I can't believe we are on #4 already!!

cAROL what a great find. I wish I had a JoAnns closer. All I have is a Michaels. Great for craft stuff but they don't have the little odd and ends that you can find on sale at JoAnns.

This is my first year WS and seed collecting. I started a notebook. I listed the seeds I have and then looked them up online...My husband asked if I was studying :o) I am only going to plant half my seed packet for the winter sown plants. I am afraid that I will do something wrong and I don't want to loose all that I have. I have received some great seeds from generous SASBE offers. I am not going to worry about plant placement until I actually have to plant them. It would be great if I didn't have to buy anything next year...HAHA I am sure I will find something that I have to have...I know you all can relate.

With all the research I actually complied a want list instead of "Everything". I hope to try more vegetables next year too!!

I can barely keep the costumes on my Toddler, forget the pets!!

My 3yr old is sitting here at the table eating a banana. He looks down at this foot and says "hmmm very interesting". I ask him what he's looking at and he says in a sly voice "I think I have a BooBoo" I always crack up at the things he has to say!!

I just got home-stayed a couple of days longer than I intended. I have to get busy and let everyone know I am available to work and do some catching up. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Now I have to go take care of my broom-it is smokin'.

It is a cold rainy day here. I finally got my Halloween cards out to the family. I love it when I can get them out before the holiday!! Since that is done I have switched over to baby shower mode. My sisters shower is in 2 weeks. I guess I need to figure out what games we are playing and what we are eating :o)

Anyway, enough of my whining. I promise to be all smiles and giggles from here on out.

Carol, as you probably figured by now I am your secret sender. I hope you enjoy all that I packed in there for you. There are some special treats from our little town in there that I hope you will like. They smell wonderful and will help ward off the chill of our crisp autumn evenings.

Dan, I am so sorry you are feeling bad too. I believe we had influenza A with our first round of illness. Mine progressed into bronchitis and then pneumonia. The antibiotics didn't do the trick and I now have an inhaler that is helping me immensely. Thank goodness. I actually am starting to feel a little bit of energy.

We've been brewing cinnamon tea, the aroma is enough to make you perk up. Drinking it with a touch of honey is wonderful for your chest and adds a little humidity to the air inside as well. Give it a try, it may help a bit.

Heidi, I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. This has been a dreadful month for so many of us. My prayers are with you.

Good Morning!

Alana and Carol, thank you for your kind wishes. I am feeling a bit better this morning. I have been worrying about this and feeling quite terrible that I have't gotten the goodie box out till yesterday. I can't say how relieved I am that it is finally on it's way.

Carol, that is exactly what I do with my cinnamon tea. I steep cinnamon stix in a pot of water on the stove and let it go all day, refilling with a bit more water as it evaporates. We make tea from it and add honey, it is quite delicious. The kids really love it. Great for keeping them hydrated too. I will check out that site that you mentioned. I could use all the help I can get.

The little ones are feeling a bit better too. As I type, they are all around me at the kitchen table with markers and colored pencils, making pictures of Jack O'Lanterns, bats and all kinds of funny halloween characters. They are having a good time with that. :O)

We've been washing hands like crazy, disinfecting door knobs, light switches, toys, remote controls and every surface we can think of. LOL. I have told some people that they should buy stock in Clorox this year with all the flu issues that we've been having. I can see good results on the returns coming back to investors!

The little kids' school has nearly 17% absentee rate right now with all the bugs going around. They are wiping desks down with clorox wipes every evening after the kids go home. I hope they get this under control there soon so we can have a much healthier fall and winter. Summer was wonderful for us, not a sniffle or a sneeze in sight! Those were the days! :O)

Margaret, I will talk to Sassy about a list of Petal Pushers for you. I believe she should have an updated list of everyone. Thank you for hosting next month. I love November, Thanksgiving and the smells of Autumn in the air. It is always beautiful here with the leaves changing colors and scattered about on the ground.

MY BOX HAS ARRIVED!

I know ya all are just 'Dieing' to hear all about it,so i will share with you sleepy ghouls.(Ya all have been sleeping this last couple of weeks)
******I was in the kitchen,when i hear a horn honking in the drive way,as i go to the front door, my mailman is backing out,hummmmmmmmmmmmm,i wonder what he brought me, i was thinkng it was one of the books i ordered from Amazon,it was, and there was another package there,Oh Yaaaaaaaaaa,I knew straight away, it was MY BOX,Cause it has a cute Pumpkin drawn on the box,and a very good drawing at that.
So i grab up both packages, throw the book on the couch,and go get a knife to open MY BOX,
Inside is the greatest treasures,a hand written note(don't ya all just love hand written notes, in this day and age)from Barnabus(yea, ya all know it is Tracy,but pretend you don't).
Mr Collins,your age shows your good manners,something lacking in today world you know)
I have 4,yes,4 Brown Paper Bags,decorated in Halloween Stickes,one says:Eyeball Highball,with a martini drink, no olive,but a Eyeball, cool!
Inside this Brown Paper Bag,all gussed up,are Tulips,Blue Moon,woooooooooooooooooooo,they are Huge, i tell ya,15,of them.
Another Brown Paper Bag holds some Narcissus Bulbs,so many the bag had burst at the seems,also decorated in said stickers,'Skin and Tonic'Yikessssssssssssssssss,Barnabus,Can i pass on this drink please!
Not done yet,so sit still,i know,it's hard isn't it.
Anothe Brown Paper Bag,of Tulips,Antoinette,I have never grown Tulips, so i will be looking these up,they sound pretty.
Don't leave, there is still more,uh,hu.
I wish you all had a Smell button,here sniff this,yummy,New York Apple Spice Tea,Caramel Apple Coffee,,ohhhhhhhhhhhh,and Smell this one,Pumpkin Spice Coffee.They have only been out of MY BOX,a few short min, and you should smell my house,emmmm emmmm,

I'm so glad you enjoyed the Apple Tea. The kids are almost all better with minor coughs that are lingering. My youngest boy is still running a low grade fever. He is staying home again tomorrow. Tuesday is election day so that will be another day that he can stay home and recuperate. Hopefully soon we will be done with all this nonsense. I'm feeling stronger and more myself. My voice is nearly back to normal now, I sounded quite froggy for a few weeks there. The cough is a bit better but hard to control once I get to hacking. I will be relieved when I am truly back to normal again.

Dan, you take care of yourself, ya hear? This flu is a mean one. Tuck in and hit the sack!

I woke up feeling much better today! Probably about 97-98% well, as a matter of fact! Thank you Ladies for bearing with me!

Ack! Thing! My Dearest Pal, Thing! I have been remiss again and not posted you my THANKS! Please forgive my lack in grace. I have not been myself and am very red in the face.

As I creaked open this ghoulish box one cold and dreary night, out came tufts of spider webs flying through the air to catch in my hair. I felt creepy and spooky and all together ooky with all the frightful sights peering out at me from inside the devilish darkness that was looming within. A skeleton face stared back into my eyes. I nervously reached in to extract him with care, buried below was a dead gardener named Tracy. She was nothing but bones although wearing her finest gardening gear, sun hat complete with cobwebs and spiders. Cover-alls with TRACY stencilled across the bib, garden gloves and trowel on hands,ready to tend her gardens of the crypt.

I then opened the black satchel that had the skull face with it's piercing glare. Inside were delightful treats to be shared. "Songs of Terror" CD to set the mood, Garden Plant Markers and Pencil with Bats flying out, Irises Superstition and Dangerous Mood, Tulips Queen of the Night to help add to my fright!

There were orange and black spiders on webs and an icky, creepy, disgusting, gigantic centipede slithering about on top of the most adorable goody bags with Halloween critters flitting about, one final bundle contained nothing but sweet treats within! M&M's, Snickers, Milky Ways, Twix's and Nice Hershey Kisses!

It was a wonderful night filled with Halloween Fright from my very special friend, Thing! Thank you Thing, with all of my heart! You made my day, cheered my mood, made me laugh and my children delight in all your generous sharing and heartfelt caring.

I do apologize for my bad manners. Please forgive me for thanking you so late. Your gifs are loved and deeply appreciated.

I wasn't sure on the bulbs ~ I hope there's still time for you to plant them.

The bulbs are perfect! Queen of the Night is such a rich black! I can't wait to be out there putting them in the ground. We can plant those even after the first snow here as long as the ground isn't too hard. I was out there for a tiny bit on Saturday night when we were bringing the kids outside for pictures and it is still nice and soft. Nearly slipped on the grass and landed on my behind. LOL. Our temps have been fluctating like crazy, one day high 60-70, the next we're hovering around 40. We've had several frosts now so I do need to hurry up and get them in.

Thank you for being so sweet and understanding. You certainly made us all smile from ear to ear. Thank you again!

November 6 "...my house caught fire, my aunt died my nephew has the swine flue and my daughter has chicken pox realy bad i was and have my packages to send out but scince no one wsants me here and oviously think i am a scammer i am leaving as i dont need any more stress ty youj guys wont see me AGAIN!!!!!!!! i was planning on sending the packages after all this happened i just had bad unforseen things happen btw margarita wi DAN I LOST MY HOUSE ..."
