| That's quite a list DeeDs! Congrats. How many little seedling pots do you have? Or do you do "community" pots/flats and separate later? You really ought to post some pics of your growing area. Sounds fascinating. RJ |

Hi Safari, this is only a small part of my South African bulb seeds. I sow all my seeds in flats as you call them, over here we call then seed trays, each one contains 4 very thin trays, as I only had about 20 seeds of each variety is is enough space and means I can grow lots more! I grow them communally and then separate them when they are big enough to handle, leaving the rest to germinate or not as the case may be, as some species have quite erractic germination. My growing area is a small 6'x 8' greenhouse, with no additional heating, insulation or lighting, with triple layer staging - oh and lots of pots on the floor with more bulbs in. |
