Kaffir Lily Division

I somehow learnt a lesson this season.

My kafir lily grew large the past year and sent out about 5 baby plants over the winter. Since the pot is small, so I decided to divided the mother plant. This is my first time doing it.

To divide the plants, I had to cut off the crown and more than half of the roots from the mother plant. So the mother plant got small and weak.

Then the flower came. I somehow forgot that the flowers would come early summer. So the flowers are not strong.

Next time, if this happens again, I'll probably hold of the division until after the flowering. So I have more time to enjoy the blooming.
