Is Ceratotheca Triloba poisonous?

| Is South African Foxglove (ceratothea triloba) poisonous? If so, is it equally as poisonous as digitalis purpurea? |

| No it isn't, they are related. One is Digitalis (Scrophulariaceae) which produces the chamical digitalin used as a heart stimulant and regulator, the other is Ceratotheca (Pedaliaceae). The use of common names causes confusion like this which is why it's sensible not to use them. |

| oh dear...sure they are, they are in fact quite poisonous. although related to the true foxglove this one should NOT BE INGESTED AT ALL! be careful! |
