I'm looking for someone who grows this plant. It only blooms after a fire though is a gorgeous plant and reportedly easy to grow but hard to bloom which has brought it to the forefront of my current lachenalia obsession.

Well, this got me to looking at them.....the one mentioned is OK I suppose, but zebrina is a knockout.....what an amazing leaf...who needs flowers......I've pretty much decided that any plant with the zebrina species epithet is a beauty :o) Dan

I've been looking at these fantastic plants recently, too... there are some incredible looking ones in cultivation, that much is for sure! I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like the best from what Telos has to offer. Zebrina isn't one of them, but there are others with interesting leaves.

Dan, you do grow some interesting plants and bulbs!

Dan I agree zebrina is a knockout but but the blooming only after a fire is more interesting from a biologist's view.
