Dipogon lignosus in South Africa

For anyone from Weast or East Cape, can you tell me how rampant Dipogon lignosus is in habitat? This plant is classed as a dangerous weed (biosecurity threat) here in New Zealand, I'm just wondering how it behaves at home.

All I can tell you is that the Plant is offered for sale by Silverhill Seeds. Rachel Saunders is one of the most responsible horticulturists I have ever met; and would never knowingly proliferate a noxius weed.
