| April~ This sounds like fun...but I'll need to think about it. I don't know for sure how busy I'll be for the next few weeks! And Wendy is doing the chocolate swap in the MNF next month...so...it's a toss up! I hate to miss either one, but I honestly probably won't be able to do either. :O( Anyway, I'll let you know before the cutoff date! Melissa |

| The picture is great, April!!! Good idea for the swap, too, but I will not be able to join in. Just too much going on right now. I don't feel like I could do a good job shopping and/or making things for my partner with all that is going on this month and next. Everyone have fun! Jeanne |

| April~ If everyone is OK with it (because I will have a baby SOMETIME in the next few weeks, and can't be for certain that I can get my box out *right* on time) I think I WILL join this month. It will be a juggle, but I love Christmas. I didn't get a chance to participate in the swaps last season, so I really want to this year. But, like I said...if anyone has any concerns about me joining, I completely understand! I really DON'T want to make anyone wait for their box. Melissa |

Thanks so much for hosting & I loved the dance. Such talent you have! Melissa, I'll take you as partner if I can & I don't care when or if you are able to send. That precious little girl is so very important! I completely understand. Blessings to all & have a wonderful weekend. Margaret |

I'm getting excited about the holidays...this is the first year in a LONG time we are actually able (financially) to do more than window shop. Still can't do ALOT, but God has been good to us this year, and it makes me excited. :O) April~ If you want to go ahead and give me a partner, that would be fine. It's up to you, I'm fine either way. I'll go ahead and get started on my box, anyway, with some things I'm fairly certain will be nice for anyone. :O) Margaret~ Thank you for offering to be my partner! I appreciate that so much! |

| Hi everyone, I have been thinking about this every day and trying to figure out if I can join or not. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to skip this month. My finals at school are the week that the boxes are due out. I just don't feel like I'd have enough time to put into creating a nice box for my partner. :-( :-( I'll keep reading the posts though to see what everyone gets. Have fun!! Amy |
|
| Marie, So sorry to hear about you getting laid off. What a crummy time of year for that to happen! I'm hoping it doesn't last long. As April said don't be a stranger. | Good Morning All! Is it too cold for anybody to receive bulbs? Any no sweet diets going on? I need addresses(please!!) from: *Remy *Shirley Amy~ sorry that you won't be joining. I understand with school & the holidays it is a VERY busy season for all. Deb~ Thanks for joining! Carol~ Where are you?? Your name is missing from Santa's list!!! OBF Santa's so far: Passing later...April |
|
- Posted by hazelnutbunny 7A (My Page) on Wed, Nov 19, 08 at 10:09
| April~ I wouldn't mind receiving bulbs that can be forced inside, like paperwhites, hyacinth or maybe an amarylis. They would be lovely for Christmas. :O) But it's really too cold (and I"m too round! LOL) to plant anything outside. We are actually expecting our first snow flurries on Friday! Brrrrrrr!!!! As for diets....NOPE! Not on one! :O) So my partner can feel free to send anything she wants in that area. I probably NEED to be on a diet...but I'll save that for next year. LOL |
|
| Remy, I'm going to school for my Master's degree in Software Engineering. Some days I wonder why, but it's rewarding. :-) It kills me that some of you are still talking about trading plants! I'm so jealous. It's supposed to get down into the teens tonight and most of our daytime highs this week have been in the 30's to low 40's. YUCK! Definitely too cold for me to be thinking about planting anything anytime soon. Have fun! Amy |

| I haven't stopped in for awhile. I hope everyone is doing fine (or better than they were at least.) Marie, I am so sorry to hear about your job and I know some are facing health issues - that is so sad at holiday time. I wish you all happy days ahead! My older daughter moved to CA about two months ago and was renting a house in Santa Barbara. Anyway, their house was totally destroyed in the fire a week ago. It has sort of left me numb. It was a furnished rental so they didn't lose many things and they got their two dogs out okay as well as their cars. (A few people have passed along to me that this happens every fall in CA with the uncontrolled wildfires and the strong winds spreading the fire. "Mom" is trying to get a more relaxed opinion of this, but right now I am tense and nervous about the whole deal. She had already experienced a minor earthquake since they moved there. I am starting to think I prefer SC's heat in the summer rather than facing those other weather concerns.) If I am not posting for awhile, I am still trying to get my mind off the fire and will be working really hard until the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine will be filled with pets. LOL Jeanne |
|
| April, I just sent you my address through your page. Let me know if you don't get it. Melissa, Amy, Jeanne, |
|
| Jeanne, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's struggles. Sometimes these things help us put life in perspective though. We saw a very awful fatal crash on the highway last weekend and it really makes you stop to think. Marie, I am thinking of you and hoping you find work soon. This is such a hard time for so many people. I hope the economy turns around soon. Melissa, have you had that baby yet? It's so hard at the end. My youngest was a December baby and you just want everything done so the holidays can go smoothly, right? Well, best of luck. I'm still stewing about whether to participate this month. I will post later today when I get a chance to look over my calendar and upcoming schedule. Theresa |

| Hi, Ladies-What a beautiful day here it has been. Have had only a few flurries this fall & this week is supposed to be grand for Holidays. I am anxious to get my email on Monday to see who I send to. I have done some shopping for this & have things in mind, too. I would like to jump ahead too for hostess, if I could. I would like to have May "Flowers & Showers" if that is alright. If others had planned on May that is fine & I will be glad to take another month or just wait & see if there is one open that no one else wants. I am excited to be hostess but know I will need help. Most of us will have a busy week, I know so pray it is a wonderful Thanksgiving & Thanksliving for all. This is for you, Diane. You will enjoy this RR a lot. I sure have. Blessings, Margaret |

| Hi All, Work has been insane! Of course I realize this is nothing new being the weekend before Thanksgiving. It will be crazy through Wednesday and I will have worked a week straight then. So I may stab someone by then, lol. My father came in to say goodbye today. He is going back to Florida, and we joked that now the weather will return to normal. It has been way colder than normal! | Hi everyone, can you believe Thanksgiving is Thursday? April, please count me in for December. Shirley, i'll take April - a little april showers bring may flowers kind of thing. Welcome to the group, Dianne. Margaret, I thought of you tonight when watching 60 Minutes. Andy Rooney was sounding off about Christmas "rubbing out" Thanksgiving. I learned something new...Thanksgiving is in no way a money maker for stores, so it gets shoved on the back burner. Sad. Remy. how long was your bro's mouth wired shut? As inconvenient as that is, what a diet. Rates right up there with a coma diet. Melissa, what is your actual due date? It's been awhile, but I certainly remember the end of the pregnancy term, I didn't think i could do another day. well, i'm 4 minutes until tomorrow and i want to get in this month's swap, so peace and prayers to all who need it. maryanne |
|
| Maryanne, I know what you mean. Christmas arrives much earlier and even "rubs out" Halloween it seems. Halloween costumes and Christmas decor in the store at the same time! It is sad that people burn out on Christmas but no wonder. Remy/Shirley, I would definitely be interested in a seed swap in January. I have been busy harvesting seeds this year. Melissa, I know we are all thinking of you and wishing you luck right now. Hope you are getting a little sleep despite how uncomfortable you probably are because you know you won't be getting any after baby arrives. I'm so excited for you! Theresa |

First time anything like this has ever happened to him. I'm trying not to say awhole lot about it. Don't want him to get depressed. He actually carries our insurance with his Company because it is better than what is offered where I work. Guess I will have to take it out where I work. Any insurance is better than no insurance. Thanksgiving blessings to all. Shirley |

| Awww, Shirley. I am so sorry to hear about your DH. What was his job? I think we are living in pretty scary times right now. Same thing happened to my hubs a couple of years ago. Not an easy time of it, either. Praying for him. Mary Ellen/Mellen |

| I didn't get my name. April, did you send, or perhaps you missed my wanting to be in this month. If so, not a problem, I'll wait for the January. Shirley, i've been laid off more times than I wish to think about and it's just my salary. Talk about depressed at times, but it always has a way of working out. Trish, great to see you. I agree with MaryEllen, anytime you want to come back, the door is always open. We just added three more to Thanksgiving, with a possible 4th. i thought it was just going to be us...change is good. still a small crowd, but at least we'll all fit around the table comfortably. be well, |

| good afternoon everyone. hope you are all well and getting ready for tomorrow! april, i did get the email you sent yesterday, but not the first one. there wasn't an attachment of the first email you sent, so i couldn't compare to see where the mix-up was with the address. i hope i don't have to change my address now since you actually posted it. that's a welcome to spammers. for future, no one should post an actual email address or if you do, put spaces or spell out "at" or "dot com". hope everyone has a great thanksgiving. i've been cooking and baking most of today. i think i'm going to go out for chinese tonight! april, is this swap anything goes? holiday related? plants - to those that can receive? should we post some things? (can you tell it's been awhile since i've swapped?) well, i need to get out of here before the monsters come home. be well,

| Maryanne ~I'm soo sorry for posting the address. I didn't think about spammers when I posted it.Maybe that's why alot of people do not have their e-mail address on their member page? It makes it hard to set up trades though. For the swap just send a SMALL flat rate box of holiday cheer. Your welcome to send plants to those that can receive them.As far as I know no one is on any restricted diets either! I've got the desserts all baked & will fire up the smoker for the bird around midnight. later.....April |

| Remy-The extra days combined with a week-end off is definetely worth it. I have 4 days off and am enjoying every minute, dreading Monday though. Our Thanksgiving was great and my Niece did show up. She drove up from S.C. and drove back last night. We sure tried to make her feel welcome. I'm not going to get on any scales for a few weeks. Yikes I can feel the extra pounds already. We still have a huge dinner to go to Saturday for DH side of the family. Shirley |

| I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! :O) We didn't end up having a holiday baby, which was probably a good thing...since we spent the day at my in-laws. Today's the official day, although I WAS warned by my mom that she'd be VERY upset if I had the baby today...as that's her brother's birthday, and she doesn't get along well with him. Seems a bit immature to me...but OH WELL. I'll humor her and wait a bit. :O) Like I HAVE a choice. LOL Anyway...I hope everyone is having a great Friday as well. Did anyone brave the stores this morning for any deals? I sure didn't! :O) I'm a chicken. Melissa |

| April~ I'm glad it made it OK & you liked everything. I did find something that didn't make it into the box, though...I must have been distracted. LOL Can't believe I forgot it, since I picked it out just for you. :O) I'll mail it out to you later. I hope everyone has a great Monday! Melissa |
|
| Goodness, what a wonderful box of gifts! Melissa, you seem to send the coolest stuff! AND to a very deserving person, I might add. I sent out my box today to.......I'll never tell! LOLOL I just want all of you to know how much you mean to me. I am so lucky to belong to such a caring group of women. I think if we ever met, we would be great friends. Melissa, how have you been feeling the last couple of days? I've been thinking and wondering about you. Need to get moving and get some stuff done before bedtime. |

| Well...I am beginning to think it's just gas, and wondering if I'll EVER have this baby! :O) Everyone over on the MNF thread has been giving me labor inducing ideas...but so far, I haven't gotten anything to work. I'm going to try Mark's chili tonight, just gotta get to the store to get all those peppers. And WOW, is that alot of peppers!! Carol~ We haven't definitely decided on a name yet, we're still tossing them around. I like Bliss or Blessing, but hubby says NO. He's more of a "stick to the classics" guy, where I'm "let's give her a name that will stand out and make her unique". How is everyone doing? It's been really quiet here lately. Maybe everyone is still conked out from all that tryptophan on Thanksgiving. :O) I, personally, think one day of eating isn't enough. They should officially extend Thanksgiving to 2 or maybe even 3 days. Just have an all you can eat turkey & dessert buffet! Of course, they'd have to make it a law that the calories couldn't count. |
|
| Hang in there Melissa. I know the feeling though. One of the things I did to help bring on labor was eat all the spiciest food at an all-you-can-eat mexican place. In the end, I just ended up throwing up all night with no baby to show for it! Theresa |

| Hi All, I've had a pretty boring last few days, nothing too exciting to write about. I've worked. Gary and I have been watching Christmas specials. I like to sing along and drive Gary nuts, lol. Humm.. I got my hair done, no more gray, but more importantly this time, no scraggly ends. I went too long without cutting it. Oh! my tomato gardening friend Hilde, who I originally met on the internet but lives nearby and we have become good friends, had Gary and I over for dinner on Sat. She made a real Norwegian dinner. She is originally from there. The best though was the cherries she canned from our road trip to the daylily farm over the summer. The came out great and she made homemade whipcream, yum! | Hi everyone, sure hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving. we had a great dinner, the upside to drama from the previous days; easy-going company and i must say, it was the prettiest bird i ever cooked and ever so moist that no one touched the gravy. remy, do you still use your aeroarden? i just got one. the mint and dill are taking forever. i won't be sad if the mint doesn't come up, it grows like a week outside. i do want the dill though. shirley, sorry to hear your hubs is out of work. i've been experiencing layoff since 2005. i sure hope things begin to pick up and get back on track once the new administration gets in and has a chance to work a little magic. nice boxes sent/received so far. i've been working on mine, a little here and little there. hope to get it out next week. i think i have to do some investigating on my partner though. april, my guess for your game is a mailman. anyone finished christmas shopping yet? anyone start? anyone just saying the heck with it? i made the conscious decision early on that i'm not doing that whole "auntie, friend and family" thing this year. i have my outreach programs and the baby will have some things to open - she already has more than she needs and the parentals promised not to go overboard. she'll be more fascinated with the tree, lights and decorations anyway. last year she just wanted to open boxes, didn't care what was in it, just liked ripping the paper...wonder if i could get away with wrapping empties boxes this year!!!! i did buy a play kitchen and am looking forward to giving it to her. i've already started her with a version of cooking, so now she can be at her own oven, sink and frig doing her thing. she "helps" in the garden too. i absolutely adore my little shadow. i have a very large family and it's difficult to keep up with all the electronic gadgets/games everyone seems to get. i'm amazed at how my parents ever survived christmas (or anything really) with seven kids. i know it was a different time back then, but i couldn't imagine asking or expecting a $50.00 video game cartridge, let alone the system, or a cell phone, digital camera, etc., and i never felt i didn't have everything i needed. different times I guess, and no one was keeping up with the joneses! has anyone seen that movie australia? both the guys that were sitting in siskel's and ebert's chairs gave it a thumbs down. it was on my list to see, but now I’m wondering if I should skip it. Be well everyone! Stay warm |

| April~ I will guess Cox Cable? Maybe he's an internet guy....I know most of us use THAT every day. :O) I'm drawing a blank...I know I should know this one! lol I am finally having a relaxing (HA!) week. The kids are finished with their school work for the next week & 1/2, so no more tests. Hubby was upset that I didn't schedule them to be off Christmas week, but that just didn't work with their studies. They DO have Christmas day off, though. Plus the day after. But honestly...I REALLY thought I'd need a break this week more, since I THOUGHT we'd have a little one by now. :O) Carol~ That was a great box you received from Mellen! It sounds like she put alot of thought into it. But then, she always does. :O) I'm going to walk some more & eat some more pineapple. Ah, the on-going saga of "Let's get this baby outta here" LOL Have a great day, everyone! |

| Wow, April....this isn't easy. :O) I have no clue, honestly. Maybe he's a waste management guy? |
|
| Hmmmmm.... I am going to take a stab at it and say auto company???? It is getting really cold here tonight. Well, cold for us Texans. LOL.. It is supposed to be in the 20's. Had to make sure all of my plants were covered up. I planted several daylilies in pots this past weekend. My back was feeling it when it was all said and done. I am very close to wrapping up my secret santa package. Just have maybe one or two more things to add. Dianne |
|
| Just checking in to see if anyone won yet. I see not. My second guess was going to be a paper products company since I know a lot of products are made down there, but I don't think any companies started in Ann Arbor(Georgia Pacific I assume started in Georgia, lol) and I think we all use paper products every day. I'm going out to Vidler's 5 and 10 on Monday with my sis-in-law so I can't mail until Tuesday. Because I'll kick myself if I see something there to put in the box! It is a really neat old store. | Remy-Sure glad I don't live near that store I would be in there shopping everyday. What a neat store. Maryanne-Australia is on my list to see but our theatre did not get it here. I'm going to see if one of the near by towns theatre is showing it and go. I really like love stories and several of us ladies always go together since DH's want go with us. I gave DH orders to get all my Christmas boxes out of storage so I can start decorating the house. I'm having a cookie/ornament party next Tuesday so have to have it all done before then. Sure wish some of you lived closer and you could come. Cookie parties are the most fun ever during Christmas and the Chinese Christmas game is the grand finale. April does he work for a milk company or sonmething similar? Shirley |

| Maybe Tires Plus? I don't shop for tires alot, we have a "do-it-all" family station that we use for all our car stuff (that we don't do ourselves). So I have NO clue what tire companies there are out there. :O) Does anyone have any big plans for the weekend? None here, we're probably just going to chill out at home. The boys hauled wood in last Sunday, and they may do that again this weekend- it's going FAST! I constantly have a fire going, I'm cold all the time! Have a good weekend & stay safe, everyone! |

| Congrats Bunny! That was a hard contest. Just booked flights to Michigan for the holidays! I'm very excited and the boys are really hoping to get to play in some snow. Last time we were up there in winter we brought Florida weather with us....it was quite green up there at Christmas two years ago. Also, I am quite relieved to have received DS's MRI results back. I have aged ten years in the last month worrying about these headaches. Normal results though indicate probably migraines. He's only 7 (well almost 8)...I didn't know they could get migraines so young. What a relief though...I was fearing the worst as is usually the case with my anxiety problems. I hope you all are enjoying your packages. It's a good thing I sat out...I haven't even started my shopping yet. I haven't been able to do much of anything with all these doc appointments. This is my big weekend though for decorating and shopping! Theresa |

| Oh wow, really? Thank you, April! I was just throwing guess out there. LOL Didn't expect to actually get one right. :O) Theresa~ That is great news about your DS! :O) That has got to be such a relief for you to know it's something that can be cared for. We always hate to see the little ones suffering, but at least now you have a starting point and can work on finding something that works for him. I hope everything goes well for you & he starts feeling better soon. Hubby is taking me to the lake today to do some hiking. Seems he thinks I should walk this baby out. Like I haven't been trying that all week?? :P Oh well, if it'll make him happy, I'll go hiking in the 20 degree weather. But HE has to make supper tonight, doggone it. LOL I hope everyone has a great weekend! |

Anyone know how long daylily & iris tubers can be out of the ground? I plan on taking as much of my garden as possible!I think I'll dig them up, knock the dirt off, & put them each in paper lunch bags with their names on them. Think they will be ok? Theresa~ glad everything is ok with your little one.Hate when they are hurting & you don't know why.I always think the worst when test have to be ran. Guess I'm a cup's half empty kind of person. | Margaret, Congrats on being done with shopping! That is one huge feat! I thought I was doing well getting my decorating done yesterday. sniff sniff..... :( Poor Bunny. The stress of the holidays can be so much while waiting for a baby to arrive. I know this as I had a Christmas baby almost eight years ago now but he came two weeks late and I know that it was because of stress. I know we are all so anxious to see pictures of her. | Good morning everyone. Sure is a cold one here and we received a little bit of snow. The winds are outrageous though. News report earlier suggested tying down anything that might blow away. Yesterday, although it was cold, it was a pleasure to do a little work outside, not as brutal as today. Amazing how quickly things change. I did receive my secret Santa and WOW, it’s a box packed with all kinds of goodies. I received: *an assortment of seeds (right in time for winter sowing) *seed bags Thanks "Santa". I believe I know who sent to me because I think I recognize your writing :-). If so, you sent me dahlias once before and my goodness, do they flourish like mad. Looking forward to these!!!! | i can attest to wegman's. the first time i walked in to one, i thought i could live there. it goes well beyond supermarket. yes, i am a short italian woman and i've been told once or twice that i am an excellent cook LOL (throwing out the modesty, remy!). you certainly sound like you had a wonderful weekend and what a wonderful addition to gary's collection. a lot of times when people order first birthday cakes, they always get a "side" cake just for the birthday celebrant. lol at the piggly little kids you've seen! they grow into piggy adults, sadly. blazing the oregon trail are you, april? good luck with the move. do you have a large house to box up? is it on the market already? best yet, does your hub's company cover your moxing expenses? and if you are renting a u-haul (or similar rental truck), check with your personal automobile carrier to make certain your policy will covr you for a rental truck (not all do) in the event there's a mishap. from uhaul, purchase the supersafe move coverage...make sure it's the super and not just regular safemove. before you pull out of their lot, check the truck thoroughly with the rental guy - and don't forget to check the lift gate, and at each stop you make, check your truck. they have a way of making any little mishap the customer's fault. theresa, what wonderful news and such relief for your family. what is the treatment plan recommended at your son's age? some homeopathic things you can try are scents. lavendar is one of the most calming scents. bergamont is another one that has been scientifically proven to soothe and just smelling it has an effect on brainwaves. candles, incense, oils - these would be very helpful to him. foods can trigger them as well. nuts; most cheese; peppermints; certain beans; wheat; bananas; salt and caffeine, etc. Melissa, do you have names picked out for the baby yet? Are you aware of the baby's sex? I just love newborns - their cry, their smell. what a delight. one last guess - louisianna? maryanne |

| Oh, April...I'm sorry you're losing your house that way! We lost our first house through a bankruptcy. It was a big relief on the one hand (we had SO many dr bills & other stuff, we couldn't keep up), but on the other...you feel a bit like a failure. Mixed emotions, to be sure! But you're right...it just makes you more aware and cautious the next time around. It took us nearly 5 years to be willing to jump back in the home owner market, and even then.....we weren't ready. LOL Wishing you LOTS of luck with your move! I hope it brings only good things for your family from here on out! A new start! YAY! :O) Congrats to Maryanne! No baby yet (obviously, LOL) but will keep everyone updated. I'm getting anxious...just wanting everything to be finished already. I HATE not being able to make holiday plans! Or even plans to be able to run errands like I normaly do. I feel SO unorganized!! :O) Have a great Monday, everyone! |
|
| Hang in there Melissa and get as much sleep as you can. Maybe we should take bets on which day the baby will come. I say this Wednesday! In fact, I will make it a contest if you don't mind me jumping in to do so. Whoever guesses the baby's birthday correct gets a prize from me. If it's Wednesday, I will give myself a prize :) April, I am so sorry you are losing your house. What a difficult ordeal. I hope you enjoy your fresh new start in Oregon. What is bringing you to the complete opposite side of the country? Maryanne, Thanks for the tips on the scents. I will definitely try them. Right now they just have me keeping a headache journal until we get in to see the neurologist who will probably just give me some handouts on migraines and say the same thing...avoid triggers when you figure out what they are. So far, the only thing I have figured is maybe lack of sleep and hunger. Well, off to play chauffeur for the evening. Stay warm ladies. Theresa |

| Gosh Melissa you are getting closer to my Birthday. I do hope that little one gets here before the 24th for your sake. I will guess Friday----8 lbs 2 oz April-Sorry to hear the news about your house but glad you will be living near family. I live close to all my family and it's really nice. When I played in the fields here when I was a child I never dreamed my house would be built in one of them one day. My daughter even lives right below me. Theresa-I know you must have worried yourself sick until you found out your Son's problem was migraines. I have always had lots of headaches and am just amazed when someone tells me they never have headaches. Maybe someday you can retire in North Carolina like most do who live in Florida. They have homes here and in Florida (that must be the life). If I get to live in Florida when I retire it will probably be in a camper but that is alright. I will live here in the Spring, Summer and Fall and go to Florida in the Winter. Remy-I definetely need to visit you soon, Vidlers and now I hear about Wegmans. My cookie party is getting closer. I meant to clean and cook all day today but went shopping with my DD. Did pick up some things I will need for serving my guests. Margaret thank you for the prayers and I will let you know how the cookie party turns out. I really need to get off this computer and go make my punch for it has to be frozen before tomorrow night. DH's Sister has lots of pecan trees on her property and always gives us the big brown grocery bags full of pecans. I was sure dreading cracking out all those pecans. Well we took them to a hardware store in Georgia today and they had a machine that cracks the shell on them. They are really easy to get the pecan out then. They only charged us 30 cents a pound to do them which was well worth it. Sure wish they could do black walnuts the same way. Shirley |

| melissa, what is/was your actual due date? theresa, excellent idea for a game. april, sorry to hear of your troubles. i'm sure oregon will be a fresh and rewarding new beginning. this economy really needs to turn around and i certainly hope soon. it's so disturbing to see pages of foreclosures in the newspapers, hear of constant lay-offs, etc. i haven't held steady work since december 2004. remy, sounds like a great find. from the pix of that store, i believe i would find me a thing or two. shirley, i agree - go for a visit. remy lives in an area with plenty to do and see and she's not too bad a hostess and tour guide if i do say so myself, and you would certainly enjoy her gardens. carol, wonderful to see you. my g-babe is just fine. - she's in that terrible two's stage i sure hope your cookie party is a great success, shirley. looking forward to hearing all about it. mary ellen, did you have your surgery yet? wouldn't it be something if melissa is at the hospital right now having the baby? i went one day after my due date and even that one extra day was such a PITA to be just that - one more day! maryanne |

| My actual due date was Nov 28th, I'm REALLY late. I'm already dilated to 5cm, so I'm halfway there. LOL My other babies were all late too: Maybe that will help everyone with their guessing. :O) It is looking so rainy & yucky here. We had a bit of rain last night, with TONS of thunder. We don't really need the rain, and the kids (and hubby!) are disappointed that it wasn't cold enough to be snow. A cold front is supposed to come in today, though, and turn everything into snow/sleet/yucky stuff. (yay!....NOT!) I hope everyone has a great day! |
|
| Remy, I had never seen that info on migraines and gluten intolerance. My dad has self-diagnosed gluten intolerance so I will definitely check into that and maybe ask the doc for a screening. Lord help that little boy if he can't have wheat anymore though. He is a carb addict! Melissa, Wow! I didn't know you had run so late before. I am feeling sorry for you but of course it's all worth that little bundle of joy. I will gues 9 lbs even as my DS was. Theresa |

| Hi All, My secret santa pkg. is on its way. Hopefully someone will find out that they've been a good girl in a couple days : ) Shirley, Mellen, Melissa, |

| Remy, I have christmas greens and floral foam all over me and three fingers are painted gold, getting real busy. Bunny baby will be here saturday 8lbs 13 oz. has anyone else noticed mixed nuts in shells seem to no longer have pecans in them ?I need a pecan fix. I thought work would be slower this year because of the economy but we are swamped. when I had migranes they were due to bright light. sunglasses helped. I quit having them after my stroke and surgery. in my case more blood to the brain made them go away. terrible two's well named !!hugs to all carol |

| April, received a beautiful Santa box from you yesterday. THANKS!!!! I will post soon. Surgery was last Tuesday. All went well. |

| sunday - 7 pounds, 12 ounces melissa, do you deliver quick or is your labor drawn out? carol, i do notice the difference in the mixed nuts. they are always a staple from thanksgiving through the new year. shirley, that's great that the store cracked the nuts. is that something new or has the shop been doing it for a while? mellen, nice to see ya, even if it was only the back of your head LOL. hope you are not in too much pain and you have help. does anyone here still use an antenna for their tv? have you purchased one of those converter boxes? how is it working for you? i'm still working on my box. do we have a mail by date? go figure, it was as cold as anything the last few days and today, albeit a drizzle, the air is just wonderful. it's almost warm. be well |

| Earthly I purchased the box, if you go to google and type in converter box it will send you to a site where the government gives you a cupon for 40.00 off the box which makes it cost 10.00 at walmart. noticed Shirley already had saturday so monday 9lbs 13 oz. sorry bunny but I was gonna guess 12 lbs. If any of you know Gloria on tdl, she had a heart attack and is in the hosp. please pray for her, if you don't know her, please include her in your prayers as a favor to me. hugs carol |
|
| Melissa hasn't posted since yesterday morning. Maybe that's good news! We're thinking of you Bunny! Carol, I will say a prayer for Gloria. I do hope she recovers fully. April, We moved alot when my husband was still in the military. Four times in ten years....It was always exciting to be going to a brand new place. I wouldn't want to move now that the kids are older but it can be fun. Hope all are staying warm :) Theresa |

| *sigh* No news yet, Theresa. :O( Still big & round here. Nothing has happened yet, and the last thing I heard was "Let's give it another week or 2." AGH. So evidently, NO ONE knows when I'll be popping. And no one WANTS to help me pop. LOL Carol~ 12 lbs??!! OW! No, thank you....I think I'll pass. :O) I WAS hoping for a nice, small baby..it would make things so much easier!..but after cooking for so long, I think this one will be bigger. Dang it. I hope everyone else is staying safe & having a great week. It's almost Friday! Yippee! :O) Melissa |

| Yes, Maryanne....blame it on the hormones. I REALLY didn't mean to ignore your questions!! I'm so sorry... :O) Yes, it's *supposed* to be a girl. We've got a name picked out, just deciding on a second name to go with it. We're torn between 2 names. I also have really quick labors, and most have been very easy. I only had problems with one, and that was because she came too fast, and I lost too much blood too quickly. TMI? :O) Remy~ And a quick one! I REALLY don't want to wait another 2 weeks. UGH! The baby is fine, healthy & strong heartbeat...it's just ME that's miserable. LOL I don't want to worry anyone, so I want to let everyone know that I've got a really BUSY weekend ahead. I may not post for a day or two. Hubby's got a company party to attend, so we'll be getting ready for that. Hopefully, I have the baby as well this weekend.....LOL I hope everyone has a great weekend! |
|
| Melissa, hang in there. Maybe it will be this weekend. April, I hope you enjoyed your stone treatment today. That sounds awesome. Congrats Maryanne on winning the last contest. I will guess Tuesday for the baby's arrival and I will say 8lbs 8oz. I sent my package out on Monday so it should have been received it by now. It shows it was deliverd on the usps website. I hope there wasn't a mix up anywhere. I will keep Gloria in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to finish up my Christmas shopping this weekend. These past few weeks have just flown by and Christmas will be here before you know it. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Dianne |

| Hi all....A quick note to stop in and say hi. We're in the middle of a soccer tournament this weekend and I'm also trying to squeeze my shopping in. Shopping will be a little thinner this year. I made a huge mistake on booking our plane tickets. Long story short, I booked our return flight for January 30th instead of December 30th so to change all four tickets was $900! The tickets that I thought I'd got such a good deal on...well....I'm just sick about it but I'm moving past it. Very expensive mistake though. So I'm trying to penny pinch where I can to make up for it. I know.... there are worse things. Looks like everyone is getting very nice boxes. I'm glad you're having fun with this month's swap. So, no word on Bunny. How far out do our guesses go at this point? Tuesday? Don't forget....a prize from me to who guesses the day correct. Despite some of the difficulties right now, I hope everyone gets a chance to slow down and appreciate all the wonders of this time of year and to embrace the reason for the season. Theresa |

| Wow, those are GREAT boxes! Everyone is putting such thought into them....it's nice to see! :O) No change in anything here. I had contractions & backache all day yesterday, and thought FOR SURE it'd be last night. *sigh* Anyway...The Christmas party went OK. I posted some pics of the kids over on the MNF thread, if anyone wants to take a gander. :O) Melissa |

| Stopping in to say hello. Poor Bunny, no baby yet. You sure will be extra happy to lay eyes on her. Theresa, how horrible about the extra charges. April, sorry to hear about your home, but it's great that you are excited about the move. Carol, I guess it's a good thing that work is busy but when it is, you come home very tired. At least that's how I am. To anyone I didn't mention, thinking of you as well! Once Christmas wraps up it will be time for winter sowing. I saved more jugs this year so hopefully Santa will bring my potting soil and I will be all set! Jeanne |

| April, I tried sowing seeds on the Solstice last year and none of them grew - it seemed like I had the best luck with what I sowed from mid-January on so I will begin to sow in mid-Jan. this year. Once we get all the Christmas stuff put away I will go through my seeds and plan what to sow. It always used to seem like there was nothing going on from New Year's until Valentine's Day and now winter sowing fills in that void. Hope if some have never tried it, you give it a try this year.
