My boyfriend brought me from a trip to Johannesburg seeds of "african daisy". Does anyone know its latin name? thanks!

Another thing that looks like a daisy is osteospermum.

Could also be Euryops pectinatus or a Felicia (various kinds ) or even a Gazania.

Most likely it is the annual Namaqualand Daisy which flowers profusely in late winter/spring.
It would be Dimorphotheca sinuata for the orange one, Dimorphotheca pluvialis for the white flowering one.

In Australia, African daisy is Osteospermum. They grow very easily from seed, and are purple or white.

Osteospermum seeds are light brown/tan, papery circles. The dimorphotheca seeds, I believe, are like little twigs. They aren't very long though, and are black in color.
