Hi, i am currently learning about native south african species, one of which is the erica racemosa, does anyone have any idea about what type of plant it is, its habit and what type of conditions its prefers, ie. soil, shade, shelter etc.

There are also two other types of Erica that i am having trouble finding information on:
-Erica subdivaricata
-Erica doliiformis

Anything that anyone knows would be a great help, Thanks

RE: Erica Racemosa - subdivaricata - doliiformis

just googled it. regarding subdivaricata it grows on moist temperate southern mountains in the kogelberg in full sun and generous winter rains(and dry summers). it prefers cool frost free winters and warm(not too hot) dry summers...not sure whether ur doliiformis is south african though
