Cut-down Strelitzia Regrow?

We have ancient, waist-high and healthy Strelitzia planted around the front foundation of our hilltop house which lacking anywhere else to perch my ladder, I will need cut down to crown so's I may paint house. Yes I have a large articulating ladder and I still must do this. Assuming I don't leave a hose on them to induce rot and just leave them alone, I can expect them to eventually grow back?

Any established Strelitzia will come back just fine after being cut to the ground, particularly if you are careful to avoid the crown. It's a fairly standard practice to cut them back severely every couple of years in established landscapes.
