| I would really like to try this species this year. Please post here or contact me privately by email if you have even a few seeds that you are sure is S. flava (yellow flowers with maroon lip). Thanks!

| Joseph, What you are looking for is Salvia flava var. megalantha. S. flava v. megalantha is also known in the nursery trade as S. bulleyana. Somehow some where in time the names got crossed. S. bulleyana is a completely different species with blue flowers. SG |

| I cannot find my records but I think Heronswood Nursery in Oregon has Salvia Flava. I purchased a plant last year and it has survived the winter and is now growing strong. It is the yellow salvia with the maroon markings you note. Was unable to get seeds the first year due to a large number of deer who do not watch where they are walkinig. |

| I was able to get my hands on some S. flava megalantha seeds and they are slow in growth but are still coming along. I hope they flower this year, the first year. Thank you both for your feedback. Joseph |
