| Kim I loved this swap last year. So I am possible in. I am currently in 2 wishlist swaps. So what could be left. So I will have to think before totally commiting to this one but I am VERY interested in this. Thanks Paula |
|
| Just trying to get the idea here.... So you send everybody a list of everybody's addresses and , or do you just send the addy's peeps ask for? And I understand that we mail everything directly to peeps ourselves? :) And then you keep track of who sent to who, but not each item? Is that all right? Maybe I can play.... |
|
| The way it worked last year, was that every one listed a certain number of wants and who ever could fill any wants would send a christmas card with the seeds to each person. I think we had around 150 people signed up last year. You can choose how many wants or wishes to fill and how ever many people you wanted to surprise. And yes Kim would just be keeping track of who you intended to send cards to. She did not ask for a list of wishes that you were filling. She did it this way to ensure that everyone got at least 1 christmas card with wishes in it. Paula |

| This was an absolute BLAST last year, and the birthday swap has been all year! You BETCHA I'm in on this one this year! I already see wishes I can fulfill, so let's get the Ho-Ho-Ho-Down started! LOL! My wishlist, in no particular order... Heidi, you don't have to send the cards/seeds in a bubble envelope, but make sure there's enough padding between the envelope and seeds to make sure they arrive safely. Also, it's always a good thing to print "HAND CANCEL PLEASE" on the front of the envelope, bubble, padded, or otherwise. Anyone else have any postal questions? I'll try to answer them. Peace. -Dan |

| Just went through only one of my many tins of seeds and found I have something for most if not every one. I just want to say this again for those with few or no seeds... last year I sent only 2 cards, each with one packet of seed. Thanks to this wonderful swap, and the others that naturally followed it, I can now send seeds to everyone! |

| Iris, do mean to tell me that people actually serve egg nog without the rum??? Isn't that against the rules? If any of you are into doing simple crafts, making your own Christmas cards is a LOT of FUN! Last year I made simple ones with black card stock and metallic markers, and received a lot of compliments on them, which made me feel good each time! You can get all kinds of decorations from the dollar store, or in the scrapbooking section at wal-mart, and have a great time! Who knew that doing such a simple thing could spread so much joy in the world? Iris, thanks for reminding me! I'm gonna go get some decorations today! Peace. |
|
| Good Point where is Kym's list? We need to send to you also. Karen |

| It's time to get back to the wonderful people here at GW. I have been fighting off a depression over the past couple months. I am finding this such a hard time of year since John passed. Our 27th anniversary was Nov 5, our granddaughters 5th birthday is the 19, our 2 daughters both have birthdays in November, John's birthday is Dec 3 and our son's is Dec 30. I never expected it to be this hard. Anyway dusting myself off and trying to get back in the Holiday Spirit. Count me in! My wishes are simple: Anything with the name "John" in it If I come up with any specifics I will post when I get back from Disney...I am taking our granddaughter for her 5th birthday on Nov 19. It was a promise grandpa and I made 2 years ago and I will not let this girl down! Kim |

Kim keep you chin up! I can relate. When my mom died a few years back it took all the joy out of the holidays for me. She was the center of our world - our family- and now everyone is scattered and does their own thing. It takes this forum to bring the holiday joy back. With that being said, I'd like to add that I love surprises and if anyone has great seeds that need a loving home send them my way. Also, would greatly appreciate some red castor bean seeds for my red bed. La Donna |

| I am happy to see that there are more and more wishes I can fill!! I can't wait till it's time to send. I wanted to share this info with you all. In BHG magazine they have an article about recycling old greeting cards. Visit the website stjudesranch.org for donation info. They support abused, abandoned and neglected kids. The children earn money by removing the front of the cards and use them to make new cards out of recycled paper. They sell the cards in packs of 10. I am looking forward to participating in this! Just an idea for your greeting cards after the holidays. Hope everyone survived Monday!! Heidi |
