wow thanksgiving is comming up fast, I'm still working on some things for your stockings, one of the perks of hosting is I have a little more time. I got my hugh drop-leaf table cleaned off today to use for sorting and packing everyones stockings.

oh! boy I'm gonna get all the boxes on the same day aren't I? my mail carrier thinks I'm soooo wierd already. LOL

I will use flat rate boxes for most of the stockings, I will pay the extra shipping if there is any, I probubly should have done that to start with, just was not thinking.

we have 9 boxes in so far(including mine) and 2 on the way, but there are 9 people I have not heard from, please let us know if you will be able to ship or not, I want to get everyones boxes out as soon as possible so we can all enjoy our christmas goodies as long as possible. if you can't make it don't worry just let me know so I'm not waiting for you.

My husband is a truck driver too, he won't be home for Thanksgiving, but was home last week for dear season so we had our turkey dinner then. My son, also a truck driver will be here in about an hour for the holiday. So I am making another dinner for him. Will be sick of turkey think I will have ham for Christmas. LOL

I hope you all made great big pigs of your selfs yesterday, I know I did. the snow did not amount to anything but timmy was able to go out and try to catch some flakes in his mouth. we did our annual 'try to get up and get to the stors before everything was gone' trip we got a few good deals but not much.
spent the day putting up the tree and deckorating the frount yard( you can tell my houses we are the only ones to put up lights on the whole street)
I got two more boxes in the mail today, just 4 more to go (not counting the 2 people I have not heard from yet)

I will spend the next few days sorting the seeds and gifts and filling the stockings. I will try to get them in the mail sometime this week, not the same day, I don't relish the idea of taking 15 boxes to the po all at once.

It was nice to come home from ringing bell all day to find my stocking swap here.
There was candy,hot cocoa mix,hot pads,a napkin with two snowmen speaders,seed bags and alot more than I can remember.
My niece says that, it's not fair,there should be one for the kids.

Yaaaayy! It has been snowing all morning, and the post man brought me my stocking!!! I love the stocking, looks hand stitched even!! And the pot holders, kitchen towel, candles, yummy candy/treats, Dahlia bulbs, blue beaded angel kit,(which is perfect, because just last night, I decided to actually have a themed Christmas tree and bought blue and white ornaments/lights!) hand made ornaments, seed baggies and markers, and I loved my selection of seeds!! This was a fun swap, and I will definately want to participate in it again! Thanks Michelle for doing such a fantastic job hosting, organizing, and getting out our boxes so quickly!! I'm soo happy that s many people have gotten their stockings and are happy with them.

neonposey - your was checked in the King NC PO so it should also be delivered today
astilbezilla - they tried to deliver on the 30th but did not leave it, if it is not picked up soon they will send it back to me and I can't afford to ship it again.
I just love the gifts I kept, rainbow hummingbird spinner, doggie stocking(Timmy insisted, he loves animals), grow your own christmas tree kit,some nice smalling candles and so on.
I also got some great seeds from all those sent in, I think I sent almost everyone at least one packet of milkweed, please find a place to plant some, to keep it from spreading just deadhead. it is so wonderfull to watch the little caterpillars munch away and grow, timmy and I raised and relesed over 50 monarchs this year and 40 blackswallow tails, and a hand full of of other butterflies. it is very gratifing to help the little "fairies" I enjoy watching so much. sorry got a little caried away ther.

I received my package and stocking yesterday...thanks so much to Michelle and everyone! I opened the box with my son, and I agree with another gardener, next time...I will open it alone...LOL! He stole all of my good candy! Whoever sent the chocolate egg with the toy in it....that was perfect for him, thanks! I loved the Dahlia bulbs, which is one I didn't have, plus there were a lot of really nice seeds enclosed.

this swap has gone sooo smothly, I just can't beleve it.
everyone has gotten their stocking now so I will wrap this one up.
may be next year for those with kids, we can include some mini stockings I will fill with some candy so thay can take that away to dig in to so moms can have theirs to themselfs.
I know when I was getting all the boxes my son Timmy kept saying "OHH! I want that" "can we keep that one?"and "PLease just one piece of candy" in the end I let him pick out the stocking for us to keep. I still have the stocking from last years swap, I have started a collection.well I hope we all have the best of holidays.
