| Lisa, good your family is helping you, take care and you'll make plenty of fudge soon! Want to post your FUDGE recipe? I'm sure you'd be glad knowing it'll be on our Thanksgiving menu. Of course, it'd be lightened by me as I've had to watch what I eat, unless of course it's already light. Hey, time for sharing some favorite recipes you'll be making soon? have a great weekend, |
| I already see a lot of wishes I can fill, so I guess I'd better join! Since I'm also in another big swap, it would probably be best if you look at my exchange page if you're sending me anything, since I'll probably be fiddling with it a bit in the next week or so. However, as of this posting, here is my list: Bean - some kind of runner bean; Dragon Tounge Bean; purple podded snap beans; cool looking dry beans As you can probably see, my passion is heirloom vegetables, and if you have a really awesome heirloom you'd like to send me that's not on my list, I wouldn't mind at all. :-) |

| Hi Bea,, and thank you for caring quilting fox,, how very nice you all are,, ok here goes--my peanut butter fudge reciepe;;; Best Peanut Butter fudge (really it is too ) spray pam in a 9x13 inch pan |
| Lisa, yummy recipe I am sure, makes me wish I was back to years ago when I could have sugar without worries ( watched fat and salt intakes for years but cookies and pralines were too much for me last May) Now I know no matter what it's best to use sugar and fat in moderation or NO SUGAR, for me anyway, suggest this to everyone, for you too, because I'm a friend. Just found this recipe for HEALTHY CHOCOLATE FUDGE BARS, looks good, giving it a try, might add some peanut butter. So Lisa, because of you bringing in fudge, chocolate lovers here will enjoy it too, thank you very much. Kim, great chocolate milk, can always use Splenda, thank you. Bea |

| Hello all Jordan and I are back from Disney and had a wonderful time. On the morning of her 5th birthday, Jordan went to the Bibbidi Boppidy Boutique to get dressed up like a real princess. Her hair, makeup dress, shoes crown and wand were all done/given to her. She later went to a tea party to learn how to be a real princess. She learned how to be a proper princess. For 2 days she was a "real princess". On the night of her second day I asked her if she wanted to be a princess on our last day and she said "Well, tomorrow I think I want to be a child. It is very hard work being a princess all the time." I guess sitting with your ankles crossed and your hands gently in your lap, using your best manners, giving all the kind people thank you's and curtseys and granting dreams and wishes was more than a little girl could take lol. I have made quite a list of seeds to send out. Did the addresses get sent yet or are they yet to come? I need to make up a better list and will see if I have the time. I would just be happy to get a few cards. Kim |
| Kim, great for Jordan and you to have been to a wonderful world. Jordan knew what was more fun! Imagine you took plenty of pics. Hey...everyone, take it easy on the sugar! Prevention helps a bunch. best wishes, |
| Hey Kim I am kinda new here but glad to see you and Jordan where able to have some fun time. Also I think addy's go out after sign ups are complete. Hey Bea good advice for everyone. I cut back on sugar sometime ago.Only time I really indulge is around the Holidays. Both sides of my family have diabetics and I need to be careful since I have a bad heart condition. Take care And Happy Thanks Giving. |
| Hey Klorentz, good seeing you here! I'm not missing sugar at all, there are many alternatives, eventually we get used to less sugar too. With me it was my Birthday and Mother's day, decided to make pecan pralines, mostly sugar..my blood pressure was already high but I was naive. So you all make sure you check your blood pressure before indulging in white sugar. love |
| Hi everyone! Wish List: 1. Angel's Trumpets "White" or "Red" (Brugmansia Suaveolens) Any kind on the ones with ** Thank You! |
| Will do Bea. Been lucky in the blood pressure dept. That's one thing I have been OK on.We have some Splenda on hand that can be used for baking.BIL has to do things about 50/50 cuz of my Sis and cuz it diabetes runs in my family. Have to watch the sodium to.Found some good stuff low in sodium other than Mrs Dash (not a bad product)and Nu Salt.My Dad would use one that had hot pepper flakes in it. Not bad really.I might add though watch your starches. taters etc have lots of it so there is another thing to watch. Kevin |

| Kym, I will get my list of those I will be sending to...to you...by December 1st. CHRISTMAS is a time to give...tiz certainly much grander than receiving. Little Ladybug...little Morgan...I have some seeds that your Mom and brothers can plant together. And a beautiful garden it will be, with you watching over it.....SMILE! Thank you Kym............. |
| Hope everyone had plenty to be thankful for and isn't overstuffed. At least no cooking for a few days, smile. How about posting some recipes for what you had or plan on making? I will soon, day just starting, it's 43 deg too. How generous you are Kym, will send seeds for your friend and won't ignore your wants, thank you. have a good day you all, |
| Hi everyone , hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, lots of good food and spending it with your family and friends :-) I spent a couple more hours going thru my seeds and everyone's wish lists yesterday so now I am almost ready to start mailing ;-) This will be so much fun ! HO HO HO I am one happy little elf ! Kym, that list you just posted yesterday is a list of those who have reported who they are sending to, correct ? not those you have info on ? I will get my list together and send it to you either today or tomorrow ;-) and sending seeds to your friend in memory of her daughter is a wonderful idea ;-) I hear jingle bells ! ~Iris |

| Great job, Kym, you must've worked few hours on it, thank you, waiting for the fun games to begin. Grandson, 10, made our Thanksgiving extra nice, quizzing us at the table for a while, wanted to stay longer, his mom said he'll have 2 weeks off for Christmas and they'll stay more than 2 days. Hope my son makes it then too. Always a game for a game, Bea |

Happy mailboxing everyone! Peace. |

| Is it too late to join? I was in last year, and sent a lot of cards out and helped out with people who had hard to find requests. I have just been so busy with my bean swap, that I did not get to join. If it is too late, that is ok, but if not, I would love to join again! Christy |

| Just sealed my last envelope so my cards are ready to go. I didn't make my cards, but I did buy cards designed by children who are patients at M.D Anderson Cancer Center. Sales benefit the patients. |

| Ahhhh! It's time to mail cards??!!??...drat my perfectionist genes coupled with procrastination. I'm working on my cards and they will get done soon even though, I've never once acheived perfection. BUT, I will not let you down Santa! Some special gardenwebbers out there will get their cards. Neither superglued fingers, nor glitter catastrophes, nor crayon meltdowns will stop these seeds. Am I making anyone nervous that they might be getting a card from me??? :D |

| Well, I finally trimmed down my list and emailed it to Kym, and have most of my seeds sorted and labeled. I rounded up enough BEs, so next I will work on my cards and address labels. But I think I better get some sleep and start in again later today. My DH just came by and asked "'Do you have any ideal what time it is?" As a matter of fact, I did not realize that it had gotten so late (or early). Gggrrr...its 342 am...LOL!! |
| Good morning everyone ! I have a quick question before I go to work ... is it okay to send the seeds wrapped inside a piece of bubble wrap inside the card in a regular envelope ? Hope all you elves have a merry day ;-) ~Iris |
- Posted by dan_the_mailman Michigan (My Page) on Tue, Dec 1, 09 at 6:33
| Iris, if you do, make sure you note on the front of the envelope that it needs to be hand-stamped, and that it contains seeds. This way, it won't be sent through the sorting machines and ripped open. There's a lot more mail going through the postal system right now, which means more accidents will happen. We do our best, but... sometimes things happen. Hope this helps. Peace. |
