Is South African Foxglove (ceratothea triloba) poisonous? If so, is it equally as poisonous as digitalis purpurea?

No it isn't, they are related. One is Digitalis (Scrophulariaceae) which produces the chamical digitalin used as a heart stimulant and regulator, the other is Ceratotheca (Pedaliaceae).

The use of common names causes confusion like this which is why it's sensible not to use them.
