1) All players should be at least 18.

4) Box contents should include at least the following... 3 types of bulbs or 6 types of seeds, a card or letter explaining what your theme is and why you picked it, 1 trick or treat (it is Halloween, after all). The rest of the contents are up to you.

Packing boxes tonight (YIPPEE!!!!!) since I am NO LONGER in a drug-induced mental fog! I took the last of the drugs this morning, with only a slight headache lingering. I did have a few moments of mental confusion this morning, but I'm feeling great tonight! I hope this means I'm almost over whatever ###!!!%@@ bug bit me! I hate being sick! (As if anyone enjoys it, eh?)

I really couldn't find any seriously weird era-clothing in my pics.. I just missed the 60's, was lil bitty in the 70's, so the 80's on up was mostly my thing..lol That mainly consisted of the parachute pants and off the shoulder Flashdance shirts..lol Which I did own both, but can't find any pics of it.. perhaps my mom was trying to pretend it never happened LOL. then on to poofy hair, lots and lots of hairspray. There was the M.C. Hammer pants phase in there too somewhere but I'd prefer to pretend that didn't happen myself! lol

early 80's formal.. neither of us were happy about getting pics taken (can ya tell?) notice the 'helmet head' of hair.. not a single hair would move without a wrecking ball I can attest to that! serious hairspray love back then...

Junior year prom. btw that's my future ex-hubby there..lol poofy hair + mullet = true love? not so much.. :P the hair just keeps getting bigger...

My box of Curious Content included 3 handmade jack-o-lantern pillows, a glass snowman 'snowglobe', flower jigsaw puzzle, yummy smelling lavender scent beads, a kitchen notes and recipe cards set, witch shelf sitter, light-up cat ornament, halloween edition "Country Living" magazine, seeds!! and chocolate!! We've been remodeling...UGH...started with a carport, now we're having to re-wire the ENTIRE FREAKIN' HOUSE!!
We've been without electric for 4 days now. Since Monday.
I....am....going....nuts......
But I guess, having new wiring in a 75+ year old house is a good thing. No more crispy wires falling apart when they are barely moved.
Oh, and did I mention the ceiling in the front room (the computer room!) is missing? FIL fell through today, and took out most of it. He's OK...but now we've got THAT to fix, too.

Oh, and the kids have the flu.
And I'm feeling a headache coming on. Hopefully, it's just stress, and nothing more than that.

Oh, I have Becky's box ready to go, and had intended to get it out on Monday, but...well....between the house falling down around our ears, and the flu bug, I just haven't gotten my butt out of the house.

Oh, I am very patient waiting on boxes. (Just not so patient on waiting for partners! HA!) I love the suspense. Besides, I have barely started on yours and the earliest I will mail is Saturday. I'm working on a little something that is taking more time than I thought. I need to find some more goodies! It's hard to find anything good around here. We don't have a lot of places to choose from and the places we do have aren't consistent with their selection. And since they're redoing our Fall-Apart I won't even go in there.

Stayed home sick Tuesday, worked Wednesday, and stayed home sick today. Unsure about tomorrow. I could probably handle work if I didn't have to put up with the kids. Although I should go and give it back to them since I probably got it from them to begin with ;) My sinuses are dripping like a faucet. Literally! I had TP stuck up my nose awhile ago! I've coughed until I have just about given myself a concussion. The cough syrup and antibiotic don't appear to be working. I'll be glad when this stuff is gone.

I should be thankful it isn't the flu. When I called the doctor Monday they asked me to down and get a flu swab. Had one of those? Now, that's a good time! Anyway they had a bunch of us lined up on a bench (made us wear those masks) called us in did, the test, and then came out and announced the results. I was negative. The girl on my right was positive. I hope she didn't breath in my direction! She probably thought I was the contagious one because I was sitting there coughing my head off!

Oh, and BTW, Wendy...that "cross country astral projection" stuff? Yeah, that is definitely what we have going on...because YOU SENT US YOUR RAIN!!! :P We have had 6" of rain in the last 12 hours here....and it's STILL raining strong with no end in sight! My yard is under so much water that I"m afraid to go outside. Which, I really NEED to, because we're out of coughdrops & other meds...so a trip to the pharmacy is in order. I can't let Adora (the 3 year old) go without cough meds because she had RSV when she was 9months old, and was in the hospital on oxygen...and ever since then, she gets this junk in her lungs & chest whenever she gets a cold...and it doesn't go away on it's own, it just gets worse and she can't breathe...Hubby was up all night with her, keeping her chest elevated.

So...I guess, off I go, in the wet WET WET outdoors to get some mucinex. The only thing that works for her (wonderful stuff!). Hopefully, the roads aren't TOO bad. But I've got a suburban (only 2WD, though...darn!) so it shouldn't be so bad.

Oh, and I need to make a stop for coffee, too. Medical necessity for ME. :o)

Here's some pics I meant to share a week or so ago of the flooding in my lil town recently..

this is our version of 'downtown' this is the right side of the RR tracks. That's about 10ft or so of water on the ground..

this is the left side of those RR tracks. Our local park and community pool is somewhere under all this water. It is I would guess 12ft of water. It completely covered the entire poolhouse and surrounding gazebos and playground equipment.

Traffic was not good on this day... this is closer to ATL.

ALL THINGS YELLOW...from Danny Boy arrived yesterday!
I just opened it up.......so very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me refill my cup of coffee and I will share with you what the nice mailman sent my way.

Here we go....

First of all, the box was painted YELLOW, YELLOW, YELLOW...inside and out.

A very nice note explaining why he chose the theme "ALL THINGS YELLOW". Dan loves yellow and surrounds himself with bright and cheerful things during the dreariness of Winter. Everything he sent me is yellow or a shade of, grows under a yellow sun or produces light!

Lots of candy....several pumkin marshmellows, peanut M&M's, lots of lemon heads, and a chocolate candy bar

So bunny .. our latest financial disaster.. that roof leak. Got my son up on the roof who came back with the news that the roof is actually sinking in in a few spots. joy.

wonder how many tarps lowe's has.. and how many bricks it'll take to cover the whole roof..lol

maybe I can find a bright orange one and claim it's Halloween decor... and then it can also fit into the Fall/thanksgiving decor... then maybe I can find a bright red one that'll look like a welcome mat for Santa's sleigh... that would also work great for Valentine's of course.. multi-purpose color tarping.. who knows?? maybe it's the next big thing !!!

We're going to a 'Taste of..' event where you get to walk around and sample all the restaurants in the area's yummy foods and all the quaint lil stores will be open for us to browse thru. It's in the town I lived in as a small child, and one of the last places my mom took me on a 'tour' of before she died. she had me drive around and see where my great grammy lived and the restaurants my g'father took me to ever sunday as a child. It was a lot of good memories. sadly the place that was my first home has been knocked down and turned into a car lot. progress eh? but it'll be a day of fun and memories I think.

Later on we'll all be planting out plants that need to get in the ground and bringing in the BIG plants that have been basking in the sun all summer long. Leaves are everywhere already. I love to watch the cat and dogs chase the leaves in the wind..cheap entertainment! lol

Hey, on the bright side...they DO make camo tarps, so maybe the neighbors wouldn't notice! LOL And after you get your roof fixed, and have no more use for the tarp, you can get the "Blue Tarp Bible"....it's a great book with all sorts of ideas for using tarps! The boys love ours....we have so many tarps, it just ain't funny. In fact....that is the current roof of our shed that got damaged during that ice storm. A tree took the roof off, so we've had a tarp up there ever since. It ain't perty, but it works! :O)

Becky~ I'm glad you got your box & I hope you enjoy it. The kids loved packing it for you. :O) The grape jam is made from Tontitown grapes, grown just 2 miles from my house. We buy bushels of them every year...there's nothing better than a home grown grape!

I recieved her box with all kinds of goodies. She was so thoughtful, she sent tons of seeds in the cooler colors that I have in my garden even though here theme was "Warm Colors, Cool Treats". I devoured the Twix candies - yum!!! She sent a reblooming Iris, purple tulips (which are chillin' in the fridge) Camassia bulbs, candy corn, caramel apple lollypops, lots of Hollyhock seeds and others in yummy colors, a kitty toy that Misty adores and treats for her too. Since I have been a nurse all week, I was excited to receive my box. The contents were as follows and keep in mind it is themed "for the birds" and Deb got quite creative.

UNHAPPY PART, BUT SADLY NECESSARY
We unfortunately had one person fail to follow through on her end of a trade, and yes, I'm talking about Leah/dancingrabbit. The last time she posted she said she'd be mailing out her boxes (she's in two RRs that I know of) this past week, so, I'm giving her this coming week to either post delivery confirmation numbers (so the boxes can be tracked) or for these two boxes to actually be delivered. If no proof of these boxes has surfaced at the end of this coming week, Leah will be banned from further trades within the MNF group, other groups will be alerted to her actions, and a VERY unsavory rating will be left for her in the rate and review forum, hopefully warning anyone else from including her in any trades or swaps.

Leah, if you are reading this, and you wish to save your reputation, post the delivery confirmation numbers of those boxes, AND e-mail me right away.
