| We have ancient, waist-high and healthy Strelitzia planted around the front foundation of our hilltop house which lacking anywhere else to perch my ladder, I will need cut down to crown so's I may paint house. Yes I have a large articulating ladder and I still must do this. Assuming I don't leave a hose on them to induce rot and just leave them alone, I can expect them to eventually grow back? |

| Any established Strelitzia will come back just fine after being cut to the ground, particularly if you are careful to avoid the crown. It's a fairly standard practice to cut them back severely every couple of years in established landscapes. Ryan |
