Hi,

A contributor to this forum pointed out that Aloes are sensitive to fertilizers, like some other African plants. I guess they are sensitive to phosphorous, as are Proteas and related plant.

1. What do you use to fertilize Aloes?

2. Are there other South African plants that are sensitive to certain minerals?

Cordially,

I'm not too sure about the specific minerals they are sensitive to, but using compost or manure instead of fertilizer usually works quite well.
