yellow eye. Can I send five packs of each and get some different colors back? I do not need as many packets back as I send but I would love one some other colors. Let me know. diene |

The Whole Point is to Share Alot of Different Varieties with a lot of Traders.
And Remember Hollyhocks Cross Easily so...
The Variety of Colors Will be Spectacular. colcol...
Your Black Current Swirls Should be Ready by the End of October.
Seed Starts Setting from the Bottom to the Top of the Plant so...
Watch the Bottom First Blooms...They Set Seed Quickly but...Wait Until the Outside Husk Starts to Change to a Pale Light Green Turning to a Tan Color and the Husk Will Begin to Open.
Once the Seed Husk has Turned CompletelyTan the Seeds Will Start Falling Out. |

| They are predicting an early freeze here. I just went out and looked at my HH. They aren't even close, so I had a heart to heart talk with them to hurry up! HA! Also, about HH cross easily -- my Black Currant Whirl and Creme de cassis are right next to each other and all the time there are huge beautiful bumblebees on them! So, those I expect will be crosses. Diene, I imagine there are others like me who don't have any cream colored :) and there are different shades of burgendy... looking forward to this trade. |

| I am sorting my seed stash and I have more varieties then I thought - YEAH!! I don't have cream colored - only burgundy but it bloomed first year after WSing. |

I got my pkg off in the mail today. No use waiting for my Black Currant Whirl or Cream de casis seeds. They froze to death before ripe :(

You Can Send in as Many or as Few Hollyhock Packets as You Like. The Starting Mailing Postage is an Average as I am Seeing 84-88Cents Per Mailer.
At this Point...You Will Receive as Many Different Colors/Varieties as I Receive in Return.
If You Send in 10 Packets...You Will More than Likely Receive Back 10 Different Colors or Varieties of Hollyhock. Lots of Sign-Ups are Coming in.
Lots of Packages with Lots of Colors and Varieties are Starting to Come in also. Just Remember...

| I Have had a Few Individuals Who are Sending Hollyhock Seeds Who Have Been Sick this Last Week so... I am Extending Mailing in Your Seeds Until Monday November 9th (Period...No Later). I Have Everything Divided by Individual Colors.
and...Lists All Taped on Each Persons Individual Mailer
So Now All I Have to do is Look at Each List and Divide Up the Various Colored Seeds...That is Why I Added the Additional Week for Mailing.
The Largest Amount of Work is Completed.
So if You Wish to Send in Your Hollyhock Seed...Please Do this By Monday November 9th. I Hate to See Anyone Miss Out on the Colors or Varieties Sent in.

I mailed my seeds today but I realized that they were going to have to travel across the entire country so I do not know how long that will take. Hopefully they will make it in time but I only had two colors to send so do not worry if they do not arrive in time.
